Chapter 16 I am Mitos

Lovellia suddenly felt tired. All the hardships she had gone through all those years, it all started with Mitos. She doesn't have any more problems. She had enough. It was never her fault these bad things happened to her - it was because of Mitos and her father.
"Mitos had a reason why he was not here right now.”
She shoved the man’s hand when he tried to stop her. “I am not interested in his reasons. It's better that he never shows up in front of me ever again if he can't face me now.”
Her mood was ruined now. She saw the shocked look on the face of her handsome admirer. She lost her composure, he probably doesn’t like her anymore.
She would really come after Mitos’ head if her future love life would not push through because of this incident. He was really a nuisance in her life.
"Sir, please don't bother my cousin anymore," Kulas told the man off. "She already has a lot of problems."
"Let's just go, Kulas," Lovellia said and clung to her cousin's arm.
She had no time for Mitos anymore. She had her own life to deal with. He doesn’t need to come back to her life. He doesn’t even need to explain anything, she would not mind it. She just wanted him not to bother her again.
It was better that way. She would only get hurt if she remembered Mitos. She might lose her trust in men again. She was not expecting anything from him. If he ever learned about her situation now, he might run away from her. Again.
"Love, wait!" a handsome admirer called her.
"What now?"
She felt relieved when she saw her new dream man approaching her. She stayed where she was standing and stopped Kulas from leading her away. That's right. Handsome admirer must stop her from leaving. Because it was him that she wanted to be with. She wanted to see his beautiful smile to make her feel better. She hoped he would hold her hand to get rid of all her worries. He wanted to forget even for a moment. She wanted to escape - from her debts, from the syndicate that his father owed to, she wanted to escape from Mitos. She wanted to have simple happiness.
He grabbed both her shoulders and stared at her intently. There was no smile in his eyes. Instead, doubt, fear, and worry were reflected there. What's wrong?
“Love, don't leave. We need to talk. I am Mitos. ”
LOVE WAS STUNNED. Did she hear right? Was this handsome man really her ex-boyfriend now? For real?
"Mitos?"
It's only been five years since they last saw each other but has he really changed this much? If she didn’t forget that she was ‘blind’, she would have taken her sunglasses off and stared at him, checking every nook and corner of his unblemished skin.
How did this man become Mitos?
She raised her hand and he immediately took it in his, guiding her hands on his face. “It's me, Love. I am here again. ”
Even its voice changed. It was husky now. Very sexy voice. It was not just her eyesight that was being deceived by him. Even her hearing. Mitos's voice was not this cool that it could almost melt her heart.
She caressed his face. Mitos' forehead was wide but this man wasn't. His nose was pointed while Mitos was only moderately pointed. And the shape of its lips felt like it wanted her to kiss it. He was also taller than Mitos.
This man seemed to be in his thirties. He had an air of maturity and authority. Things Mitos didn’t have. Mitos had a laid-back personality. And she knew Mitos. In each of his smiles, there was a hidden sadness due to the hardships he has gone through in life.
She could not see that kind of suffering in this man. He looked like he had never encountered any type of hardship in his life. When he smiled, it was pure. It was not guarded as if he was afraid that other people would know about his dark past which he was ashamed of. What this man feels at the moment, he shows it. He was pure. There was a huge difference between him and Mitos.
And she felt for Mitos was pure. When they were still a couple, they never let their feelings take over them. They know when to draw the line. Respect was still there. She thought that he was not able to resist the temptation of women who might have been around him, since they really didn’t have any strong physical intimacy.
Not like the way she felt for this man. She loses her professionalism when he undresses in front of her.
She always loses herself, forgetting what was right and what was wrong.
This was not Mitos. She was sure of that.
Why was he trying to fool her like this? Why did he introduce himself as Mitos? Did he think that just because she was blind, she could be manipulated easily? Was he one of Mitos’ men out to make her life miserable?
