“Damn it! Damn that Mitos jerk! Why does he have to appear now that I got used to not having him in my life anymore? Damn him!” Love took off her shoes in extreme annoyance and hopped on the bus barefooted. If they happened to be in their own home, she would have thrown those shoes somewhere. She almost dragged her cousin out of the Sky Garden Restaurant just to get away from that handsome man pretending to be Mitos. But his anger was not directed towards that man but to Mitos himself. Does he have any idea how much mess he made in her life? Everything is going fine already. She allowed herself to dream again and to imagine that there was a possibility that a handsome prince would come and take all her sadness and loneliness away. She already found her dream man. It turned out that he was one of Mitos’ men. Maybe Mitos found out that she was blind and felt even more guilty about what he did to her. But out of fear, he got someone else to face her to take all her wrath that was meant for him. Not because she was blind, she could easily fool her again. Where did Mitos find that handsome man anyway? He was way better than Mitos. He looked more educated and refined. He didn’t look like he grew up in the kind of messed-up life like Mitos had. When he mentioned Cairo, he seemed like he was just talking about some neighborhood or something. He looked like someone who was from a pretty well-off family. How did he become one of Mitos servants? Was Mitos that rich? "He was a handsome damned man, Ate," Kulas said with a dreamy smile. “Is he really your ex-boyfriend? He had no taste when it came to women when he was younger then.” "Is that so?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. She wanted to hit her cousin's forehead with the heel of her shoe. "Are you saying that I’m ugly and that I don’t measure up to that handsome man earlier?” “What ‘handsome man’? That's your ex-boyfriend. Mitos. ” Kulas touched his cheeks. “No wonder you couldn’t get over him. Unfortunately, what you did earlier was so overdramatic, Ate. You made a little scene in that restaurant. Good thing we’re a bit far from the other people, otherwise, they’ll have a feast with your tv drama-ish scene over there.” She felt down again when she remembered what had happened earlier. She got carried away by her emotions. But who wouldn't be annoyed by what Mitos did anyway? On many occasions, she chose to remain silent and endure all the hardships she went through. She was too busy thinking of ways to get by, there was no time to spare for life’s dramas. She was more busy getting over her problems. But back at the restaurant, she didn’t know what happened when she just burst out all her restrained emotions. Mitos was the first to give her the toughest times. The man she didn't leave, but when she needed him he just forgot about her because he already had a comfortable life. That's exactly what came out of his mouth. Or the mouth of his impostor. She stared intently at the back of the bus seat in front of him. "He's not Mitos," she muttered. "What? What do you mean?” Kulas asked and turned to her. "Why would he call himself Mitos if he’s not Mitos?" "I don’t know. He doesn’t look like Mitos. At all. That man's eyes were too beautiful. And he has a pointed nose. Mitos's nose was not that sharp.” She doesn’t have a picture of Mitos. She had burned it all away when she realized he had no plans of coming back. That she was nothing but trash to him. Kulas, not even Bham, had ever seen what Mitos looked like. Mitos' has a boyish handsomeness in the last picture that he sent to her in an email three years ago. Well, he did look even more handsome in that picture than the last time they met, but it was impossible that he could be as handsome as the man earlier at the Sky Garden. Her cousin touched her shoulder. "Maybe be had some plastic surgery?" She laughed softly. “Surgery? He was not vain, he would not do such a thing.” “Ate, plastic surgery is a trend abroad. You said his boss was a famous international singer. Who knows, maybe that’s what his boss wanted. For him to look more handsome in front of other people. Who knows, maybe that’s his way to go up from his position and increase his salary… ” "And to get women who are richer and more beautiful than I am?" she added and shook her head. “No. That man earlier looks natural. No traces of plastic surgery. And he’s way taller than Mitos.” "Maybe he drank the drums of Cherifer." (Growth food supplement) "You're crazy!" She thought of what made that man different from Mitos. “And his voice was also different. Too husky. Like, you will know he was already handsome just by his voice. And you will know he was born rich just by the sound of his educated voice.” “Come on now, Ate. Those working at the call centers sounded more American than the Americans themselves. Nothing particular in having a good ‘educated’ voice. The handsome man earlier might have worked at a BPO for a long time, that’s why he sounded that good.” She touched her hands over her chest. “Whatever! I feel something different about him. Different from Mitos. And if he really is Mitos, I will know right away.”
