Chapter 19 Mage

Kassandra was busy looking for some papers when her phone rang. While looking at the papers, she took her phone to see who's calling her and then her brows furrowed.
It was her sister.
She put the phone back and continued reading the papers. She is not interested in what Romania is going to say. She knows that she is up to no good. But then to her annoyance because her phone kept ringing, she had no choice but to answer it.
“What?” She scowled.
“Oh? I thought you’re dead.”
She closed her eyes to calm down.
“I’ll give you thirty seconds to say what you are going to say. If not, I will block your number including your social media accounts.”
She laughed. “You have finally revealed your true color after seducing you for a big time? Tsk. But I am not going to say anything first since I don’t believe you really had a relationship. Why? How come you’re not posting anything about him to brag?
Oh my, sis, I called you to invite you, by the way. You know, Harlorn and I are getting married next week on Monday. I would love to see my beautiful sister at my wedding. Bye.”
She clenched her fist and dropped the call. Her sister made it sound like she is mocking her and it pisses her off. How she wishes to crumple that annoying face of hers.
Wedding?
She chuckled. So her sister has finally made a decision to tear her down?
Well, she was wrong there. Romania still thinks that she is not over with Harlorn but she was totally wrong for that. She had nothing to do with Harlorn now. But attending their wedding might be a bit interesting to pay back.
She just finished the papers she needs to sign and read the reports she has received. When she was done, she checked the time and left the office to go to her unit.
When she got inside, she dialled Jacob’s number.
“Are you busy?” She asked after being answered.
“No, I’m not.”
“Let’s have dinner together on my floor.”
“Yes. I’m coming.”
She hummed and reminded him, “Take care.” Before dropping the call and charging her phone.
She immediately changed her clothes and prepared dishes to eat. While still in the kitchen, she heard the ringing of her doorbell so she went to open it.
“Hi.” She greeted him and beamed.
He smiled as well before he kissed her cheek and hugged her tight.
“I missed you.”
She laughed and bit his chest causing him to moan.
“You’re so busy lately. You don’t have time for me anymore.” She pouted as they were dancing while hugging each other.
“I’m sorry.”
“But it’s okay. I also got work. The only difference is that I have more people to handle my work than you.” She laughed and broke the hug to walk back to the kitchen.
“Let’s have a full day date on the weekend.” She stopped midways and looked back at him. “And by the way, next Monday, you have to not make any appointments in advance.” She continued walking back.
“What’s the occasion?”
“My sister’s wedding. She insulted me before inviting me.”
Jacob, who's taking off his shoes, starts walking to the sofa while untying his necktie.
“What did she say?”
“She does not believe our relationship because I don’t post it to my social media account. So this time, I will take pictures of everything and make her jealous of everything.”
Jacob laughed because of what she said and walked to the kitchen.
“You should take pictures of me more often then.” He cheered and saw Kassandra serving the food so he looked for spoons and forks to help her.
“You don’t mind me taking pictures?” Kassandra asked.
“It’s fine as long as you’re happy.”
Kassandra just chuckled. “Anyway, I had an appointment in your company’s café tomorrow.”
Jacob stilled and his brows furrowed.
“To whom?”
“It was Mage Frendo. I am telling you in advance not to be surprised if you ever see me at your company.”
“You really befriended that guy?”
“Yes. He is a good guy but he is an introvert. I wanted to help him since he is new to this country.” They positioned themselves to eat.
“Is he handsome in your eyes?”
“Yes. He has a beautiful smile and a pure heart.”
“Don’t I have a beautiful smile?”
Kassandra stilled and looked at him in disbelief. She was talking normally and she did not even notice that he was becoming childish.
“What are you saying? You have a deadly smile.”
“Deadly smile?”
“Yes. The one that smiles and it looks like you are planning something bad.”
“W-What?” He was shocked.
“What ‘w-what’? Let’s eat. Why do you need to worry about that?” She started eating.
Kassandra ate normally as always but she could feel how grumpy her front was. And when she takes a glance at Jacob, all she can see is a bitter look on his face. Until then, she gets annoyed by his mood.
“What is wrong with you? You look like an unmarried old guy.”
And because of what she said, it felt like the whole kitchen had become dark.
“Tell me, Kassandra. Am I handsome in your eyes?”
She looked at him confused, specifically the structure of his face. He has a nice jawline and kissable lips. His eyes are the most outstanding one. It was intimidating and powerful.
“You’re handsome. Why would I come to you determined if you cannot be physically feasted? I mean, you are really handsome.”
And at that moment, Kassandra felt that the kitchen seemed like a beach that felt really cool and spacious.
So then, she can now see his smiling face all throughout the dinner.
“Jeez, what has gotten to you?” Kassandra scowled.
“Tell me who’s more handsome, that guy or me?”
“You are a devil and Mage is an angel.”
“What?” His gaze darkened.
“But you are more of my type. That kind of guy is only good for friends.”
“Hehe.”
Kassandra is getting annoyed by the frequent change of mood and now she is staring at him.
“Really? What’s the deal with you? Did you perhaps get run over and you are a ghost?”
“Hehe.”
Kassandra shook her head.
