“Good morning madam~ I’m back~” Kassie cheerfully greeted the madam whom she waited to wake up.
“You’re finally back, Kassie.”
“Here’s your morning milk, madam~”
The madam gets up to drink what Kassie gave her.
“Prepare my bath. Make it as fragrant as possible. Take the slim red dress I’ve brought with me for me to wear. This day, you're going to make me the most beautiful again.”
“As you wish, madam.”
She followed what the madam said while thinking about what could she be planning and where could she be going.
Now, she is sure that this woman, who’s behind the real madam’s face, is somewhat in her twenties. She could be older than her by about a year or two.
If this fake madam had a legal plastic surgery, Kassie could already track her down but it seems like her changes in appearance are done privately or purposely. She only needs to find out who really this fake madam is and everything will end systematically.
Kassie attended the madam to the bath and helped her clean her body. While doing this stuff, she could say that her body is naturally young so her face is the one that changed.
“I still could not believe that my madam had skin like this. It is so tender and soft.”
“Well~ this is normal to a Des Fluers. They are overflowing with fortune and luxury. This family is the ideal family that deserves to be looked upon,” the madam chuckled.
Now, Kassandra has a clue that this fake madam might have messed up this family because she wanted to be part of it. Kassandra knows how Des Fluers.
“I’ve brought the letter, madam.” Kassie handed to the madam a letter she took from the mailbox.
“Oh, I didn’t expect an abrupt reply. My father must have missed me so much.” The madam reacted as she excitedly took the letter.
Kassie took the scissor from a drawer and gave it to the madam.
“Your father must be a good parent, madam. Seeing how much you like to have a letter from him.” She smiled.
The madam started cutting the envelope, “Yes. He is that kind of father who will do anything to give me my happiness.”
“That is good to hear, madam. Unlike me, my father has never shown me interest except when I make money.”
“Oh? That’s a horrible father.”
“Yes, really horrible. My mother died when I was so young and he took better care of my half-sister than me. His first wife and her daughter had been bullying me until now. That is why I took this job. That is for me to just not live with them.”
“That’s quite sad. If I were you, I would have already dug those people’s graves and buried them alive.”
Kassie’s eyes went sharp while looking at that smile on the madam’s lips while delivering those words naturally like there was no issue at all. If you look at the deeper perspective, with the tone of her voice, it was like she was already used to it and that she had seen people buried alive.
She did not speak anymore and just waited for her madam who’s reading the letter now. The madam was smiling at first when she was reading the letter but then her brows furrowed while reading in the middle. Kassie could see how her hands trembled and her body became stiff as if she was reading unexpected news. So then, the madam didn’t finish reading it, crumpled the paper and threw it everywhere.
And then she started throwing a tantrum and smashed vases and messed up the whole room while screaming.
“A-Are you okay, madam? Please, calm down, madam.” Kassie grabbed the madam’s hand.
“I’m sorry for touching you madam but you need to calm down.”
The madam paused and she took the opportunity to speak again.
“Maybe you have read news that you don’t like but remember who you are, madam. You can do whatever you want now. You have everything and what’s there you might be afraid of? Your father loves you. The master loves you so much. If you get affected by such a thing, then you can just look for another way to solve it” she took the other hand of the madam and looked at her tearful eyes.
“I might not know how the letter stabbed you to be hurt like this but everything will be okay and you can make it under control. You need to think about it madam. If it troubles you, then let us find a way. You are not alone because you have us. You have me, your father, the master and the whole household.”
The madam sniffed as she buried her face into Kassie’s chest and then cried silently.
“Thank you, Kassie. Thank you for not asking me.”
Kassie began to tap her back. “It’s alright, madam. There are some things that were better buried forever.” Kassie’s voice was soft and kind but behind the madam’s back, she could not make a worried expression.
The letter must be talking about the real madam who had gone missing in that basement where they captivated her.
Now, all she needs is to take the evidence.
Kassie comforted the madam that afternoon and when evening came, while the madam called Inna in her room, she went to the library to meet the master.
“I suspect that it is the Dregion Clan. All family members were specialized in medicine and science. Among the members, the most suspicious is Jeorge Dregion. He is a prosthetist, specialized in making artificial parts of the body.
He once attended the declaration of the heir party in this mansion. and he was with his twelve year old daughter, Shawn Dregion that time. I still could remember my son telling me that a woman touched his face and asked him to kiss her.”
She stopped reading. “What the? She’s bold. I want to crush her face.”
Mr. Des Fluers laughed. “It was just an assumption that she might be that woman but have you ever thought that she wasn’t acting at her revealed and known age?”
“Yes, I suspect that she might be in her late 20s.”
“That’s it. My wife had never been obsessed with makeup and making herself beautiful. My wife is naturally the nation’s beauty without makeup. If I hadn’t been obsessed with my wife, I would never suspect that I was with a different person.”
“How did you actually find out, papa?”
“It was the look in her eyes. My wife would never lose the sparkle in her eyes while looking at me. That time, I didn’t feel any emotion in her eyes. And then she began acting different.”
Kassandra nodded her head. “You’re sharp enough to notice that, papa. Just like Jacob, who won’t sleep a wink just to make sure I could not run away again. You know, I’ve been teasing your son but he is so territorial, papa. He doesn’t want me to work here because he said that I am too beautiful to work as a maid. See that? I wanted to help him but he is the number one who’s opposing.”
“That’s natural to us, Des Fluers.” He chuckled. “I ask for consideration on his behalf.”
“No worries, papa. I can handle him with care. Trust me,” she winked, making him laugh again.
“I will dig for more information about this guy. He seems to have a lot of secrets that might help us to sue him if he is really the mastermind.”
“I could not get more information other than that, how are you going to get more?”
“I have an aid working in Adobe. She is really good at anything about digging information. She had once corrupted the Pentagon but has never been found” she beamed.
“You seem to be more trustworthy than I expected.”
“I give full trust to the one that trusts me.” She fixed the folder and stood straight.
“I am also faithful, papa. That is maybe the reason why your son is crazy over me.”
They chuckled. “You sure had a lot of confidence, benjamina.”
“This is my super-shy confidence that only comes when I am talking to you and Jacob, papa. Well, maybe because you look the same?” she laughed with the question.
This is how Kassandra naturally talks with Mr Des Fluers. They were like friends. Yes, literally friends. And Mr. Des Fluers admits that Jacob has chosen a good and suitable woman.
