“Oh my madam! Your skin is so soft and tender!” Kassie cheerfully complimented as she giggled while applying makeup to the madam’s face.
“I’m so jealous of this. I wish my skin would remain young as I grow older like you~”
Her madam scoffed, “Unlike those people who work their hands to the dirt, luxury loves me even when I wasn’t born. It had simply waited for me to create such a beautiful looking lady! This body is perfect for everything!”
“Yes, madam! You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! Your skin is even better than the actors and actresses I have seen!”
The madam laughs, “Those people are meant to be below me. They are meant to kneel in front of me~”
Kassie’s lips went sideways.
“Oh my gosh, madam. I bet Sir Des Fluers is praying all day and night to the goddess Aphrodite and goddess Hera to have been blessed with such a beautiful wife.”
“Yes! He must be, right? I am so beautiful that even goddesses would be jealous of me. You know, yesterday…” The madam showed her a rare artefact ring on her ring finger. “… my husband gifted the late Queen. Elizabeth I diamond ring that had been the most expensive item in the auction. I am so happy that my husband won it for me~” she wiggles.
“Oh my madam! I am so jealous! It is just as if sir loves you just like a queen! I am so happy for you madam! You deserve that ring!”
After taking so much time complimenting the madam, she had finally left the room while assisting her to the garden and then to the mall and helped her purchase every cosmetics she recommended to her.
It was confusing because the madam is not acting at her age. It feels like they were just around the same age unless the madam really bloomed late or spoiled. She knows that this woman she accompanied is not the real madam of the house and this is also the reason why she took this opportunity without informing Jacob.
She wanted to know who this woman was that hid all traces of her being fake. She wanted to investigate herself and help Jacob solve this problem.

She beamed and greeted the madam before leaving the room.
She was confused to see that the master of the house seems like he is not sleeping in the madam’s room. That is why there is a big possibility that he knows about the situation of the family.

She was back at the maid’s quarters and directly dropped her body on the chair she thought was comfortable, sighing in relief because she was tired.
“So how’s your work?”
She turned her gaze to Inna who is now wiping the plates with clean cloth. Other maids are also looking at her like they are waiting for her to reply.
“To be honest, it was tiring.”
Inna, the first one to become her friend, laughs. She is beautiful and has smooth skin but Kassie still doesn’t know why Inna decided to become a maid rather than working to get other jobs.

“It’s true. Young master Jacob left the house because she killed his fiancée. And now, Young Master Jaco is starting to rebel too” One maid approved.
“Whose fool doesn’t want to rebel with that kind of mother? She killed Young Master Jacob’s fiancée and now she harmed Young master Jaco’s wife. I wonder if young master Jaco’s wife is okay.” One more maid shared.
“Why? What happened?”
“I saw the madam and that bitch Amanda bullied young master Jaco’s wife. That innocent wife was crying while running out the mansion-
“Oh my God! Oh my God! That cute girl was young master Jaco’s wife? Oh my God! I saw her running out the mansion and she collapsed for a second in the gate! She was holding her tummy and screamed in pain! Oh my God, do you know what I’m thinking? I think she had a miscarriage!”
“OMG. Are you sure?!”
“That was definitely miscarriage.”
“Oh my God. They are so pitiful. I hope young master Jaco and his wife are okay.”
Kassandra was just listening to them as her expression changes to every sentence they spoke especially after hearing about the miscarriage thing. And for a split second, she saw a glimpse of sadness and fear in Inna’s eyes.
She felt something there. That there is something going on that she must know.
So then, they had to stop babbling when they heard a knock on the door and the door in the maids’ quarters opened.
A man in his late 20s went in.
“Inna. You are called to the madam’s room.”
Kassandra got shocked from what she heard as she watched Inna stand up.
Inna smiled at her before she followed the man, leaving her dumb founded because she could feel that there is something with her smile like she is asking for help.
She started speculating.
This feels like there is something more that she needs to investigate.
