Chapter 21 Wedding

It was Romania’s wedding and different wealthy people were present that time. With their expensive suits and gowns, the wedding venue was like a paradise of nobility. So then, Kassandra and Jacob come into the venue wearing a paired suit and gown clearly emphasizing their relationship. With their matching rings and matching outfit, all eyes were on them, making some of those people come to ask about them.
“What a lovely outfit for a couple, can I ask who these lovely people are?”
Kassandra only showed a fake smile as her façade because the one that is asking her is her very own grandmother to the side of her father.
“Hi, grandma. I am Kassandra Rivera. And this is my boyfriend, Jacob Des Fluers.”
After introducing herself, she showed a flat face while still looking at her shocked grandmother before passing her.
She looked for a spot to sit with Jacob and waited for the wedding to start. So then, her eyes met with Harlon’s.
She smiled at him before looking at Jacob.
“That was my grandmother by the way.” She introduced Jacob like nothing had happened. She then looked for her phone to take pictures of them.
“Are you going to post this?” Jacob asked.
“Yeah, so smile for me.”
They both smiled at the camera and then she checked the photo and laughed.
“You look handsome as always, Jacob. I wonder how many girls feast with you in their dreams.” She chuckled.
They are now looking at her phone and to her Instagram.
“Look, since I started posting your face, they have been asking me for your account.”
“But I don’t use social media.”
“That’s better so that they can’t also bug you or try to seduce you. You know, there are many women who want you in your company and if you have social media, it will be tripled. That is not good anymore.”
Here they are again, talking to each other like no other people in the world.
“Let me see your photos.” Jacob took her phone to stalk her Instagram account and she just watched him.
He directly scrolled down to look at her old photos.
“Damn, my cheri is really beautiful.”
She chuckled. “Don’t make it sound like that. It’s cringe.”
“But it’s true. You must have really liked yellow green since before.”
“Yeah? I don’t know. I really like it.”
“What the hell is this?” Jacob directly showed her the photo he just clicked. That was one time, as summer vacation in Maldives. She was wearing a really- sexy red lingerie.
“I was wearing a bikini.” She answered.
“I mean, you should not post something like this.”
“Why? I like the photo and I look sexy.”
Jacob stared at her. It was a blank stare that said something but Kassandra just looked back confused.
“Do you still have a copy of this photo in your phone’s gallery?”
“Yes?”
“Can I delete this then?”
“Why?”
He stared at him again. “I’m jealous.”
“Jealous to whom? The photographer? Don’t worry it was a woman-
“No. That’s not it. I am jealous of whoever laid eyes on this photo. Imagine this, cheri. I will make an Instagram account and then I will post a photo of me with only boxers, would you like that?”
“No. How dare.”
“That’s it. That is what I mean, cheri.”
Kassandra replied with a blank stare trying to read everything they had talked and realized that she was actually slow.
“Oh, okay. You can delete anything you want there.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“No hard feelings?”
“Yes.”
Jacob smiled and pinched her nose before looking back at her phone in his hands. So then, that was the only chance for her to look at her surroundings and the ceremony was starting.
Jacob was just silently watching the wedding and mixed into the event but half of the event, all he did was look at Kassandra’s phone. He would only stop when Kassandra talks to him. As for Kassandra, she watched the whole wedding. She has also listened to what the priest stated and the couple’s promises. Until then, the main event ends and Harlorn’s eyes meet hers. She saw how the smile on his lips faded once he saw her.
She just showed him a shrug and looked over Jacob who’s now looking at her. It was the time for taking pictures and she was dragged by her father to take a picture with them as well as Jacob. So then, she stood beside Jacob but on her left side was the groom. She was so focused on the camera that for one last shot, she felt Harlorn’s hand holding her left hand. It shocked her a bit but she directly moved away her hand and took Jacob away since the photo shoot was done.
“Let’s head home.” She directly insisted because she doesn’t want to make a scandal on her sister’s wedding day.
Without making Jacob respond, she already took him away before the reception started.
“Are you okay?”
There Jacob got the chance to ask her when they’re in the car.
She looked at Jacob’s face first, to decide whether to tell him or not.
She let out a heavy sigh before speaking. “Harlorn held my hand.”
His brows instantly furrowed. “What?”
“It was on the last shot. He took my hand, that's why I shoved it away and went out.”
She saw the darkening of his gaze and the clenching of his fist.
“That guy…” He clenched his teeth and the veins on his chin came out the light.
“It’s okay. I will not let him be near me again. I also banned him in the hotel so he won’t come to me again.”
“What if he stalks you?”
“He can’t. We have 2-32.”
Jacob reached for her as he held her in his arms.
“I’ll do anything to protect you and that guy.” He brushed her hair and kissed her head as she nodded.
“Let’s head home.”
Kassandra was back to normal again when they went back to the hotel. When they arrived at their room, they took some pictures for fun. Sometimes they would take a video until then they decided to take off their clothes to change and Jacob had to help her take off her makeup.
“This is hard.” Jacob commented while carefully removing her fake eyelashes.
Kassandra chuckled. “Sucks to be a woman?”
“I can’t understand. You are still beautiful without makeup on. Do you really need to put this on? Doesn’t it hurt? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. I’m used to it.”
Jacob blows her eyelashes while removing the other one.
Kassandra laughed.
“F*ck?” Jacob got terrified after seeing a single falling eyelash. His whole world crashed into pieces and he is sweating.
“I got some of your real eyelashes. Is it okay? I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”
Kassandra laughed out loud.
“That’s normal, Jacob.”
“R-Really?” He stuttered.
“Yes.”
She saw how he sighed in relief but still, you can see the fear in his eyes.
“Next time, please don’t put this on. Just please.”
She chuckled. “I can’t promise you since I should have one when there are events I need to attend to.”
“Yes, that’s fine. Just don’t put it on daily. Your eyelashes will fall off.”
Kassandra ended up laughing at him from time to time because he looked traumatized just by one hair from her eyelashes.
