LOVE LOOKED UP at the sky as she sat on the bench. It was almost midnight and the whole house was quiet now. For the first time, she was able to appreciate her surroundings without worries. She found her father again. They have nothing to fear about the people who would mess up their lives and their relationship as father and daughter was better now.
She could smile easily now that she was able to get almost everything she could ask in life. All of these seemed impossible, but it did happen.
She held out both hands. She would tire herself watching the stars tonight.
"It's late. Why are you here alone?”
Her hands froze in the air. She didn't know whether to turn to him or lower her hands. “Uh…” She slowly put down her hands. "Eron, I…"
He sat beside her. “Yeah! I know you can memorize a place as long as no one changes the place. And I'm not worried. You are not at the pool floating alone.”
"That won't happen again."
"What are you doing here anyway?" he asked.
“The stars…” She stopped in mid-sentence. She could not say she was watching the stars. "A-are there any stars tonight?"
“A lot. I will draw it for you so you’ll see it as well.”
Her forehead furrowed. "How's that?"
He took one of her hands and pointed upwards. He made a few dots with her finger. "This is the Orion constellation." Then he drew a line to connect the stars. "They are visible tonight."
“Constellation? I didn't know them even when I could still see them. I just know they are stars.”
"I have loved stargazing since I was a kid," he suddenly said and turned to her. “I mean… I want to watch the stars on the roof of our house. Do you remember?” He laughed. “Then I asked the captain of the yacht who likes astrology to teach me about the stars. He is the modern-day ship captain who still believes in the stars for getting the right direction. I hope you can see the stars now.”
She closed her eyes. "When you pointed it out for me, I seemed to have imagined it too." 
He moved her hand to make a shape of a star with her finger. “This is the star which I always make a wish to. The brightest star of them all. You can make a wish now. ”
“I don't have anything to wish for. I already got everything I wanted. Thank you. If you didn’t come into our lives, I don’t know where we would be now.”
She didn’t ask for someone like him to come into her life. Maybe heaven sent him to her to ease her sufferings. He was a beautiful gift to her.
"That's not enough. You helped me fulfill my dream but I hurt you. You deserve all these and more.”
She closed her eyes tightly and shook her head. “Let's not talk about the past. You’re different Mitos for me. You're Eron now. You have changed. So better forget that you have something that you needed to pay back to me. Because you don't really owe me anything.”
She didn't want him to think about Mitos anymore. She never considered him Mitos not even once. Whatever he had done for her, he had done it as Cameron. And she wanted him to know that he didn’t have to burden himself with Mitos. He didn’t have to torture himself for her.
He took her hand and pressed her palm to his cheek. “Your father told me that you wanted to go to Guimaras with him. Don’t go, Love. Not yet. Stay here. I'll take care of you."
"No. I’ve been bothering too much already. You have your own life to live.”
“But my dream is here. I will be sad when you leave.”
She held her breath. Here he was in front of her. The man of her dreams. But she knew that the time was near when he would have to put an end to his pretense. She didn’t want to be a burden to him forever.
She lowered her head. "Me too." She still wanted to stay with him a little longer. “But my father needs me. And you have your own life to live. You don't have to stick with me. You wanted to make it up to me, and you have already done that. In fact, you’ve done more than enough. Also, we’re friends now, aren’t we?”
Friendship was the only thing he could offer her. The same thing she could offer him. She couldn’t let herself fall for him completely. Whatever she feels for him, she would just keep it to herself. She didn't want to bother Eron anymore. She didn’t want him to be responsible to her because he had no obligation to her. 
She didn’t know why he was doing all these for Mitos. But she wanted to make his life easier even if it was difficult for her because she had gotten used to having him by her side. 
When she walked out of his life, he would be thankful because he no longer has to think about anything else again but himself. 
He hugged her. “Okay. Then let me take care of you. Until you can finally follow your father to Guimaras.
And I will make sure that you will enjoy all the days you spend with me. From now on, you will have nothing to worry about. Okay?”
