“STOP! THAT’S ENOUGH!" Love was stunned and stared at the people inside the club. She thought she heard a man’s voice. A mixture of anger and pleading were on that loud shout. Someone had stopped the bidding for her? Did anyone felt sorry for her and was ready to rescue and protect her from that hellish place? Impossible! No one would save her. Those in front of her were all demons. All of them were greedy for money, power, and her body. She was hopeless. In that fight she was alone and she just lost. She bowed down her head. She didn’t have any choice but to accept the painful truth. "Love! Lovellia!” She raised her head when she heard someone call her name. It was a very familiar voice amid the shouting of other men. She heard her name being called again. And it felt like she had seen an apparition when a handsome man walked towards the stage. He looked like a warrior ready to fight and defend her. Mitos’ impostor. She blinked her eyes several times. Was this really just a hallucination? Was it really like this when you’re on the verge of death? She was just seeing things. It was impossible for him to be in a place like this. But he was there in front of her in an instant. He took off his coat and wrapped it around her shoulders. He also didn’t leave in front of her, protecting her from the lustful gaze of the men on her almost naked body. "Love, are you okay?" "It was…you?" she still couldn’t believe her eyes. He hugged her. “It’s okay. I am here. I will take care of you.” She just closed her eyes and felt the heat of his warm body. She felt like she was safe at that moment. She didn’t care anymore if she just disappeared from the earth and he was the angel who came to fetch her soul. All she cared now was that she was wrapped in his embrace and that he would not leave her. If this was just a figment of her imagination, then she would rather live in this illusion forever with him. That he was an angel who would take her away from this hell. "Who are you? You are not a member of my club! How did you get in here?” Andres asked. His face was masked with anger and humiliation. “Your staff let me in. They said I just needed to pay a thousand peso,” he answered casually. Andres was humiliated even more. He gave a sign to his men. “Take that man out of my sight and throw him out of my club. Love, you just stay here.” Fear gripped her once again. No way she would be left alone in that place. She tightened her grip on Mitos's impostor. "Please don’t leave me. I don’t want to be here!” she begged. "You can't just take her away from here," Andres said firmly. "Her father owes me a huge debt." "How much?" Mitos’ impostor asked boldly. Andres laughed. "Can you pay one hundred and fifty thousand?" "Do you accept checks?" Mitos's impostor asked and pulled out a checkbook. "It's only a hundred and fifty thousand, you say?" "Two hundred thousand, interest included. You can also take her cousin Kulas," said Andres and rubbed his palms together. He already noticed now that the man in front of him was filthy rich. "I only owe one hundred and fifty plus the interest!" she protested. Andres was really a greedy bastard. He even had the nerve to charge more after what he did to her? "Two hundred thousand pesos," Mitos's impostor said formally and signed the check. "You can encash this tomorrow." Love couldn’t believe he just paid off two hundred thousand without hesitation. Mitos was never like this. He was very stingy. If this was the real Mitos, he might have asked to lower down the asking price or maybe even ask for a discount. When it comes to money, Mitos would never open her wallet that easily. While this man looked like he never had a problem with money. "That's what I want in business," Andres said with a smile. He was about to take the check when the man waved it away from Andres. “I also want a documented agreement that says you were releasing Love from all her debts. I am sending in my lawyer tomorrow. The document must be signed and notarized before you can encash the money.” “N-no problem, Boss. You will have no problems with me when it comes to money talk.” Andres took the check with a smile and sniffed it. He folded the check and inserted it into his coat. “I didn't know Love had a big-time friend like you. If that's the case, we'll get along well.” "Where is Kulas now?" Mitos's impostor asked. Andres clapped his hands. "Where is Love’s cousin?" Andres even invited them to sit down. "Would you like something to drink, Boss?" Mitos' impostor declined, while not letting go of Love from his embrace. “No! I want to get out of this place as soon as possible. I have no business here anymore. ” Kulas was brought to them finally. Andres playfully messed up Kulas’ hair. “What a waste! We haven't spent enough time together. Be kind, okay? And always pay your debt on time so we never see each other again.” “We no longer owe you anything! And that will never happen again.” The next time her father went into debt again, she didn't know what else she could do. Because she would never sell her soul just to pay someone else’s debt. “Let’s go!” said Mitos and lifted her up.
