SMILING, LOVE CLOSED her eyes as she felt the warm touch of the sun on her skin. He was excited to see the ocean. It’s been a long time since she had been at the beach. She was excited to run on the sand and chase the waves. "Can we still catch up with the sunset?" she asked Mitos who was next to Marvin who was driving the car. “It’s my favorite to watch the sunset. When Mom was sick, we were always in Manila Bay because we wanted to watch the sunset. Let’s watch it, okay?” “Ate, what sunset are you gonna watch? You can’t even see,” Kulas strongly reminded him. Her smile disappeared from her lips and she suddenly felt sad. She had forgotten that in “Mitos”’ eyes, she was blind. She was daydreaming that she would be able to watch a romantic sunset. She could only watch the sunset in silence. "We can still catch the sunset," said "Mitos". “If you want, I’ll watch it with you. I will describe to you what it looks like.” She pressed her cheek to the back of his seat. “Really? You wouldn’t mind describing it for me?” "Of course not." He tapped Marvin on his shoulder. "Please hurry so we can catch the sunset." “Yes, Boss! It will be a while before the sun sets. We’re almost at the resthouse,” Marvin said. Soon enough, they were entering a large gate. Beyond it was a very fancy villa. If only she was not pretending to be blind, her eyes would have popped out at the sight of the grand residence in front of them. “We are here,” said “Mitos”. "It's just his resthouse?" Kulas whispered in disbelief. “It looks like a mansion already. His friend is really rich.” She swallowed. This looked like the villas in Europe she saw in magazines at Bham’s house. She saw that it had a beautiful garden and a large swimming pool. Not far away was the beach and the white sand. This place was just amazing. And just like the expensive penthouse, she felt like this also belonged to this Mitos impostor. A woman in her sixties came out of the house and met them. “Oh, my goodness! My Eron! My dear child!” Love was surprised when the woman hugged "Mitos". “I miss you so much. I really thought you were just joking when you said you’re coming.” Love frowned. "Who is Eron?" she asked quietly. She saw “Mitos” awkward smile. He knew that she was asking why the old woman called him Eron when “Mitos” was what he introduced himself to them. “Yaya Rosa, I wasn’t kidding when I said I’m coming. And I really plan to have a vacation here. I also said I would be bringing a guest.” The old woman looked at them. "Are these your guests?" "Mitos" held Love by her elbow. “Love, Kulas, this is Yaya Rosa. Yaya, this is Love and her cousin Kulas. They will stay here for a vacation.” She held out a hand. “I’m pleased to meet you." The old lady lingered her eyes on Love and watched her carefully. Because she was not looking directly at Yaya Rosa. The nanny shook Love’s hand. “Is this your girlfriend? She’s beautiful and doesn't look picky.” She waved her hand in front of Love. "Can you see me, hija?" “I-I'm sorry. I can’t see anything.” I'm sorry too that I have to pretend I'm blind. She really felt guilty because the people she had to lie to were piling up. "I'm not…Eron's…girlfriend either." She couldn’t bring herself to call this man “Mitos”. She was more comfortable calling him Eron. "We're just friends." "And I'm her pretty cousin, Yaya," Kulas said and gave the old lady a peck on the cheek. "I can make you look younger, Yaya." The nanny laughed. "Looks like we'll get along." "Mitos" touched Love’s shoulder. "And I hope you take good care of Love." "Of course. That’s not gonna be a problem. Take them to their room first while I will prepare dinner for you. I hope you are not picky about food. I don't like picky eaters here. I don't want my dishes to go to waste.” “You don’t have to worry, Yaya Rosa. You’ll never have a problem with food with me.” “That’s good to know.” “Thank you so much.” “Okay. Take a rest now. I’ll call you when the table is ready.” The room that “Mitos” brought her to was simple but beautiful. The view of the swimming pool could be seen from there. There's an air conditioning unit but she preferred the fresh air from the sea. “My room is just next door. If you need anything, just call me. Okay?” “Thank you! Is the sun going down now?” "It's about to," he said and took her hand. "Kulas, are you coming?" he asked Kulas who was already lying on the couch. "No. I don’t want to be a bother to you, two,” he said with a smile. She would get Kulas later for this. He should not leave her alone. What if she got carried away by “Mitos”’ gorgeousness? What if forgot again that she was supposed to be blind?
