Celine agrees to go to the future when time travel is already legal. But Drake has to time travel on his own first. He doesn't want to drag her to every timeline he's about to visit. It might have a bad effect on their unborn child.
Instead, he just makes sure to bring her somewhere safe. He created a place where time stood still. That means that their baby will not be born all of a sudden. The problem is, it's a small place to stay forever.
He doesn't have some to create an entire world. Although he thought that this idea was pointless, he was able to find a use for it. The place looks like a replica of his laboratory in the future. He's planning to bring the future Celine to this place after saving her.
But time plays with them by bringing them together from different timelines. He has to admit, he's more concerned with the past Celine. Her future is not a good one and maybe if he can just avoid her growing old, she will be safe. But their situation is different now.
During his time travels, they never had a child. But when he met her in the past, she was able to conceive. He can't believe that her baby bump is bigger now. But at least now, their unborn child should stop growing too fast.
"I like it here! It looks just like your lab." Celine told him when they arrived.
"I created it to look like the lab from the future. But whatever we do here, there won't be tomorrow." Drake explained to her.
"Is this a time loop?" She asks.
"No, it's different from a time loop. You can still do different things from here. But time doesn't move. You will still have a perception of time here. In a time loop, everything just repeats itself." Drake explains.
"Whoa, I can't believe you were able to do all these!" She replied as she walked around their new place.
"It's not that hard. I just have to make the right computations and here's the result." He replied.
For a genius scientist, this is easy. But for an ordinary person like her, it's unbelievable. Although she has to get used to it since she will be married to Drake in the future. Even if they didn't have a ceremony from the past, she still considered him to be her husband.
"Why do I need to stay here again?" Celine asks him.
"Well, our baby is growing too fast when you're in the past. Plus, we're not sure if there are agents from the TTA there. I can't leave you if I'm not sure of your safety." Drake explained.
She can't agree more with his decisions. He's right, the baby might end up getting out too fast. She doesn't trust Derek with her child since he must still be a time traveler. That's why he handles special cases. Celine hugs Drake to seek comfort from his embrace.
"Hey, you don't have to worry! You and our baby are safe around here." He told him.
"I know, I'm worried about you! What if you got lost in time?" She vocalizes her worries.
"I will not get lost in time, baby! Just wait for me and I will be back before you know I'm gone." He kisses her forehead to make her feel better.
Honestly, nobody knows what's waiting for them from a different timeline. Even him, he's always excited to see what has changed or not. But now, he has to deal with a more important journey of his life. The life of the future child is at stake now and he has to deal with it.
They can't let anyone take it away from them. Before, he's only fighting for Celine's future. But now, he's fighting for his own family. He can't let anything bad happen to them. Even if it means that they have to keep on jumping through time.
He just hopes that he can find the right timeline for them to stick around.
"Alright, that's enough! I have to go now. You can find anything you need around here. Just don't forget to always have the device with you!" Drake informs her.
"Why do I need to do that if I'm already safe here?" She asks.
"Everything is uncertain, you know that! You always have to be careful. That's in case something went wrong. Just listen to me, baby!" He explained to her.
"Okay, I will keep the device close to me at all times. I'm going to miss you!" She giggled from his insistence.
"I will miss you too, baby! But I'm doing this for our child. I love you so much!" He said goodbye to her.
"I love you more, baby! Hurry home, okay?" She replied and hugged him one last time.
Drake steps into the time portal and he is gone. Celine was left alone once again. But at least she knows that she is safe around here. If the time doesn't move here, that means that she will not age as well. Her baby will not grow as fast compared to when they are in the past.
But she wants to know what's inside these walls. Although Drake already told her that there is nothingness. He was only able to create this place. She's curious but then she thinks about food. Even if she doesn't feel hungry, she wants to eat.
She decided to check out the kitchen to prepare something. Although she's not supposed to feel hungry around here, Drake still prepares everything for her. She found different foods inside the huge fridge. But she just decided to have a sandwich.
That's when she noticed the window from the sink. It looks like there is something out there. She decided to get closer to the window to see the view up close. But that only made her disappointed. The view she's seeing is just a screen showing the scenery. It's all fake!
