Drake realized that he is the gunman who shot Derek Simons. But before he can do it, the future Derek shows up. He was able to save himself from the shootout. Everyone doesn't have a clue that it happened. He was able to pull his past from the present time.
Derek suddenly disappeared because he pulled himself out of that timeline. That means that his present self had vanished because they see each other. Drake can't believe that this is what happened. He immediately escapes from the scene to make sure that he won't be seen.
No matter how he tries to change his past, it seems that he can't do it. But Derek was able to do it and he must find a way to do the same. He uses his device to go to when he left Celine. But he has to be careful or he might end up having the same fate according to the future.
Now he's more worried about Celine who is currently in the timeless lab. What if Derek was able to get to her while she's on her own? Just like her future self told him. He can't let that happen now that Derek escaped from his demise. He should not even be alive now.
The more Drake travels back and forth through time, the more things get complicated. But if he doesn't do it, he will lose Celine forever. He can't let that happen especially now that he was able to meet her future. It's not going to be possible if he didn't time travel.
It's time for him to go back to the pregnant Celine. He has to be there for her no matter what. They should never be caught by the TTA if they want to be together. But the Celine in that timeless lab is the one from the past. How can he make sure that she will not vanish anytime soon?
Drake presses the button of his device to go to the timeless lab. He needs to talk to her so they can plan out their escape from the TTA. If she has to give birth already, then be it. He needs to get her away from that replica of his lab. Even if he didnt know how Derek could even go there.

Derek was able to safely travel to the future. He can't believe that he didn't know it before. The reason he died in the past was because of Dr. Cole. He attempted to shoot his past from the hospital. That's why he was able to have Celine because Drake killed him before.
He feels furious about what he found out. It was not an easy feat to dave himself. Good thing he was able to make sure his future self will survive their meeting. That's why everyone thought that he died from the shootout. But they can't find his body on the scene.
It's very frustrating to deal with Dr. Cole now. He seems to be very determined to save Celine. But he doesn't even want the one on his timeline. He's more into the one in the future that's why he faked their union. If he can't have her, no one should have her anymore.
"Where's the general?" Derek asks one of the agents of TTA.
"He's not to be disturbed!" The agent replied.
"I almost died again from my past. I need to talk to him now!" Derek demanded.
"Dr. Simmons!"
They both turn in the direction of the voice. It's the general and they didn't expect that he would be out of his office.
"Let's talk to my office, Dr. Simmons!" The general instructed.
"Yes, sir!" Derek replied and followed him.
"What happened, why are you here now?" The general asks.
"Dr. Cole almost shot me from my past. I can't believe that he was the one who tried to kill me before!" Derek exclaimed.
The general didn't say anything but looked as if he's thinking deeply. Now that Derek knows about his past, maybe it's about time he finds out who he is. That way, they can work better together and have their revenge.
"He will keep on trying to kill you. He might find out something while he's time traveling." The general finally shares his thoughts with him.
"What do you mean, sir? Do you know Dr. Cole personally?" Derek asked.
"I guess it's time for you to know the true reason why our agency is after Dr. Cole and his wife." The general replied.
"Isn't it because he's breaking the law of the time travel ban?" Darek asked because that's all he knows why they're doing this.
"Yes, that's one reason why. But do you even know what my name is?" The general asks him.
"Honestly, I didn't know because the order is to just address you as the general," Derek said while thinking where this is going.
"My name is David Simmons and I'm your son in the future." The general started with his confession.
Derek was shocked to hear it coming from the general. But David is not done yet and informs him about the past. His mother Susie was left behind because Derek is doing time travel. He didn't even see him when he was born. It's all because of Dr. Drake Cole.
He banned everyone from doing time travel the moment he was able to do it himself. David also informed him about Cedrick, the son of Dr. Cole and Celine. He will not allow that child to be born because, in the future, he will lead the world. That will leave David on the sidelines.
"I'm sorry, David! My obsession made you this way." Derek suddenly felt guilty.
"That's okay, dad! Now that you know who I am, we can finally get our revenge." The general concluded.
Derek needs some time to digest everything that the general told him. But they have the same goal. That is to have their revenge on Drake and Celine including their son Cedrick. They can terminate their family to cease to exist from any timeline.
