Celine can't believe that her child might have special abilities. All she wanted was for her baby to have a normal life. But if Drake's hypothesis is true, she has to be ready for it. What if the TTA suddenly shows up? She doesn't know what she would do.
Now that Drake is with her, they still need to be careful. They don't know who might be an agent who is planning bad things about them. Even though their baby was conceived in the future, there is no guarantee that it will be normal or have any abilities.
"Celine, it's only your third month of pregnancy but your baby is growing too fast." The doctor informed her.
"What do you mean?" She asks and hopes that it's not bad.
"Every pregnancy is unique and even weird. Your baby seems to grow up faster than normal. We need to closely observe it." The doctor informed her.
"Is there any problem with that?" She asks nervously.
"Well, you might end up giving birth in a month or two. That's if your baby went on full-term earlier than expected." The doctor told her.
"But will my baby survive if I give birth before nine months? She's more afraid for her child than herself.
"We're not sure yet. But I can recommend a doctor who handles cases like yours." The doctor said and looked at her address book.
How can anyone have the same case as her? Unless those women are also time travelers. But she can't just blurt it out with her doctor. She might think that she is crazy and ended up in an insane asylum. That will complicate things more than it currently is.
"Here, you can contact Dr. Simmons and tell him I referred you to him." The female doctor gave her the business card.
Celine almost fell from the chair when she heard the name of the doctor. She takes the business card to check. The name on the card is Dr. Derek Simmons. It's the same Derek she knows and also happens to be her ex. How did Derek suddenly become an ob-gyn?
"Doctor, isn't Dr. Simmons an emergency doctor?" She can't help but ask.
"So, you know Dr. Simmons! Well, according to him, he suddenly thought that he should become an ob-gyn. He studied again and from being an emergency doctor, he now handles special pregnancy cases." The doctor explains to her what she knows.
"Yes, I know him. But is there another doctor you can recommend? We're not on good terms." She smiled shyly.
"I'm afraid he's the only one. I don't want to make a mistake with your pregnancy. I mean, it's the life of your child." The doctor told her.
"That's fine, doctor! I guess it's time for us to reconcile. Thanks for your recommendation." She just told her to make her feel better.
After a few more chitchats, Celine said goodbye to the doctor. She needs to see Drake as soon as she can. If Derek is the only one who can save her child, her husband should know about it first. He knows what to do in this situation especially if it's about her ex.
She immediately takes the elevator going down. The clinic is in the same building where the pharmacy is located. Drake has to continue living his life around here now. That's why we need to go to work as a pharmacist. Although he wanted to accompany her for her checkup.
When she arrived at the pharmacy, there were two customers. She decided to sit on the couch and wait for Drake to finish giving them their prescriptions. It's great to see him adjusting to his new profession. But he is still the genius scientist she knew and loved.
"Hey, you're done already?" Drake asks her after the customers left.
"Yeah, but we seem to have a problem." She informed him about what the doctor said.
Drake sits beside her and thinks about the doctor's suggestion. If Dr. Simmons is handling special cases of pregnancies, it means that he is still a time traveler. They can't risk being caught by him, especially since he's affiliated with the TTA.
"What do you think we should do?" Celine asks him with a worried expression.
"We can't let Derek know about your condition. If he's still with TTA, he might do something bad to our baby." Drake replied.
"But if the baby keeps on growing too fast, I need to give birth prematurely. Something bad might happen to our baby!" She told him.
"If he's still a time travel agent, we will all be in danger! Maybe we don't have a choice but to travel in time again." He suggested.
Celine wanted to protest with the idea of time travel. She already promised herself not to do that again. But she has to admit that they don't have a lot of choices. It's either to let Derek know about her pregnancy or time travel again.
Drake was right, they can't put themselves at risk. If Derek is still with the TTA, he might terminate her pregnancy. She can't let that happen. It doesn't matter if her baby has special abilities or not. She just wants to give it a chance to see the world and live.
"Okay, I guess we have to time travel again!" She finally decided.
"Don't worry, Celine! We will make it happen and save our child." Drake embraces her.
That made her feel more at ease about the plan. It doesn't matter what timeline they end up in. As long as they are together, she will be fine. All she has to do is to trust him and hope that traveling in time will be their best bet.
"When should we go?" Celine asks.
"Maybe we should choose the future when time travel is legal once again," Drake replied.
"That's a good idea! At least we don't have to run anymore if we go at that time." She agrees but still feels nervous about it.
