Celine can't believe how mature Cedrick acted in front of his dad. She was right about him all along. Her son will be the future leader of the new world. That's why he thinks and reacts differently compared with other kids his age. She will be very proud when that day comes.
But he is still a kid who needs his father. He may appear as if he was not bothered by meeting his father all of a sudden. She knows that something has changed for him. Cedrick no longer feels insecure ever since he met his dad. At least now, he no longer feels empty.
Although he's from the past, he's still Cedrick's father and he's happy to meet him. He takes care of her even if she should be the one doing that. Celine doesn't have to tell Drake that their son is also a genius like him. They understood each other right away.
Now that Drake is gone, she has to wait and see what will happen. He will go back from the place where the time stands still. It's his invention and made it to be their haven. But they both didn't know that something bad would happen from there.
Celine remembered it as if it was just yesterday. She tried to look outside the window when Drake had already left. It's hard to still have a sense of time from that place. Her husband seems to forget to have a program for day and night. She didn't even know how long she stayed there.
All she knows is that Derek was able to find her there. She found out that he is still with the TTA. Derek held her hostage in her own place. She tried to make sure that she would stay there for as long as she could. Her unborn child can't be born until her husband arrives.
But after some time had passed, Derek grew impatient. He wanted her pregnancy to be terminated soon. That's why he brought her to the hospital of the agency. The general ordered his staff to abort my child. But they didn't know that the moment she gets out of the lab, she has to give birth already without delay.
That saved Cedrick from getting terminated and a nurse helped them out. Celine seems to recover quickly from the delivery. They escaped before the general and the agents were able to get to them. But Derek was able to get Drake's whereabouts. He was able to trace it from the lab where the time stands still.
"Mom, I have to go now. See you before sunset!" Cedrick bid her goodbye.
"Alright, be careful and avoid the agents from TTA when you see one." She reminded him.
Cedrick nodded and left the not-so-pleasant home they live in. She can't help but feel sorry for her son. He has to grow up under the bridge so that they can't get detected. Their city is a wasteland now and it's not what it used to be. Going under is the best solution for everyone.
If Drake will be able to change the past, they can look forward to a better future. She trusts her husband and she knows that he can make it happen. His future self may be sent to the further future but his past can still travel in time. There's still hope for them to live normally.
Different timeline…
Drake was able to go back to the past but not where the time stands still. He can't show up there without changing the past. He has to stop Derek from being a time traveler. That way, he will never be able to sabotage his plans to save his wife. The time should go back to the way it used to be.
He can't help but smile when he thinks about his son and wife. They both survived from what the general was planning for them. Derek should not have any reasons to take his revenge on them. That's why he went back to the time when he was Celine's fiance.
It will be tough to see them together and sweet with each other. But it's the perfect time for him to execute his plans. He knows that it's not an ideal solution but he might need to kill Derek instead. That way, he will be gone before he even gets recruited by the TTA as their agent.
He has to do what he needs to do and he's willing to pay for it just to save his family. Even if he may no longer be with them. As long as they have a better future than what he witnessed. He's now willing to kill or die in the process of saving Celine and Cedrick.
Having the opportunity to meet his child feels great already. Celine will also be alive in the future just what he wanted. She can take care of their child on her own. But he needs to make a sacrifice for them to have a better future. Living under the bridge like rats is not good.
Drake went inside the emergency room of the hospital where Dr. Derek Simmons works. He looks at the people around him. Some of them may get hurt but what he is about to do will save the future. It's not just for his family but other families in the future.
The moment he sees Derek walk into the emergency room, he takes out his gun and starts shooting him. He has to die if he wants his family to live a peaceful life. When Derek falls to the ground, he immediately presses the button of his time travel device.
He has to make his escape and going to a different timeline is the best way to do it. When he finally arrived on his timeline, he suddenly realized something. He is the one who started the shoot-out from the hospital which means he killed Derek before he get married to Celine.
