For the nth time, Drake has to say goodbye to her dear wife. Although it was her past, she suddenly vanished out of thin air. She died the original way she did the first time. But the only difference is, the reason is different. She gives her life to save their son, Cedrick. He's supposed to be the one doing that. As the head of their family, he should have run for their son and protected him. If he was only able to react that quickly like Celine, she would still be alive right now. He brought Cedrick back to the lab which is also their home. Celine vanished the moment that the people were no longer around. That saved them from having to explain what just happened. She was only a memory but she's also real at the same time. She was even able to give birth to their son. That means that she was real and alive during those moments. How can she let go of her if he can't forgive himself? Whenever she dies, it's always his fault. Even this time, it's still because of him. "It's nobody's fault, dad!" Cedrick seems to read his mind. "Well, I guess it's still my fault, son. I should have protected both of you." He replied to him. "You're a genius, how can you think that an accident is someone's fault? Isn't that why it was called an accident?" Cedrick asks curiously. Drake looked up to his son and realized that he was right. It was an accident and whatever he does, he can't do anything about it anymore. Accidents happen because of fate. If it's bound to occur, nobody can do anything to stop it. After many time travels in an attempt to save his wife, it's the first time that somebody talks some sense to him. He needs to forgive himself so that he can move on. It's time for him to let go and that's what Celine wanted. "Come here, you boy genius!" Drake spread his arm and put it around his shoulder. "Dad, it's not like mom is really gone. She told me that it was just her past. I think it's time to go to the hospital." Cedrick suggested that made him curious. "What do you mean? Did your mom tell you something I don't know?" He asks. "I think you already know the answer to that. Mom told me to go to the hospital nearby once she vanished. It's time to go!" Cedrick explained and pulled his dad. As much as Drake wanted to ask him to elaborate further, he doesn't want him to think he's stupid. He decided to just do what he suggested. They immediately go to the St. Mary's Hospital nearby. It's the same hospital where he got arrested before. Drake suddenly felt nervous since it also happened to be where Celine's future stays. He remembered that she was in a coma before. That's when Derek was still around. He started to remember everything that had happened here before. "Dr. Cole! I was just about to call you." The nurse in the reception looks surprised to see him. "Huh, what do you mean?" He sounds stupid but he didn't mind. "Your wife has already woken up from the coma! She's waiting in her room for both of you." The nurse informed them enthusiastically. Drake suddenly felt his knees become weak. If not for Cedrick, he might have fallen. When he feels a little better, they immediately walk towards the private room. He knows where it's located since he was able to visit her here once. The moment they both enter the room, they see the older version of Celine on the hospital bed. She smiled wide for them and Cedrick immediately ran to hug her. Drake's feet seemed to forget how to step and he ended up standing still nearby. "Cedrick, did you tell your father about me after my past vanished?" Celine asks. "Sorry, mom! I was so shocked by what happened so I forgot to tell him right away." Cedrick told her. "What? How?" Drake can't seem to even ask the right question but is finally able to walk closer to her. "My past seems to find out how to save me. She went here the moment you arrived on this timeline." She informed him. Drake can't believe that he's looking at Celine right now. Although she looks a bit older, it's still here. He also looked older when he was still with her past self anyway. Now that he's looking at the present Celine, he still feels amazed. "Dad, it doesn't matter what the past mom did to save her. At least now, we're all together again!" Cedrick butts in. "You cried your eyes out when she vanished. Were you just acting before?" Drake chuckles. "Well, I can't help but to feel sad. Mom's past is the one who takes care of me. No offense, real mom!" Cedrick replied. "None taken! It's still me who takes care of you but my younger version anyway. How did you even understand everything about time travel right away?" She asks. "Well, I'm the son of two geniuses. What do you expect?" Cedrick boasted. They all laughed at him and the hospital room was filled with happiness. Drake is holding Celine's hand scared to even let her go. She just lets him get over the shock from when her past vanishes. Now that they are all on their right timeline, they can finally be happy together. Cedrick may look like a child today, but soon he will be the world leader. Although they are not planning to make it happen right away. All they want to do now is to spend every moment together as a family. It's when there's no need to time travel anymore just to be happy. ~The End~

Dr. Drake Cole stared at the picture on the wall. It was an MRI, a picture of a brain. Not just any brain. Sarah’s brain. Sarah, his wife.
The picture was black and white, showing all the folds and curves of her brain. It looked complicated, like a map. But Drake knew what to look for. He was a brain surgeon, after all. He knew brains inside and out.
And there it was. A dark spot, a shadow. A tumor. Cancer.
