"Cedrick, how did you do that?" She asks in a worried tone.
"I bend time so that it will look like I just disappear and appear here," Cedrick explains it like it was nothing.
"It looks like there is another genius in this family!" Drake commented.
"Great! Now, I'm the nongenius member again." She joked around.
"I disagree! Are you even aware that the agents tried to take you from the timeless lab? You escaped them by just following your instinct. That's a true genius for me!" Drake informed her.
Celine smiled sweetly at Drake. She can't believe that their family is complete again. Although his past is no longer in this timeline, they are still together. She wonders what's going to happen to her now. Will she meet her doom soon?
Cedrick seems to have a special ability. Now that he's bigger, it's already showing up. Drake is not surprised about it anymore. Although it may be a problem if he travels through time. How can they know when he will go without a device?
"Now that Derek will no longer be a problem, maybe the TTA doesn't exist anymore. We can go back and forth through time without any problems." Drake informed her.
"That's great news! I'm worried about Cedrick. He grows up very fast on this timeline." Celine replied.
"Well, I think it's better to wait until he already looks like a teen. At least he can know how to use his abilities by then." Drake suggested.
"Is there any problem why we can't go back to your timeline?" She asks.
"Not really. I'm just not sure about what's waiting for us on my timeline. I don't want to risk it just yet." He forced a smile.
Celine knows what he's thinking about. He's worried about her future and he doesn't want to lose her. Drake will never stop until he's sure that she won't end up dead in the future. But how about her future in a coma, will she even be able to wake up?
Drake is right, they can't risk going to the future for now. They should enjoy the moment that they are together. Although they are married in the future, they still treat each other as a couple. With Cedrick, they are now one family.
The year 3021…
Derek steps out from the time machine and he can see that he is not in a ghost town. He's already in a wasteland since there is no one around anymore. How can he end up on this timeline?
He can't even do anything about the buttons. It seems like the time machine has been tampered with. He's very sure that it was Dr. Drake Cole. Although he was able to kill him, he sent him here.
It will be easy if he can just enter another date to go. But it looks like Drake was able to lock that feature. They should have made some changes to the keypads. It's a copy of his time machine, of course, he knows how to mess it up.
A bright light caught his eyes and he recognized what it was. This timeline is the end of the world. The meteors strike everywhere that make this place a wasteland. He has to accept the fact that Celine now belongs to Dr. Cole.
He can't do anything about it anymore so he just closed his eyes. Just before the meteor strikes, all his memories of Celine flash before his eyes. They had great memories together but he died. Just like what's about to happen to him now.
The year 2025…
Everything looks different on this timeline. But they can't seem to change the date on the time travel devices. Cedrick has been growing too fast since the year 2000. That's why they need to go to the future right away. It's closer to when he was conceived so it's not so bad.
"The time travel devices seem to just stop working now. I guess we will be stuck here for now." Drake informed her.
"That's fine! Cedrick seems to be alright this time. We can stay here for good." Celine replied as they watched their son riding a bike in the park.
Cedrick seems to just know how to ride a bike and go for it. He's gifted and it's not surprising that he can do many things. Although he looks like ten years old now. It seems that going to the future made his age return to normal.
"Yeah, it's not like we will be needing that device anymore. We're safe here already," Drake said and kissed her forehead.
"Well, you can always create a new one. You're a doctor genius after all!" She giggled at her idea.
They both laugh at each other when Celine suddenly looks in Cedrick's direction. Her son looks like he knows how to ride a bike. She's still smiling when she notices that there is a huge truck approaching fast. It looks like it's out of control and it's almost near Cedrick.
"Oh my God, Cedrick!" She screamed.
Before Drake can stop her, Celine suddenly stands up and runs. All she can think about is to save their son. Everything happens in a blur. The next thing she knows is that she's already laying on the ground and sees a lot of people.
"Celine, oh my goodness! Why did you do that honey?" Drake rushed towards her.
"Is Cedrick alright? Was I able to save our boy?" That's all she could think of.
"Mom!" Cedrick cried the moment he was able to recover from the shock.
"It's alright, baby! You're okay. Now, help me up." She told him.
Both Drake and Cedrick seem to not hear her. She noticed that they are both crying right now. That's why she decided to stand up on her own. But she can't feel her body and that's when she realized that she is a goner. The accident still happens even after traveling back and forth through time.
"Don't cry, boys! You will both be alright since you have each other. I already lived a happy life and it's all thanks to you both!" She said her goodbyes to them instead.
"I will bring you back, that's a promise! I will not stop until you survive this moment." Drake told her while holding her hand.
"No, Drake! Please, don't bring me back anymore and learn to let go. You have to let me go for the sake of our child." She tried to convince him.
"You know that I can bring you back. Please, don't do this to us!" He begged.
"Cedrick, please take care of your dad. Help him to let me go like what you should also do. I love you both!" She told her son instead and closed her eyes.
As Celine took her final breath, his husband and son cried their eyes out. It's not easy to accept the fact that she has gone just like that. They were so happy to be back in the future and this happened. That's when he realized that it's the same date when she died before.
