"They just disappeared from the past. I don't know where or when they went. They just both vanished!" Derek reported to the general.
He went to the year 3035 when time travel is still banned. Reporting the target is missing is not what he intended to do. But he has to inform the general of what's happening. The future of the TTA is at stake.
If they were unable to arrest Dr. Drake Cole, it may be the end of their agency. The problem is, the genius scientist seems to have his ways to disappear. The general looks pissed by his report and he doesn't know what will happen next. But he has to wait for his instructions.
When he goes back to the past, he immediately looks for them. But Drake is no longer the person in the pharmacy. Celine's place is also empty already. It's impossible that they just vanished out of thin air. He's sure that they are using time travel devices.
"We need to stop them and terminate that pregnancy. That child will possess abilities that can rule the planet!" The general told him.
"What would happen if their child was born?" Derek is now curious.
"That child can change the passage of time. We can't risk having someone who can travel in time without even using a device." The general informs him with a worried look.
Derek remains silent because of the reason why the child should not be born. Even if he hates his parents, the child is still innocent. Why would they have to terminate the pregnancy just because of its potential? But he dared not to question the general.
In the future, the general is the most powerful man alive. He will do anything to remain in power. If the child was born with special abilities, that will be a problem for him. Maybe he doesn't want anyone to have a gift of insight like him. Nobody questions his decisions.
"Find them and bring them with me alive!" The general said and dismissed him.
"Yes, general!" Derek replied and left the office.
Derek didn't know that the general contacted other agents. He wants to make sure that Celine and Drake's child will not be born. It will be a disaster for him. Nobody knows that he came from the future before this. That child will be his nemesis in the future.
Thankfully, time travel exists and he was able to find a timeline where he could be powerful. He never thought that he would have a chance to change his past. During this timeline, he's the law and he can terminate anyone he chooses. It's his chance to avoid competition.
Cedrick Cole will be the name of that child. If he's right, he can avoid him even being born. His father didn't steal Dr. Cole's research for anything. It's a sacrifice he made for him to become the general he is now. Dr. Simmons is his father in the future but he didn't tell him.
That's why he chooses him to be assigned to arrest the couple. Celine Montgomery was his father's ex-girlfriend who chose Dr. Drake Cole over him. His father is obsessed with her even after he married his mother. They all messed up with time and he's the result of it.
General David Simmons will not let Cedrick Cole be born. It will be his downfall if he lets that happen. He needs to provide some help for his future dad. Derek is not as tough as he is because he used to save lives. He's a doctor after all. But David is not the same as his dad.

His father was too busy chasing Celine Montgomery. He plans to use his father's obsession to kill them. But he will do that after showing them what they did. Maybe that's the only way he will feel better about his life. He will make sure that time travel is banned forever.
David has to do something about it and he will not stop until everything changes. He wanted to have a better future for the next generation. It can't happen with Dr. Cole messed it up to save his wife. Celine should also be terminated along with her future child.
But where are they? His dad told him that they just disappeared. Did Dr. Cole found a way to save his wife and child? That's something that he should not allow. Those people ruined everything and he will not let them have it their way. He worked hard to be the general.
Cedrick Cole can't be the general because he doesn't deserve that. His parents are the reason why the future will end up in a disaster. Celine Montgomery should not survive. She's bound to die and her death should be the end of it all. But he needs to do it his way if he wants to make it all happen.
"Agent Gallagher, have my chopper ready. I'm going to find Dr. Cole and his wife, myself!" David ordered his agent.
If he finds them, he will be putting an end to it all. Celine Montgomery has to die and he will do it after he brings her to the future. She must see it for herself and make her decision. That way, he can kill her and her child without guilt.
