Chapter 11

“You actually want to say something about me at my back?” Douglas asked, bending down.
“Douglas, watch your manners,” Doula said and he clapped.
“You may be older than me, but my father is still older than your mother,” Douglas said.
“You are a bullshit.” Doula ranted.
“Says my dad's girlfriend,” Douglas said.
“Douglas!” Both Doula and her uncle should in unison.
“If you aren't,” Douglas said. “Then tell me for what reason will Dad hold your package.”
 This word made Doula clap.
“You fool, go get a life.” She mistakenly said and was shocked to have said it.
“Yeah!, I have a life,” Douglas said. “At least someone is going to bear my child.”
“She is really pregnant.” His father said and he nodded, confirming his word.
“Father, I am deeply sorry for how I have been behaving to you.” He said. “I really do not wish to, but you not accepting what I want gives me heartache.”
Doula sighed as she had to say something at the moment.
“Your father will give you anything you want except my package.” She said.
Her uncle looked at her, but she motioned for him to calm down.
Mr. Claus nodded, looking at his son.
“What do you want?” He asked.
 “Your properties,” Douglas replied.
Pained, Doula looked at her uncle, then at her cousin.
He was just interested in the property and from what her uncle told her, the girl might have wanted to claim it.
“Here!” She said pointing to the couch she was on. “Take your seat.”
Douglas sat down looking at his father.
“Are you sure the child is yours?” She asked and he nodded.
 “How?” She asked him.
“I sleep with her.” He said and Doula frowned at it.
He really is a young boy but for what other reason would he want his father's properties now?
“Are you really reading?” She asked him and he smiled.
 “Yes, I am.” He said.
Doula smiled, looking at her cousin, and held his hand.
“When you were little, I never thought something like this would happen.” She said.
These words touched Douglas who turned his face away.
“I am sorry, but I fell in love with her. I just need what is rightfully mine to run away with her immediately after our final paper.” He said.
“You really are a fool.” She murmured under her breath.
“Have you done a test to see if she is really pregnant for you?” Doula asked and he gritted his teeth.
“Why will you ask such?” He asked. “I am the only one she has slept with, and I am sure of that. It will be wrong doubting her.”
He got up and smiled looking at Doula.
“Get your package, leave this house, and go get a life.” He said.
“Life isn't all about man,” Doula said and he smiled.
“Before you say anything, remember you are on my property.” He said and stormed off.
Doula looked at her cousin, who walked away.
“Why did you tell him that?” Her uncle asked.
“About the properties?” She inquired and he nodded.
“I wanted to see if he would agree to my suggestion.” She said.
“What if the child a really is his?” He asked.
“Then you will give him the property.” She said and drew close to her uncle.
“Apart from the house and the car, does he know of anything else?” She asked.
 “My company.” He replied.
“Does he know of your business in Mexico and Australia?” Doula asked and he shook his head.
“Then why not give him the one over here for your peace of mind?” She asked.
“It's easier said than done.” Mr. Claus replied.
“Have you tried involving my parents?” She asked.
She could see the love her uncle had for his son and wanted to help him in every way.
Mr. Claus looked at her and shook his head.
“Anyway, you came here to speak to your parents and not about my son.” He said, bringing out his phone.
“Do not tell them anything in regards to what we spoke about.” He said and she nodded.
Doula took the phone and began to speak to her parents, with her uncle by her side.
In his room, Douglas thought about what his cousin said.
“If she really is pregnant for me, it won't hurt her to go.” He said to himself thoughtfully.
He got up with the opinion of meeting with his father and his cousin.
“She should have left now. I told her things that I wasn't meant to.” He said.
With his mind made up, he walked out of his room.
Doula was startled seeing Douglas look at her.
“I would like to get my package now and go with it.” She said.
“Do not leave yet,” Douglas said.
“I have thought about what you said and would like to give it a try.” He said. “If the child is really mine then she won't hesitate to have the test.”
“Thank goodness, you can see through the truth,” Doula said and his father nodded.
Mr. Claus looked down as he thought of her accepting.
“Once she claims really to be pregnant for you, I will give you the property.” He said.
He was bothered about it, but since Douala had promised him, he had no choice but to accept.
 “Thank you, Father,” Douglas said.
He was certain that she would accept, and the result would come out positive.
Then, he won't have to hurt his father to get the properties.
….
 Kailua sat with Meni discussing.
“I love the chilly air here.” She said and Meni smiled.
“I would like you to say anything you want, and surely it will come into existence in the human world,” Meni said.
“I want everything Doula wants to come to pass,” Kailua said.
Hearing this, Meni smiled, knowing how close she was to Doula.
“Your friend really is worth more to you.” She said and Kailua smiled.
