Chapter 16

"I believe that we aren't poor and I promise to make things better for us," Kailua said.
She closed her eyes as she remembered the last meal she ate.
"Next is my parent's blood." She said thoughtfully and took a cup of water as she was tasty.
Taking the cup of water made her feel like floating.
"I need to go to my room." She said and didn't wait for her parents to speak but ran into her room.
Shutting the door and turning the lock, she leaned on the door and began to float.
Her mind went to the clan as they always call the witch house. They were having a meeting.
"Kailua!" She was called into the meeting and got down.
The mother reminded the newbies that their duties should be carried out on time.
Kailua closed her eyes tightly as she thought about this.
She was going to perform her task when her sister wasn't at home. Probably the next day when her sister has gone to school.
 She looked up and smiled.
"Mother, your wish is my command." She said with a sigh knowing that after this is done, she will be given full liberty to talk with the queen mother.
Minutes later, she heard a knock on her door and walked to it opening it.
"Food is ready." Her sister said and opened the door widely.
"You didn't allow anyone into your room before but there is nothing special about the room." She said.
"Do you wish there was something special?" Kailua asked her sister who shook her head.
"Come on, my privacy is worth more to me." She added and Nisha nodded.
"Alright, come down for your meal then we will watch a movie together," Nisha said.
Kailua smiled, knowing that her sister would have anything she wanted.
"Alright, you should go out," Kailua said. "I will be out in some minutes."
Nisha nodded to this and left.
Kailua closed the door and looked at an image that suddenly appeared in front of her.
"I will have to drink some water while eating. What should I do?" She asked.
"You do not need to worry." The image said. "Eat and get your water into the room."
She smiled at this and walked out to join her family.
"Here is your meal," Nisha said, pushing a place to Kailua, who took it.
Kailua began eating like a hungry dog, and this surprised all of them.
Within a few minutes, she was done eating. Her mother placed her hand on her back.
"I can see that you are hungry." She said. "Would you like to have some more?"
Kailua looked at her mother with a faint smile and shook her head.
"I will get into my room with this cup of water." She said. "I have a lot to think of."
"Why not drink the water here?" Her mother asked.
"Let her do as she pleases." Her father said and she left for her room holding a cup of water.
Getting into her room, she locked the door and sat on the bed.
Drinking the water, she felt calm and didn't float.
The new number she had given Doula blinked twice and she answered it.
"How are you doing? She heard the caller ask and tried to get to know who it was.
"Meni!" She finally said out of excitement.
"Yes, how are you doing?" Meni asked
"I am doing great." She said.
They started talking about how things were, and Meni reminded Kailua of the stick she had given her.
"I hope you still have it?" She asked.
 "Yes, I do," Kailua replied.
"Whenever you are going to a place you do not want to be recognized, go along with the stick," Meni said. "It transforms you into a more beautiful picture."
The person who came to Kailua's mind was Doula, but she shook her head, not wanting to have to see Doula. If she really wanted their bond to break, she had no choice but to stay completely away from Doula.
She had a mission which she was to focus her attention on and not Doula.
After the phone call, Kailua heard a knock on her door and guessed it was Nisha.
"You promised to watch a movie with me," Nisha said when she opened the door.
"Oh, yes," Kailua said touching her hair. "I totally forgot."
Nisha took in a breath looking at her sister.
"Should we make it tomorrow?" She asked.
Kailua smiled, touching her sister's face.
"Let's go watch a movie." She said and Nisha smiled.
Soon, they were on the couch, where Nisha began to play a movie.
Kailua's mind wasn't in the movie but in her mission. She smiled occasionally at the movie in order to make Nisha think that she was interested in the movie.
"Kailua, this movie is so interesting," Nisha said and Kailua smiled.
"Especially the part where he floated in the water," Kailua said, and she nodded, laughing.
Anyway, her eyes were fixed on the TV while her mind was away, so my eyes captured some moments.
"Let's try this out," Nisha said playing another movie.
Their parents walked out of their room and looked at Kailua's worried face.
"Nisha, Don't you see that your sister is tired?" Their father asked.
"I asked her if we should make this tomorrow, which she told me today," Nisha said, feigning anger.
"Father, I am really not tired," Kailua said. "I am just worried and since Nisha asked that we watch the movie, I showed my interest as a way of making her happy and staying away from my worry."
Nisha looked at her sister and opened her mouth.
"Really!, I thought you wanted to watch the movies." She said.
"I want to," Kailua said. "It is also a way for me to stay away from my worry."
 Nisha smiled hugging her sister.
 "Thank goodness." She said.
Kailua looked at her wrist and sighed looking at her family.
