Chapter 17

"I need to get to my room as soon as possible." She said looking at her parents.
 "What for?" Her mother asked.
"Are you in a hurry to leave?" Nisha asked, and she smiled, shaking her head.
"I don't want to leave yet." She replied. "I just need to call someone at my workplace." She said.
True to her words, she needed to call someone in her clan, which is her master, Jacinta.
 "Alright," Nisha said.
They all watched as Kailua walked into her room and shut the door.
She walked to her phone and picked it up.
"Hello, Jacinta." She said when Jacinta finally picked up.
"I am glad you were in today's meeting," Jacinta said.
"I also am glad." Kailua said.
There was silence on both sides for some minutes.
"Jacinta, are you there?" Kailua asked.
"Yes, I am," Jacinta said. "Are you still sad about your duty?"
"No, I am not," Kailua replied.
She no longer felt sad about what she was going to do to her parents; at least, her father told her to liberate them from poverty. She was going to liberate them from poverty but at the expense of their life.
Picking up the stick that Meni had given her, she took in a deep breath.
"I will make sure I complete the task tomorrow." She said.
Rolling her eyes, Doula looked up and smiled, knowing that her next task would be to break her bond with Doula.
"I will take care of Nisha." She said to herself and lay on the bed.
With a smile on her face, she drifted off to sleep.
She was transported into the clan.
Meni stood smiling as she got there.
"What's your plan, Kailua?" She asked. "How do you plan to kill your parents?"
"Like everyone has done," Kailua said. "I only will wait for Nisha to go to school. Only then will I have the chance to stab their heart."
 Meni laughed holding Kailua's hand.
"You also will need to drink their blood." Jacinta, who was just walking out, said.
"You should be able to do that, right," Meni asked and Kailua nodded.
Minutes later, they waved her and Kailua woke up from her sleep.
She instantly saw a sharp knife beside her and smiled taking it up. She placed the knife in a hidden corner and braced herself up.
She looked at the clock and saw that it was just past midnight.
"I slept for a longer hour." She said to herself and looked up.
She was thirsty and thought of walking to the kitchen to get herself something to drink.
Taking up her torch, Kailua walked out of the room to the kitchen.
While walking to the kitchen, she felt something creepy on the floor and bent to pick it up but before she could use her torch to inspect it, it jumped off her hand.
Silently, she walked to the kitchen and drank some water placing down the cup she had taken to her room. She left to her room.
Getting to her room, she closed the door and felt the mother speak to her.
"The insect that was creeping on the floor was sent by us to know if you are quick or slow, but I guess you are slow." The mother said.
"Does it affect anything of me?" Kailua asked and she sighed.
"Yes, it does." The mother said.
"How can I prove otherwise?" She asked.
"Murder your parents immediately Nisha leaves for school. Leave no trace of blood." The mother replied.
"Alright, Mother," Kailua said and heard her laugh.
Kailua walked to her bed and sat on it waiting for the morning sun.
A few hours later, it was already five p.m., and Kailua got up from the bed. She squeezed her hand looking up.
A flash appeared and she smiled.
She walked into her bathroom and poured water into the bathroom. She took off what she had on and switched on the tap.
Laying on the water, her body began to float as the water washed her body clean.
Unlike the one in the clan, the water began to drain causing her to get up quickly.
She wiped off the water from her body and walked to the bag she had brought back. She picked out a cloth and wore it.
"Perfect." She said with a smile and walked to her bed.
She sat on the bed doing some yoga.
Some minutes later, her human phone began to ring, and she hissed, seeing that it was Doula.
"Nisha might have told her of my presence." She said. "Maybe, she tried calling me on my new line but couldn't get to me."
Ignoring the call, Kailua continued her yoga.
The call stopped abstractly and Kailua let out a sigh of relief.
"Doesn't she sleep?" Kailua asked no one. "Isn't she human?"
With a smile, she raised her hand up.
"I am also human but also a witch." She said.
She was happy that she was going to be able to complete her task.
She looked at the clock and sighed loudly.
"I wish that time be faster." She said and began laughing knowing fully well that she had no power to control time.
Taking a deep breath, she began to remember all the time she spent with her parents.
"No, I won't allow anything to distract me from my mission." She said looking out of the window.
She saw a shadow move out of the window and knew it was six thirty.
She began to hear her family's footsteps outside and immediately walked to the door.
"Good morning." She said with a smile as she saw Nisha walking.
Nisha looked at her and smiled.
"Oh sister, good morning," Nisha said. "I think you were fast asleep when I came knocking on your door last night.
"Oh yes, I slept very early yesterday," Kailua said.
"Guess as much," Nisha said giggling.
Nisha walked to her sister and held onto her hand.
"Aren't you going to school?" Kailua asked.
