Bradley is not lying in his claim that his condition is critical. Thanks to the prophecy, he survived.
Meanwhilet, it had been a few minutes since Leila lay next to Bradley, but she still couldn't sleep. The latter is still on her mind.
"I wonder what our relationship was before? Did my mother agree with our relationship? How about Eunice? Her claim differs from what you are saying," Leila mumbled while staring at the sleeping Bradley.
"You said only my mind forgot, but not my heart... Maybe you are right. Because when I saw your picture, I felt my heart beat faster..." Leila uttered while gently caressing Bradley's face before closing her eyes to sleep.
That night, Bradley slept soundly, with his arms wrapped around Leila. The warmth of her body makes his wound heal faster. That's why, before the end of the night, Bradley recovers.

Early in the morning, Leila wakes up feeling numb. Why not? Bradley's full weight rested on her.
"Bradley.." Leila hissed while gently removing Bradley's arms and hugging her.
"Hmm... Let's stay in bed for the whole day... Both of us have nothing to do but recover—"
"Bradley, I can't lie down all day... I need to jog and do things," Leila reasoned as she turned to face Bradley, which was a dangerous move for her because their faces almost touched.
At that moment, Bradley opened his eyes and looked directly into hers. "Let's get married..." Out of the blue he declared and it made Leila stunned and shocked for a few seconds.
"Are you delirious? Did your injury cause an infection?" Leila asked with concern. She didn't see any reason for Bradley to offer her marriage suddenly, so she thought of it as the reason.
Bradley caught Leila’s hand while not taking his eyes off her. "Leila Aragon, I can't lose you again... I swear I will go crazy if something like this happens again."
" Nothing like this will happen again, so don't think negatively. What you should think about is getting better. The pack needs you to lead them..." Leila responded. She is still overwhelmed by everything.
Bradley signed and sat up straight. "They don't need an alpha who can't be trusted because his mind is on a stubborn woman," he responded while raising his eyebrows.
Bradley was about to stand up when Leila stopped him. "What are you doing? Your wound will open!"
Instead of answering, Bradley made Leila approach him. "My Leila, I can't lie here while you and our child are starving..." After this remark, Bradley claimed Leila's lips. The kiss is gentle at first, but since Bradley's feeling toward Leila is overwhelming, it deepens until they are both lying and gasping for air.
And because of the overflowing sensation, Leila's mind is all over the place. She can't think because she is being swept away by passionate kisses. 'Oh god... why am I not resisting? Bradley's kiss and touch are so familiar and it makes me feel warm...
[KNOCK! THICK! TOK!] A knock on the door, but Bradley doesn't care as he continues his passionate moment with Leila.
"Big Brother! We have a visitor! This one is stubborn and won't leave until he talks to my ugly sister!" It was Zeke. And by the sound of his voice, Bradley was sure that he was annoyed.
"Ugly sister? Who is he referring to?" Leila asked in a whisper. She doesn't know that they have a sister.
Bradley signed first and was forced to leave Leila's top. "Zeke is referring to you... Compared to our features, you are the ugliest in the family," he murmured and pinched Leila's cheeks before standing up.
"Hey, what are you doing? You can't move just like that!" Leila could not comment on Bradley's teasing because her attention immediately turned to concern. She dashed to support Bradley as he walked, which the latter did not object to.
"Your little brother is impatient... If we don't open the door, he will destroy it." Bradley said with a smirk as he opened the door.
Leila thought Bradley was only joking, but she proved it to be true when they caught up with Zeke taking distance, getting ready to kick the door.
"Hey, little buddy... Who's the intruder?" Bradley asked, while sneering.
Zeke remained frowning while focusing on Leila. "Johnny Zaragosa. He claims he is your husband! Ugly Leila, you already had Big Brother, so stop seeing other men! Don't you know it's not appropriate to have many?"
“Don't worry, I'll take care of this one...” Bradley coldly remarked.
“Are you sure? You are still injured,” Zeke responded with the same coldness.
Leila, who is dumbfounded at the two guys in front of her, has wide eyes. “Both of you- what do you think you're doing? The guy downstairs is my savior, not my abductor...”
But Bradley didn't pay attention to her. "Did that guy know I was still unconscious?" he asked Zeke.
“Yes, everyone knows you are dying... And for this guy, he is unbothered by your presence.”
“Is this my life back then? Why do I feel like I am an outsider?” Leila uttered in her mind. Since Bradley and Zeke ignore her presence, Leila goes down the stairs to go see Johnny.
“Ugh!”
Leila stopped and immediately turned around when she heard Bradley's grunt.
“What happened? What's wrong?”
“My wound...” Bradley moaned and winked at Zeke.
“I told you not to move carelessly. Let's go back to your room-”
“No. Let's go down and see Johnny.” Bradley answered with firmness.
“I'll bring the medicine kit downstairs,” Zeke remarked, turning to enter Bradley's room.
Leila couldn't do anything when Bradley started his step towards the stairs while his arm was around her shoulder. They find Johnny sitting alone on the couch with his poker face.
“Johnny...” Leila affectionately called. That made Johnny and Bradley turn to her. "I'm happy you came to see me."
“Emily-I mean Leila... I just stopped by to say hello and bring this,” Johnny responded with a half smile while placing a basket of fruit on the table.
“Huh! It looks like your concern for my woman is remarkably big... For that, I need to thank you.” Bradley commented with indifference.
“Bradley, he just-”
“Beta Johnny, I appreciate your kindness to Leila. You saved and took care of her, and I am grateful for that. But you should know your priority.”
“Bradley, don't-”
“Now I am talking to you as your alpha. Everyone knows I am injured, so as my Beta, lead the pack.”
Leila was speechless. This time she is seeing and hearing the alpha of the Sapphire pack- the dominant and powerful alpha.
“Injured?” Johnny uttered and looked at Bradley with raised eyebrows. “I think you're perfectly fine.”
This is the moment Zeke comes down with the medical kit. “Leila, change the bandage.”
“Huh? Right here? But-”
Leila did not finish her remarks when Bradley removed his t-shirt.
