After a few minutes, Arnold spotted Alpha Connor and his pack, walking to get inside the boat. Apha Connor grabs Leila’s arm. When Paragon pack took their seats, Arnold’s pack successfully attacked Paragon’s pack and saved Leila. Arnold killed Connor in their fight.
In the hospital.
Luna Maurice was waiting outside the operating room for 6 hours, her cellphone rings.
“Arnold, what happened? Is Leila okay?” Maurice asked worriedly.
“Luna Maurice, she is safe now. We are in an ambulance, heading to the Sapphire City hospital. She faint after the fight. Maybe Leila’s body was stressed.”
“Can I talk to Leila?”
“She was still sleeping, Luna Maurice. I will call you again later if she wakes up.” Arnold sighed. “How about Alpha Bradley?”
“He was still in the operating room. I don’t have feedback yet from his doctor.”
“Bradley will survive, Luna Maurice.” Arnold said as to comfort Maurice.
“Thank you. I will come to Leila once Bradley’s operation was done.”
“Don’t worry about Leila. Her baby is also safe,” Arnold said.
“Thank you, Arnold, for saving her.” Luna Maurice ended the call, so Arnold won’t hear she was about to cry.
“Who is the family of Mr. Silva?” the doctor came out from the operating room and asked from the people waiting on the benches.
“Me, I am his guardian. I am Maurice Silva, Doc. How was he?” Maurice's voice trembling.
“The operation is successful. We could get the bullet from his head. Unfortunately, the bullet almost hit Bradley’s brain..”
“Is he going to be okay, Doc?”
“There are no nerves damaged. He is very lucky. But still we are still observing him and will move him after in ICU instead.”
“Okay, Doc. Do everything you can to treat Bradley.”
Maurice came to visit Leila’s ward room in the evening.
Sitting on the chair beside Leila’s bed. Maurice could not sleep. She was holding Leila’s hand.
“Mom…” Leila opened her eyes
Maurice’s heart beat fast with gladness.
“Leila, my princess. You’re awake. Thank goodness you’re fine. Can you remember me now?”
“Yes mom. How’s my baby? Where’s Bradley?” Leila asked in a soft voice. Her eyes look around the room.
“You’re baby is safe and sound, my Leila. Bradley operation’s is also successful, but he didn’t wake up yet. The Doctor said it will take some time to regain consciousness.”
“I wanna see him, Mom.” Leila pleaded.
“Not today, Leila. Your body needs to recover first and your baby needs it too. You have been through a lot of stresses.”
“Okay, Mom.” Leila holds her belly. “Everything will be fine now, my little one.” Leila breathed deep as she closed her eyes.
Days have passed, but Bradley Silva was still in a coma. They brought Bradley home after three months. Leila didn’t lose any of her hopes. She was trying to come out of her Lotus mark to help Bradley recover, but it didn’t come out.
Arnold, Beta Johnny, Luna Maurice and the entire pack helped together to restore the city. They have also modernized some facilities in the pack house and develop the Sapphire city. It was recently, Sapphire City returned to what it was looking like before the attack. But when the evening’s come you will see the unique look of Sapphire City.
One lovely morning in Silva’s residence.
“Waa…. Waa…”
“Were home, my love.” Leila was looking at her child. The child immediately stopped from crying.
“Oh, you are also excited to meet your father.” Leila sighed as she looked at her child, smiling.
“My niece, do you want to play with uncle Zeke?” Zeke came out from the house, running towards Leila and Luna Maurice.
“Don’t touch her face, Zeke! She is so sensitive.” Leila reminds Zeke to be careful.
“She is beautiful as you, Leila.” Zeke said and gazed at the baby.
Leila was surprised by Zeke’s comment. She was used to Zeke calling her ugly.
“Your room is ready. By the way, what is his name, Leila?” Zeke asked.
“Brent, his name is Brent.” As she mentioned her name, Leila remembers Bradley.
Zeke saw Leila’s face turned sad and so he said. “Let’s come inside. I don’t want Brent to get bacteria here.” Zeke and Leila laughed. “You go ahead and I’ll bring your bags inside.”
“Do you want to bring Brent to Bradley’s room?” Maurice asked Leila.
“Yes, Mom. He wants to meet her father.” Leila answered.
“Okay, I’ll assist you and prepare you a soup after.” Luna Maurice smiled.
In Bradley’s room.
Maurice opened the door. She tied the curtains, and the sunlight filled the entire room. A beautiful picture to look. Leila has her family complete.
Leila put down Brent besides Bradley. Leila caress Bradley’s face. “Bradley, we’re home. Here is our son, Brent. He loves to meet you.”
The child chuckled and moving his feet aggressively. Then Brent cried so loud.
Leila focused on calming her child. Because the child aggravates, Leila doesn’t notice her Lotus mark shining little by little. She carried again the child.
Zeke and Maurice came to help.
“What’s happening? Why did she cry so loud? He was smiling a while ago.” Zeke was furious.
“Leila, your mark appeared! It was shining so bright now.” Maurice was shocked.
Leila looked in the mirror. “What’s happening?”
“Is he wakening Bradley?” Zeke asked.
Leila looked at Zeke, then turned her look to Bradley.
Maurice gets Brent from Leila and stayed on her side.
Leila holds Bradley so tight and whispered, “Wake up, my love. Come back to us.”
Bradley's finger moves. Leila looked at it.
“Mom, Bradley’s finger moves.”
Brent stopped crying and yawn.
“Oh, Brent looks tired from crying,” Maurice stated and laughed a bit.
Bradley opened his eyes.
“Bradley, you’re awake. Oh, my goodness. Thank you, you're back.”
Leila sobbed on Bradley's shoulder.
“I miss you, my Leila,” Bradley whispered to Leila’s ear.
Leila hugged Bradley tight. Zeke also came closer and tap Bradley’s shoulder.
“Big Brother, you’re back atlas! I don’t have to talk to Leila every day now.” Zeke teased Leila.
The room filled with laughter.
“Sssshhhh..”
“Brent is sleeping. Leila, I will bring him to his crib.” Maurice turned and leave the room.
Zeke followed Luna Maurice and closed the door.
Bradley looked intently into Leila’s eyes and wiped her tears. Bradley holds her cheeks and their lips meet softly.
