“You worthless cretin! You sold Sapphire out in order to gain power.” After giving the head council a sound smack, Leila let out a shout.
While his eyes were fixed on Leila, the head council scratched the side of his cheek. “You slutty little thing! I can’t believe you have the audacity to touch me!”
“-Oops! Don’t forget that this itty-bitty chick is carrying my offspring, so I won’t stand for anyone hurting her...” Alpha Connor yelled as he tightened his hold on the hand of the Head Council.
Because Alpha Connor was interfering, the head council did nothing but stare at Leila intently before exiting the room. This was the only action they took.
“You guaranteed Bradley would be secure! What exactly is this, then? Why is he being chained up and tormented in this way?” Leila muttered something as she reached out and caressed Bradley’s face with her trembling hands.
Alpha Connor stepped in to counter Leila’s comments by saying, “I pledge to keep him alive.” “Well, I’m going to give you some time to talk to him about it. Interrogated him about where he had hidden Eunice. If you failed-“ He did not continue his sentence, but Alpha Connor’s eyes tell you everything you need to know.
Leila avoided a confrontation and instead concentrated her attention on Bradley.
While this was going on, Alpha Connor exited the cell to give Leila the opportunity to talk to Bradley. He no longer has any interest in the latter, and he has already made plans to kill him. That is the reason he brought Leila here today. “Oh, do you think that just because Eunice is in your control that I will give up everything? Although she is my daughter, she does not undo all of my hard work.” Alpha Connor repeated the phrase to himself in his head as he lit a cigarette.
In the cell, Leila caressed Bradley’s face again, out of love. “I am very sorry. Everything is ruined because of my actions... Everyone is going through this because of me.”
“-Hmm, you’re pouting, and that’s not good for our baby...”
As Leila heard Bradley’s voice, she immediately looked up. “Hey, you’re-“
“It would take more than a flogging to put an end to me, so sure... I’m fine.” Bradley murmured something while wearing a sly grin on his face.
Although Bradley’s body was covered in blood, Leila gave him a bear embrace because she was overcome with emotion. “You absolutely must leave this place... Alpha Connor has promised me he will not kill you.”
“Silly... That jerk will not let me live as long as he is around. He knows well that I will never stop trying to bring him down as long as I am still alive.“ Bradley confirmed this while maintaining a menacing glare in his eyes. “This is exactly why you have to get the hell out of here!”
Leila gave a little shake of the head. “No... you won’t find me deserting you! Together, we are going to leave this place!” She attempts to pull on the chain that is wrapped around Bradley’s wrist, but the rope is too thick.
“I have a plan, so you have to listen to me...” murmured Bradley as he attempted to use reason with Leila.
“Okay... But where exactly is Eunice? You have no choice but to give her up right now! If you do not stop, Alpha Connor will put an end to you!” Leila placed her hand over Bradley’s face and fixed her gaze on his. His eyes were so blank that I couldn't detect the desperation that lurked beneath. Why is it he still has so much steadiness and hope? Is there something I’m missing? She whispered to herself when she glimpsed the ferocious intent in Bradley’s gaze.
Bradley said, with a lot of significance behind his words, “Don’t worry... Eunice is on her way.” Then he turned his attention to the entrance. “You have heard everything that I have said, Alpha Connor.”
The door had been left ajar for insufficient time. Alpha Connor manifested himself because of this. “I’m curious what kind of plan you have in store for us this time... Taking Eunice hostage and then releasing her, demanding no sort of compensation?” Alpha Connor responded as he moved closer to the situation.
Leila positioned her body so that it would impede anything that Alpha Connor could do to Bradley. At this moment, she will do anything and everything to ensure Bradley’s safety, even if it means gambling the well-being of her unborn child.
Alpha Connor added, “I did not make a mistake when I stated you can be a ruler. You have the potential to reign.” A monarch who lacks connections can never be successful...
Bradley smirked. “You are correct in practically all the things that you have said about me... You are also correct in stating that in order to be successful, one must have connections, something that I have achieved...”
“Ha Ha Ha! Really? Have you found a relationship between the two? Would you mind explaining to me how these two things are connected? Are you imagining things, or do these people actually exist? Because, to the best of my recollection, every pack on this continent struck a bargain with me!”
Bradley scowled at Alpha Connor’s statement, but he did not respond to it, which caused Alpha Connor to clench his teeth. “I can’t believe you’re making fun of me!”
The imminent beginning of Connor’s conversation with Bradley was halted when Beta Morgan arrived, hurrying. “Alpha! It is highly recommended that you come out!“ he exclaimed, then turned his attention to Bradley as he did so.
It would appear that they have arrived on time... Bradley said, with a sparkle in his eye.
“Why do I have to go out into the cold? Can you not fix whatever the problem is?” Alpha Connor roared at Morgan.
“It’s Eunice... She’s out there with some bad guys!” When Beta Morgan observed Alpha Connor’s fury, he fled the room to avoid more confrontation.
The eyes of Alpha Connor widened, and he abruptly shifted his attention to Bradley. “What is the relationship between you and the rogues that you take the most pride in? You made a deal with them?”
Bradley gave a shrug. “It’s not my fault that every rogue in the forest has a grudge against you...,” the protagonist says.
“Damn you! You will perish as soon as I have finished dealing with this vile gang.” Before Alpha Connor and Beta Morgan left the holding cage, Alpha Connor exclaimed something.
Leila turned her attention to Bradley as soon as she realized that Alpha Connor had finally vanished from view. “You communicated with the miscreants, right? I assumed you started an assault, intending to destroy them all.”
Bradley nodded. “We did... we discovered the rogues are split into two groups. The gang that is attacking us has a violent way of life, whereas the other group, which is located outside, has built a community... And each one of them was put through hell by Alpha Connor.”

Alpha Connor approaches the rogues, who are keeping Eunice outside in the open.
“Father!” Eunice struggled to break free from the two rogues who were holding her as soon as she saw Alpha Connor. They were holding her captive.
When Connor glanced at Eunice, his eyes were as sharp as a knife. “You’re a real letdown! You’ve allowed yourself to be taken advantage of by such useless people!”
“Ha Ha Ha! You have not evolved, Connor, the alpha! As an alternative to being concerned about your daughter.”
“She is not a member of my family! There is no such thing as a useless child in my house!” Alpha Connor announced his apathy towards the situation.
The rogues, except for Eunice, were prepared for this comment. She could never have foreseen that her father would refuse her. “Father... How could you? Father...”
“It’s accurate! It is not true that you are my daughter...” Alpha, Connor acknowledged and smirked. “I don’t care if you murder her! That young lady is of no consequence!”
“Ha Ha Ha! Do you believe it now? Alpha Connor is not your biological father, and even if he were, he would not hesitate to sell you out if he had the chance.” The renegade commander insisted, and then motioned to his subordinate to free Eunice, that she should be let go.
