Chapter 120
“Damn it! Put an end to this!” The terrified Alpha Connor let out a scream. His utmost priority is the health and safety of Leila.
Everyone turned their attention to the location of the gunshot and was taken aback when they saw the Head of the Council clutching a weapon.
Bradley is the target of the rifle as he makes his way toward Leila. “I extend a haven to whoever is triumphant in eliminating Bradley Silva! So, I expect I will serve as the ruler’s advisor!” Before drawing the gun, the Head Council made their announcement.
BANG! The sound of gunshots became increasingly loud.
In the meantime, Leila and Bradley can communicate with one another. They embraced one another in a warm embrace.
“Are you okay?” While gently stroking Leila’s face, Bradley asked the question.
“I’m okay... Previously, I had the impression that you had passed away... How?“ As Leila saw the blood coming from Bradley’s skull, she was so shocked that she could not finish her sentence.
“Damn it!” Bradley said something as he wiped the blood off his forehead and continued his work. After that, he shot an angry glance towards the Head Council.
“Ha Ha Ha! You are not immortal, thus you cannot avoid dying! My bullet is unlike any other... Pure silver is combined with wolfsbane to create this item. Because of this, even someone as strong as you won’t be able to endure it!” The Head Council responded as he moved closer, while maintaining his stance and pointing his gun in Bradley’s direction.
“Bradley...” When Leila saw Bradley standing after being disturbed, she immediately feared.
“Don’t worry; I’m okay... I-“ Bradley continued to lie until he became too dizzy to continue and eventually collapsed to the ground.
Alpha Connor clenched his fists and moved toward the Head Council. However, before Alpha Connor could reach the Head Council, he pulled the trigger once more on his weapon. When everyone saw what had transpired after that, they were all surprised, especially Alpha Connor.
Yet, this does not apply to the Head Council. Because he is human, he cannot comprehend what has taken place; despite this, he maintains his pride in being able to confront Alpha Connor and exclaims. “Alas, Bradley Silva has passed away!” As you said you would, I will take the position!
“You cretin!” he yelled. Alpha Connor let out an angry roar and seized the weapon just before unleashing a hard blow on the Head Council. He continued, his voice filled with rage, “I told you to stop shooting!”
As Alpha Connor continued to kick him, the Head Council hid his face in shock as he watched Alpha Connor do it. “Why? I carried out all of your requests! I killed Bradley!” he yelled out in shock and disbelief.
“Damn you! Are you unable to see? Have a look at who you hit!” Alpha Connor let out a piercing screech.
The Chief Council didn’t look until much later. He came to a stop when he saw Leila lying on top of Bradley, unconscious and covered in blood. “What on earth took place?” He said something to the effect of “I’m sure I aim for Bradley!” while his entire body convulsed.
“You scoundrel! I will kill you!” The Head Council was the target of Alpha Connor’s rage as he raised his weapon and targeted it at them.
When Beta Morgan shouted out to him, Alpha Connor was about to pull the trigger on the weapon.
“Alpha! Leila is still alive!”
“Are you sure?” Alpha Connor, having realized that Leila was still alive, tossed the gun and begins running in her direction. After feeling her pulse on her wrist, he quickly picked up Leila and continued his examination of her condition.
“Put an end to this muddle!” Before following Alpha Connor, Beta Morgan shares the news with everyone.
Alpha Connor and Morgan climbed onto the getaway vehicle that was positioned in the most isolated portion of the compound with Leila.
“What is the current state of Leila? Is she joking around?” Alpha Connor inquired with complete disinterest.
Leila had been shot in the back, and the bullet had entered her chest, according to Morgan’s second examination. “What good fortune Leila has... The gunshot did not cause any damage to her heart,” Morgan confirmed with relief as he signed the document.
“Good. Then there is no requirement for us to go to the hospital. Go immediately to the airport while I...” Alpha Connor remarked as he glanced at Leila and then turned his attention to the view outside the window. “I wouldn’t want to spend even a single second more of my life in this city!”
———
The fighting didn’t stop at the Sapphire Compound, either. Even though there was no chance of winning, the last band of rogues kept fighting because none of them wanted to give up.
“You’re going to get it, Leila Aragon! Curse you, Bradley Silva! There goes every one of my plans! Head Council muttered to himself as he inched his way closer to his rifle. It’s possible that the kick he took from Alpha Connor nearly broke all the bones in his ribs. Despite this, he did not give up on the fundamental aim he had set for himself. “I shall take possession of the Sapphire City!” When he was holding the rifle, the Head Council had a terrifying smirk on his face. After that, he crept over to where Bradley was lying and approached him. “I solemnly swear that I will one day hold your hand!”
Although it was challenging, the Head Council persisted in remaining upright when the rifle was pointed at Bradley’s skull. “One more gunshot to the brain, and I can guarantee that you will die!”
‘BANG!
After hearing one gunshot after another, members of the Paragon pack and members of other groups dropped to the ground one by one.
“Get hold of every one of them!” Everyone who attempts to fight will be put to death! Arnold is a commanding leader who is determined and resolute. After that, he turned his attention back to the Head Council, who was grimacing in pain while cradling his injured hand.
“I implore you... I’m pleading with you... Please don’t murder me... I’m only human, and I’m getting on in years...” The top council members promptly got on their knees and begged.
“Huh! Begging won’t help you... You did an excellent job at clearing out the Sapphire pack. Because of this, the flaws that you mentioned are completely irrelevant!” Arnold made offensive comments as he pointed his gun at the Head Council as they were meeting.
“Excuse me, but...” My sole purpose was to contribute to the growth of Sapphire City. I wanted nothing other than calm and tranquility for all of us... After some deliberation, the Head of the Council then reached for the revolver that was concealed on his back.
Arnold looked at the head council with an expression of contempt etched over his face, and he arched an eyebrow. “What about Peace and Order? How can you say that it’s for Sapphire City when practically everyone is hurt and half of the Sapphire pack is killed?”
“It’s not my fault—Alpha Connor played a trick on me!” The Chief Council’s eyes welled up with tears as he pleaded, “So please, give me another chance.”
After signing, Arnold dropped the rifle and left. “OK... I will not murder you and I will let Maurice deal with you,” he said. Following their reply, Arnold rotated around to face them.
This was the moment that the Head Council had been expecting; he took the revolver out of its holster and aimed it at Arnold. “Stupid! It’s like this-“
‘BANG!
A bullet entered the head of the Head Council, causing it to collapse and leave a hole in the middle of its forehead. “Bastard!” Arnold whispered something as he fastened the holster to his waist.
Because of the developments that have taken place, Eunice has emerged from her hiding place. She approaches Arnold, who is assessing Bradley’s state of health at the moment.
“What’s up with him?” Eunice inquired, while displaying a look of deep concern in her eyes.
Arnold cast his gaze towards Eunice. Because he and Bradley had a conversation about her, he was aware of the girl. While he was covering Bradley’s head to stem the bleeding, he asked her, “So you abandoned your bastard father?” (So you left your bastard father?)
“The cretin in question is not my biological father...” In response to it, Eunice stated, “So sure, I will leave the Paragon pack.”
Bradley was taken up by Arnold. “Then you should leave this town. We don’t need someone like you here.”
The hands are balled up into fists. “Leila... Alpha Connor is taking her,” Leila’s mother yelled.
“Leila does great things, and because of this, she will survive and live no matter where she is...” Arnold made the assertion.
In the meantime, while traveling...
“Alpha, there’s a problem with this... When there is a problem with every aircraft, we won’t be able to leave the city...” After speaking with their contact at the airport, Morgan made the announcement.
So we made a U-turn and decided that, rather than departing this city via airplane, we would do so via boat!Download Novelah App
