Han Shou's POV She stood in front of me, facing my dad. I could feel my heart pounding and my hands covered with sweat. After that day, it was almost non-existent for me to even look into her eyes. I was ashamed to even stand in front of her, as the guilt was fuming in my heart. Somewhere I had done wrong with her, and the realization wasn't letting me live comfortably. As soon as I closed my eyes, her innocent face, tears building in her eyes, appeared in front of me. I just kept looking at the ground and listening to their words. Xingyue's POV As I stepped inside, Mr. Han greeted me warmly. He smiled and patted my head: He had given me love like his own daughter. His hospitality felt as if I still had someone who cared the same as my dad. I could proudly say I saw my dad in him. However, when I was there, some faces were also expressing disappointment. I glanced at Han Shuo, and he rolled his eyes down. I felt discouraged within. I wondered whose eyes caught our bonding that resembled as we were strangers now. I hid my sorrow behind a smile and shifted my gaze to Mr. Han. "Xingyue, today I have called to give you this letter. It stated that you didn't harm the company, and no extraordinary master can fire you." He looked at his son with arrogant eyes and claimed. "I have given you my company, but now it seems that you are not even worth it. You aren't clever to investigate before firing anyone. Gracious of Xi Song who gave me proof at the right time." It shocked me to hear Xi Song's name. He was with me the whole time. Then how did he? Many questions related to him were arising in my mind. But before I could react, Han Shou vented his wrath. He smiled sorrowfully and questioned him. "You must be wishing that your son would have been Xi Song. Am I right, Mr. Han? If you could, you might have killed me already." "HAN SHUO!" He shouted at him in an enraged tone, and he left from there. Stuck between them, I felt sabotaged. Feeling sorry, I followed him. ....................................................... "Han Shou! Han Shou, listen to me..." I called him while following him, but he kept on walking. "HAN SHOU." "WHAT?" He turned and answered me furiously. His head was towards the sky as if he was hiding tears building in his eyes. I stood silently beside him for a while. I knew his dad's words frustrated him. It pierced my heart to see him upset. Aside from being my boss, he was like my best friend, too. He took a deep breath to cool his mind and said. "Now, you must also feel I'm an asshole, don't you, Xingyue? I'm not worthy of anything. I don't deserve to live, right?" "Can you just shut up? Do you know what you're saying, Han Shuo? I'm so proud of you that you didn't show favoritism. I felt bad, but because I could not give my 100% to the company." "You know how proud your dad was when he saw you shining. Even though he speaks harsh words, Han Shuo, you are the apple of his eye. There wasn't a day when he didn't mention you." My Han Shuo came first in the music competition. He narrated a melody to me. "He loves you a lot, and I know you love him equally. So, go and talk to him. He'll understand you if you make him understand." We both had moist eyes. Riding in the boat of memories, I finally saw a tiny smile on his face. He chewed his lips and agreed as tears escaped his eyes, and I remained there to comfort him. ......................................................... Xi Song's POV Mindfully, I studied the case of my patient. But where there was peace, there must be an earthquake too. Proving this point, Ling Xiao arrived at my cabin like a quake with a case of his talks. Sitting on the chair, he kept rambling till I asked him. “Tell me, sir. How did this master think of coming here?" He cleared his throat and answered me energetically. "Today, my mood is hopeful. I'm sharing happiness everywhere, so I thought I would give some happiness to Dr. Song, the river of blues, as well." "Oh? It's like that." I dramatically reacted as he rolled his eyes and took out an envelope from his pocket. "There you go." He handed me the envelope, and I cluelessly opened it. On opening, I found two plane tickets. Shifting my gaze to him, I waited for him to explain. "Xingyue is like my sister, and she needs a break in this distress. You have been lying like this for three years and haven't even gone anywhere. I thought it's good for you to have a change." "Are you sure it's for Xingyue and me? What about you and Xia Na?" "Agh! I'm busy in the hospital. Don't you worry, I'll give her time." I stared at the ticket, and I could imagine myself walking around with her. We are roaming here and there, holding hands. I fed her ice cream with my hands, and she passed a beautiful smile to me. Then we went to the hill and saw the sunset together. I slipped my hand into her waist, making her giggle. She rested her hands on my shoulder while standing on her toes and leaning her face close to mine. I slowly closed my eyes as we were just about to kiss. Author's POV Watching him rolling into the world of desires, Ling Xiao clasped his fingers close to his eyes and commented. "Back to earth, Dr. Song, you're still in the hospital." He tenderly chuckled and thanked him. "Ling Xiao, you owned me one. Whenever you're getting married, I'll sponsor your honeymoon." "Deal!" And he winked at him. .................................................... Taking off her heels hurriedly, she ran to the kitchen and excitedly squealed. "XI SONG!!!" He turned back and put his finger on his lips, telling her to stay quiet. "Shh!" He pointed towards his phone, and she moved back, waiting for him to end his call. "Yes, give medicines on time and keep an eye on her. If you notice any change, do tell me. Alright, good night, Mr. Cheng." Politely, he hung up the call and glanced at her. "Yes, Mrs. Song, you were saying something?" He put his hands over her waist and pulled her closer. Grinning at him, she also hung her hands around his neck. "I'm just here to thank my caring husband. I got my job back." He nudged her nose with his finger and demanded. "Then, I deserve a treat, right?" "Huh... You always want something in return." He slightly laughed at her words. "You may have nothing, but I have a surprise for you." He took out two plane tickets from his pocket and showed her. "Tda! We're going on a honeymoon." Amazed, her happiness knew no bounds. She covered her mouth with her hands to stop herself from screaming. "I... Xi Song..." She threw herself into his arms as he embraced her. "Are you happy?" "Of course, I'm more than happy." She broke the hug, and suddenly reality hit her. "But... I have to go to the office." Her words provoked him. He moved back while having a tiny cute pout on his lips. She chuckled as she couldn't resist his cuteness. "Oho! I'll apply for yearly leaves. Happy now?" Still, giving no reaction, he stood there like a statue, which made her stand on her toes and plant a kiss on his lips. "What about now?" A smile appeared on his lips as he started tickling her, and she burst into a peal of laughter.
