Xingyue's POV I had come out to entertain myself. I was feeling alone, as he was not there to comfort me. While walking on the way, I noticed various things which were negligible in my busy life. The fresh gust of wind rolled my hair back. Birds were chirping on tree branches. Children were playing, and old were relishing their time. The sight that my eyes saw warmed my heart a lot. I walked towards the kids and spent my time with them. It boosted another kind of energy inside, and I felt energized again. ................................................ At the time of evening, I returned home with the goods from the market. These days, I crave to turn them into beautiful memories. With a contented smile on my face, I opened the door and came in. A race swiftly occurred inside my heart as it was telling me something I never expected. Petals of rose scattered around, making a path to somewhere. I walked along slowly with a soothing tune that led me to the decorated dining table. There I saw the love of my life smiling at me. He extended his hand and asked me for my hand. I felt a jittery feeling in my belly while handing myself into his arms. He kissed the back of my hand that lightened the room, and I stood there amazed. A song started playing as he held my hand, making me dumbfounded. We were dancing, arms flailing, in the sky above us. We whirled around and whooped our joy into the sweat-stained air. Foot forward, then back. I didn't remember the last time I did this. Why had I ever ended? Author's POV A hand grabbed hers, and she was turned backward, dipped low, then sliding into the air. The flashing colors momentarily blinded her as she touched the ground again and skidded to a smiling, gasping standstill. Smiling all over, they were doomed in each other's eyes. He pulled her nearer and whispered, "did you enjoy it?" She giggled and whispered back. "More than enjoying it, I'm in love with it." A smirk was building on his lips as he asked. "Then pay me back with a kiss." Pushing him back softly, she rolled her eyes. "I expected this." "Alright, let's eat now." Saying, he moved when she grabbed his collar and pulled him towards her. She couldn't resist seeing his creamy lips. She moved to him and kissed his soft lips. He frowned but soon rested his hands on her waist while her hands were on his neck. Sniffing his scent, she felt comfortable. Xingyue's POV With minimal eye contact, I gazed into his eyes, as I only felt spotless love in them. Touching him made me realize like all I ever wanted was right there in front of me. Turning around, I noticed the meals he cooked for me and admired everything he did for me. I was lost in them until I felt pairs of hands around my waist. He back hugged me and rested his chin on the crook of my neck. Placing my hands on his, I closed my eyes as I felt him sniffing my scent, but I could smell him, too. His scent was mixed with mine, making the atmosphere more tender. We didn't even realize when the time flew as we were just moving with the music, just feeling each other's presence. I lifted my hand and caressed his head, asking. "Xi Song?" Humming, he asked. "Hmm?" "Are you going to hug me the entire night?" "I wish I could hug you for the rest of my life. But the food is getting cold." ........................................................... Author's POV Ling Xiao and Xia Na sat by the side of the sweet corn truck, enjoying their pleasant date. They were doomed in the sky's view, crowded with stars twinkling that she remembered something. Her anger outburst like a volcano, while he stayed relaxed and listened to her. "I'm so mad at Han Shuo. My heart wants to slap him tightly. If I was there, I would let nothing happen to Xingyue." He nodded as he took a spoon in his hand and fed her fondly. She mumbled through a mouthful of sweet corn. "AGH!! Ling Xiao, if someday I get mad at you, what will you do?" He responded, filling another spoon with corn. "I don't enjoy making you mad, but you're just so hot when you are." Upon hearing his words, she had a 'Yuck' look plastered on her face. She rolled her eyes and sneered. "Tezz... That's so cheesy. And what if I'm acting crazy?" He said lastly, shoveling another bite of sweet corn into her mouth. "Then, I'll make your beloved, charming face and say, 'everything is alright.' " On this matter, her heart slipped like butter melted down on him. She tenderly pulled his cheeks and moved closer to embrace him. “I trained you well.” ............................................................ Han Shou's POV The morning was hectic, as my head was aching for no reason. With an apple in hand, I waved to my mom. I was about to step out when he stopped me and called me back. "Han Shuo, sit here." I was stunned at his sudden action because he never cared for me. However, as my mom was there, I sat down silently. "I have to go, so tell me quickly." He left no stone unturned to taunt me with the same fake aura. "That's how you talk with your dad?" I calmly replied to him, "It doesn't matter, I guess. Apart from blood relations, we have nothing like father-son." But hearing this, he felt more aloof. "HAN SHUO!! Stay within your limits." "When we have to argue, then why did we start talking? Mr. Han, I quietly gave up my dream for your sake. Isn't that enough for peace? I'm tired and fed up with you." I had really lost hope. No one in this world understood me, nor wanted to understand me. The feast of work, the feast of life, had suppressed me and all my happiness. And I left with nothing but mental exhaustion. Things were eating me from inside. I felt helpless and irritated that I couldn't explain it to anyone, not even my mom. I had tears in my eyes, but no one tried to feel my pain by looking into them. Everyone just wanted something from me, but no one asked me even once, what did I want? No one bothered to know if I was okay. Xingyue would be the last person who consoled me, gave me a reason to live. My eyes started twitching. My arms and legs trembled when he raised his hand. I shut my eyes instantly, though that slap never met my cheek. I remained there with a restless heart when he suddenly changed his tone and gazed at the entrance. He put on a loving smile and welcomed her. "Xingyue, you're finally here."
