Tang Xue's POV
The next day at the office went smoothly. Thanks to Han Shuo, who kept that matter only to himself.
It was getting chillier as the new year was approaching.
Clasping my hands as I walked out of the office entrance, I found Han Shuo sitting alone near the stairs, in the right corner.
He rolled his eyes, staring at the ground with a pitiful look on his face.
Was he depressed? I thought, as it kept bothering me as well. Giving no second thought, I walked towards him.
Han Shuo's POV
Lost in my same old world, I was staring at the ground instead of the stars. Just then a pair of feet stopped in front of me, and I looked up.
A light knocked in my eyes when I saw Tang Xue and her sweet smile.
Keeping her hands in the pocket, she asked me. "What are you doing here alone? Is there something bothering you?"
I remained silent as I had no answer to give her, or maybe, I didn't want to open up about this matter.
Perhaps she knew the secret of my silence. She grabbed my hand and forced me to look back into her intoxicating eyes.
"Come with me!"
Without hearing my answer, she dragged me.

We kept walking until I heard kids whooping and running here and there. Shifting my gaze, I found us standing in a park in front of the merry-go-round.
In the hush, I was glimpsing at her, and she was capturing the glow of that ride.
She had a distinct kind of passion in her eyes. As if she had her own fantasy around merry-go-around.
Exhaling, she glanced at me and asked me to follow her.
She went on that ride and got on a horse.
Waiting for me, she signalled. "Why are you still there? Get on it."
All the people standing there were darting at us, making me damp with more shame. I bowed my head and got on the ride.
As it started, I kept staring at the ground, waiting to get rid of this embarrassing moment.
I heard her whooping, spreading her hands in the air and enjoying it without caring what others would think about her.
She was so carefree, and I felt graving to be like her.
I wanted to spread my wings too, to enjoy without being judged, to escape this jungle of perfection.
I scanned her smile, and it capitalised on me. Enormous strength, beauty, simplicity, everything was in her smile.
Immersed in joy, she uttered. "You know, my grandma used to say that when life is in turmoil, close your eyes and ride on this horse. When you open your eyes, you will come out of that ruin and open the next chapter of your life with a new ray."
She extended her hand and grinned at me. "I don't know your matters, but let's get out of this ruin together, hmm?"
She had said something that had put a bandage on my wounds. I didn't know the feeling. However, I felt touched by her gestures, by her every word.
I finally flashed a genuine smile and kept a hold of her hand.
"Let's goooo!"

Author's POV
Coming out of the shower, Xi Song took a towel in his hand and gently rubbed his wet hair.
He wore a sky blue-colored night suit with two buttons on the top left open.
Just like this, he came out and saw the dinner was still on the table, getting colder.
He seemed annoyed and called her name out.
"Xingyue!"
"Hmm?" She replied in a rush but paid no attention to him.
Irritated by this, he moved towards the sofa and found her working on the laptop. It made him grit his teeth.
He glared at her and demanded. "Why are you still working? I thought I asked you to finish the dinner till I came out, right?"
She remained calm and kept typing.
But then, he took her laptop and put it aside.
"Your focus should be only on me."
"What's with you, Xi Song-" As soon as she lifted her head, her eyes were wide open to see him like this.
With this wet hair, buttons opened, he looked so damn hot that she couldn't resist biting her lower lip.
Her eyes stuck on his half-naked chest described her thoughts themselves.
He was alluring.
Before she could withdraw her mind from its distant places, his arms were around her.
She felt again the rush of helplessness, the surging surge of warmth that left her lifeless. And the quiet face of Xi Song was blurred and saturated with nothingness.
He fell on her with his protective arms around her back and one around her cheek.
Caressing her cheek, he landed on her lips and kissed her, softly at first and then with a swift gradation of passion that made her cling to him.
His insistent mouth was parting her shaking lips, sending restless tremors along her nerves.
Evoking from his smashes, she had never known she would fall for his every kiss differently. It was totally a fresh feeling every time his lips clashed with her.
There was nothing else, just love filled eyes, the warmth of those hugs.
She was leaping in her place when his lips played inside her mouth. Tongues were having a sweet conversation.
She shrouded her hands around his neck, and butterflies sent to her stomach when he lifted her up.
Carrying her along, he made his way to the dining table and uttered.
"Alright, Mrs. Song, no more playing. Eat your dinner."
Saying, he put her down, but she had her own ways to clung with his lips.
A smirk plastered on her face as she stood on her toes and stole one more kiss. "I'm done, now."
He bit his inner cheek, knowing this lady would drive him insane every single day in the future as well. And guess what, he adored it.

Taking a bite from his ice cream scoop, Han Shuo chuckled. "It's so funny. We're eating ice cream in the winter."
Hearing this, she too could not stop laughing. "Probably, we're insane."
Unexpectedly, there was a new glow on his face. Possibly a new feeling was starting to ensue, and his heart started flying again with new hopes, a new destination.
But would the landing be something else or the same?
