It has really been a hell of a day, really stressful, though I have still got some energy left though, but it's really stressful, The book presentation, sitting with Mom and my secretary and then meeting with few clients before I called it a day. Standing in front of my house, digging my hand inside my satchel, looking for my keys, my phone began to ring at the back side of my pocket, I have to leave the key and answer the call first, the key can be found anytime, but the call has limited time, unless I am willing to call back or wait for the person to call again. The name on my screen was Dad, wow..... That's out of place, never saw that coming too, it's normal now, new things have been happening in my life ever since I got myself a new secretary, it feels like I was living some kind of a new life which is linked to my old one. “ Hey Dad....”, “ Hello son.... I got a late information concerning your book presentation, such a shame I wasn't in town to make it to the venue, but I am back now, do you have any strength left?, We can hang out for some minutes.....”. Wow.... Did my Dad just ask me out?, That's a first, he's probably doing it as a sign of apology for missing what I never invited anyone to, something I have been doing on my other books, but no one showed concern like this one, I didn't even show concern too on the former ones, but this time, it's a whole lot different story, something I wasn't expecting, Mom showing up at the presentation, Dad calling now to spend some time with me about the same presentation, guess I won a lottery after all by getting a New secretary that works for me. “ Okay Dad.... I'll be out any moment from now, gotta put on another cloth.....”. I went into the house after unlocking my door, having found my keys where I kept them. I got a text message, it was from Dad, he just sent me the venue where I should come, really happy about this invite, my Dad was never the type that hangs out much, it's always on a special occasion which is always with mom, he wasn't the type that says he needs some alone time at the bar, away from family, he has always been the strict one, always strict to everyone, including himself, no space for free periods from his philosophy, even when he's sleeping, it's still under his normal routine, not an escape. I can see his back, he sat at the bar, he was putting on black, like always, that's his normal color, it turns out to be the same as us too, we all seems to have something for black, maybe because we grew under it or it was just our favourite too. The only difference when it comes to the black attire is that, sometimes, I can put on another color of clothing, to my choice of the day actually, but for Dad, he's the full example of discipline, no cheat day. Coming closer to him, you can see the shape of his muscular defined back, looking more like they're about to tear his piece of clothing off just to burst out free. His shirt wasn't a skin tight clothing, but with a body such as his, it makes you look small and want to do more, many people here probably doesn't recognize us because we hardly show up outside, but mere looking at us right now, putting on same outfit as my Dad, you might possibly think we're brothers rather than a father and a son. “ Hello Dad.... Can't stop admiring your back muscles, makes me feel like I am not doing enough.....”. I made a joke as I got to him, something about joke is that, they're always 50-70% true. “ Yeah..... You definitely said that because you was comparing yourself to me son, you are still growing and I'm aging, don't worry, it won't take long for you to surpass me now....”, he said, a smile on his face, looking into mine. Do I picture my Dad aging?, No, this version of him has always been the one I knew since growing up, there has never been any sudden change anywhere in his look, just exactly the same as always, the thought of watching him change from how he looks now to how he's ever going to look in the future, I can't even create an image about it. He offered me a sit by his side, he was drinking exactly what I thought he was, water, I'm now beginning to wonder whether this has always been how he was born, an ageless super hot Dad, yeah.... I can always see the ladies staring, when I was still living under the same roof with them, I most times follow him to the gym, seeing the way the ladies do stare at him, despite the fact they knew he was married to another woman. “ The first thing I did coming into town was purchasing this wonderful piece.....( He dropped my book on the bar between us, he then called the barman closer), what should I offer you?.....”, he asked me, causing me to change my view from the book cover to him and the bartender. “ Water.... Just water ”, I requested. I can see the way the bartender looked at us, then gently nodded his head, he possibly might be wondering whether we're twins or just brothers, to complicate things in his mind too, we've ordered to be served the same thing, Water. My attention went back to my book on the table, feeling that proudness inside of me that my Dad purchased to read my book despite his tight schedule. My Dad wasn't someone to pretend, trying to impress you by getting your stuff, he is always himself, whatever you see from him is authentic, he doesn't pretend, he just shows you who he is and that's the only thing that matters.
