I dropped her in front of their building, she directed me until we got to the set destination. She did wrote her address in her CV, but I never had time to check, just overlooked those because I never had a reason to do anything with the given address, but now, I have to drive there in person with her just to make sure she got home safely.
It was a tall building just like the one I lived in, but you can tell the difference in quality, it's not a slum, but it's a building she can afford, a normal medium flat for an average personnel.
She greeted me for my favor and left to her home, I just watched her going in, to make sure she disappears out of view before I drive away. I know my how is kind of a pigsty, so I'll be looking to see what she has really got to do to it, I have to see the limit to her abilities first hand.
Waking up the next day, the bed was really comfortable to lie on, I want to sleep in more, get myself more rest, but no, I'm meant for the opposite, I only make progress when it's uncomfortable, so I won't be giving myself such luxury any time soon. Just as normal, I did my normal stuffs, workout, get ready for work, the fact that I'm still about to prepare dinner is quite stressful, looking like it's going to suck up my time, but if I don't do them, then I am definitely going to work today in an empty stomach.
 I just prepared something light, something that won't be left over for dinner, I just stuffed it in and made my way off to the office. This was the first time I got here and Lydia wasn't already at the office, interesting.... That's a first. I had some other plans to look into, so I decided to go accomplish those first.
I met my lawyer, I let him know about my new temporary personal assistance, I requested he provide me with security documents for stuffs like this, we made plans and he promised to make them get to me before noon. On getting back to my office, she was already there handling stuffs, always busy with work just like I was, really appreciate that we have the same workaholic energy in common.
After the greetings, I went in to begin with my day, with all attention placed on the screen before me, she came in. “ I'll be heading out to your home now Sir.... Call me if you need anything so I can fetch them for you on my way back ”. I permitted her excuse as she left my office. It all felt silent and empty when she left, we don't usually see each other while busy working, but right now, it felt all alone, like the energy next door was no longer there, it was gone.
Trying to get all my attention back into the screen before me, eyes fixed on every word before me, trying to get that idea back burning inside my mind, My phone started ringing, it was vibrating inside my pocket, calling to my attention, I have to detach myself from the screen again so that I can answer to whoever was on the other line.
The name on the screen turns out to be one I'm familiar with, one I can never snub. Placing the phone to my ear, I decided to greet, “ Hello Mom.....”. I was kind of wondering why he would be calling now, but knowing my mom, she always call when she has something she sees as important to talk about.
“ I heard the News, I couldn't have believed it if it had never come from a reliable source.....”. She stopped speaking, I stayed silent waiting for her to continue but she never did, probably waiting for me to show that sign of curiosity within.
“ What?”.
“ You never wanted a secretary, that I have always known, believing you've always been enough for yourself, but now, personal Assistant?, That I never saw coming....”.
Yeah, no one does, no one saw that coming, not even me, it just happened and I am willing to accept it that way since it's to my own benefits.
“ My schedule became uptight, as my secretary, she was taking the responsibility of handling my office stuff, but I was too occupied to handle even my home activities, so I decided that I have to hire a personal Assistance and allow her do just her job as my secretary, but to my surprise, she decided to take up with the position, increasing her workload just as me, saying she just wants to be part of activities that makes me better, really appreciative of such gesture from her ”.
In few words, I gave my mom a full explanation about how the change of scenario occured. When we're done with the conversation, she disconnected the call, saying that we will talk more about it when she visits again.
With my alone time, I really did a lot of work on my computer, taking advantage of the lonely and quiet office until I heard the door unlocked. I stilled, waiting to catch a glimpse of her, she showed up into my office, carrying a flask, the smell of the food hovering on the air, getting into my nostril while I breathe.
My stomach rumbled out of hunger, I checked the time and it was 14:23, I almost forgot about lunch because I was way invested in what's before me, almost forgetting the opportunity she offered me, saying that I can call and ask her to get me anything I wish for, thanks to God she got me this food, my body really needed it to fuel me up.
“ Thanks ”.
“ You're welcome..... I can tell you really needed this, since you're busy working, it's also my job to keep you well fed ”.
