Lydia took me with her to go see the little girl after we were done with work for the day, I spent hours with them, her mom was the one looking after the baby while she works for their feeding. They're living quite comfortable too, now I came to realize why Lydia choosed to work for me as a personal assistant too, she was the breadwinner of the family and she was trying to give her child and mom the better life she never had. The more I see what she's doing for her home, the more respect she earns from me, turns out she already shared with her mom who I was before I even came here, I think I am now the one left, I have got to share with my Dad and Jack what decision I had made.
Jack definitely doesn't know that Lydia was already a mom, and Dad definitely doesn't know anything about Lydia in general, maybe he just know that she's my personal assistant, nothing else, I wonder his outlook on Lydia when I share with him that she already has with her a two years old daughter named Linda. I exhaled out loud and sighed, the thought kind of eating my focus off.
“ Is Everything alright?”.
“ Sure, they're......nothing is wrong, was just thinking stuff through, something I might possibly have missed along the line ”.
I smiled at her, calming down her curiosity as she gets up to take back the empty plates to the kitchen, Linda was in my hold, she possibly sees me as her new friend because we've just been playing together since I got here, dividing my attention with, Lydia's Mom and her little daughter, and as well her too, was just looking at her as my greatest achievement, never thought there was anyone out here with my mom's capabilities, but right now, the person in that category was now my lady.
Seated at the bar with Jack, both our attentions were divided, having conversations, yet watching the live boxing match between his personal rivalry and another opponent, they have fought with each other twice, Jack taking the victory the first time and the rival winning him in the next, so they're looking to break the ties any time soon.
“ Benita told me that your heart have been successfully stolen, knew it might happen, but still surprised that it still happened ”.
I smiled, hearing how he put it sounds like I was never open to be loved or something, maybe that's what everyone thinks, but for me, I love everyone I care about, so they already have a piece of my heart, I was just having difference with relationship, I was not open to that one then, because I knew it comes with a lot of price to pay, which I am actually not ready then to get myself involved in, but now, now..... It's a different story, I just found the lady who I can possibly fight for with all my heart to protect.
I sip from my bottle of wine, eyes on the fight just like so many other peoples in this bar. “ She's worth the risk, she shares authentic abilities with mom, I am not yet comparing them to the same level, but she's a great person in a way mom is too, the way she has been taking care of me before we made it to this stage is really exceptional. I think I agree with you, my heart has been definitely stolen....”.
Jack turned to me, eyes off the fight and a wide smile on his face as he patt me on the back of my shoulder, “ You sure deserve peace man, that's something my wife gives me too, something I can never trade with any other abilities, and the room activities are exceptional too, she's the best in all aspects....”.
Both of us burst out of laughter that I almost choked on my drink, yeah.... The room activities are always considered too, I am still about to explore, but I can tell Jack was living a fantasy, he always have nothing but compliments for his wife and really enjoying life as a father as well, Clifford really growing up really fast.
“ Yeah..... But there's something more, a reason she never wanted to put up with me on the first place, after I found out and told her that I am good with whatever she comes with, that's when she decided to proceed with the feelings she has for me, she was ready to numb it all because of a past that was quite bothering....”.
Now Jack turned quite serious, like he knew that I am about to share something so intimate, I can tell he possibly has a question relating to this but decided not to ask yet, possibly going to ask what made her change her mind about being with me.
“ She has a baby.... She has a baby Jack, a two years old baby, she gave birth so early at sixteen and that kind of scares me about what Dad's outlook on her is gonna be ”.
I said, cupping my mouth with my closed fist, not looking at the fight on the television or at Jack, just looking forward at nothing, though the drinks were there. I felt his hand on my shoulder, rubbing gently like he was trying to let me know that it was okay. Everybody might think she's this kind of girls who wants to live like a bird, having adventures of pleasure, but no, that's not the case, she has a story, Lydia has a story, but the consequences were the same because she wasn't careful enough or I can say she was just in love that she never saw a reason to be careful, she just gave all of herself to the young man who ended up ruining her, letting her go, leaving her wandering alone in misery, yet she never gave up on love because she believes I was worth another shot when I never believed in myself.
