Ted's POV~ I sigh as I lay in my bed, thinking about Beth. I miss her more than I could ever imagine. I look down at my phone as I stared at Beth's contact in the screen. I had been trying to call her, but it seems she wants nothing to do with me. I don't blame her thought because I am the one that left. I can't even imagine how sad and humiliated she must have felt when I disappeared. Ella and Celine had tried their best to apologize on my behalf, but she wasn't willing to listen to even them. According to what Celine had told me, Beth had shouted at her for bringing me up during their conversation. I stand up from my bed and walk around my room, feeling restless. I really want to go to her, but I couldn't risk it because of Mark. He had somehow managed to get a sex tape of Beth and is now threatening the both of us with it. I can't imagine what would happen or what Beth would do and feel if that tape ever got out. She would be absolutely devastated and she wouldn't ever want to speak to me again. Mark's an idiot and it was obvious, but I never knew he would be that much of a bastard. He was a fool with trust issues that liked to use people to his advantage. He went in the wrong direction by choosing to use that as a threat to Beth and I. It was hard to handle but I had to do what he said, just so he wouldn't post the clip online or spread it to his friends. The only thing I wanted now was to see Beth by my side and nothing more. Being by her side always had a way of comforting me. Having her ignore me this way was rubbing me off the wrong way. She wasn't even willing to let me explain but it wasn't her fault, because no one would easily forgive something like that. I walk down the stairs to the living room, thinking about what I can do because of how restless I am. I would do anything to have her in my arms but Mark's threat still rang fresh in my mind. I think for a moment as I pace around in the kitchen, but then I decide to call her again because I couldn't take it anymore. It's not like Mark would know that I called her. I call her phone and it rings for a while but no one answers. I had a feeling that she was really worried about Mark's threat. And I wouldn't to blame her because she was the one that had the most things to lose in all of this. If I can talk to her, we might be able to come up with a plan to fix the problem at hand. It's not like I expected her to pick up. Worried and frustrated I decide to call my friend Theo, hoping he could help me. The phone rings for a while before he picks. "Hey Theo." I say immediately the call connects. "Hey, man." He greets. "How you doing? I haven't heard from you in a while." "I'm fine, Theo. I've just been busy, that's all. I have something to ask you." I sigh. "Okay, what's that?" "It's Beth, man. She isn't picking my calls, and she refuses to see me. I've asked her sister and her best friend to speak to her on my behalf, but she's just not listening to anyone. I'm really worried about her." "Aww.. really? I never knew all this was happening. I actually saw her yesterday. She was at the Casina club house, just yesterday." I perk up at his words. "Really, how did she look?, Did she look okay?" "She looked horrible man, like she hadn't been eating or even sleeping. I was wondering what the problem was, but I wasn't able to ask her because I was with someone and by the time I looked back, she was gone." I sigh and sit on the arm of one of the couches. "I really don't know what to do, man. This situation is much more out of hand than I had thought, and I can't go close to her right now, for her own good." "Her own safety?, what's the matter, what do you mean? You can tell me." His voice sounds worried. "It's nothing you need to worry about, Theo. I just need a favor from you, can you do it for me?" "What's that, Ted? You know I'd do anything for a friend." "I know that, Theo. Well, I need you to help me keep an eye on Beth. You don't need to do it all the time, just help me check up on her a few times to make sure she's okay. If she needs anything, you can help her out with it, money's not a problem, I can provide whatever you need. And most importantly, do not let her or anyone know that I put you up to this, okay?" "Is that all? If that's it, then you don't have to worry, I'll do it for you. I'll let you know what she's doing at anytime I check on her, okay?" "Thanks, man. I really appreciate your help, and I'll make sure to pay you back somehow. Also, if you notice anyone following her or watching her, please let me know." "You don't really have to worry, Ted. I'll do exactly as you say, and that's what friends are for. If I was in the same situation, I know you would do the same for me." "Thanks once again." "Okay, I'll start tomorrow and call you if I have any information to give to you." Just as I was about to reply to Theo and hang up, my front door slams open and Enid walks in, an irritated look on her face.
