Stella's gesture served a lot of purpose today, she made me realize that I need her more than she needs me, something are left for someone closer to take care of, I know that she was curious, I don't mind about that, I expected her to be, I expected her to fall a victim of curiosity, but she never allowed it to take the best of her, curiosity kills the cat, I have heard so much about that, but by her act of accepting what I told her without pressing harder, I think I should really give her more credit more than she deserves.
David never asked for the details and I am glad he didn't, just saw how moody and side I was, he just asked whether I was willing to share the problem with me, I said no, and he just went on his way, knowing that pushing harder might end up in a wrong note where I might channel all my sadness and worries to anyone who came around, it might lessen my burden, but will disrupt anothers days. I just hope I can find solution somehow that won't end up with me leaving this family.
I hid everything well from Uncle Dale, right from the time at the gym to the time I went to bed, he never asked about what was bothering me, I just acted natural, not to happy or moody because he will sense something is off if I do any to the extreme.
Sitting on the dining table and was already done with breakfast, that's when he spoke up, “ By the way you decided to hold whatever is bothering you back from yesterday until now, I guess you're taking control of it and hoping that you have the upper hand?....”, he said to me, eyes on me. Uncle Dale really makes the conversation less stressful to indulge into, he wasn't asking about the problem, but how I was handling it, with someone like this being your guardian, what else can you ever ask for?. He knows that some problems are not easy to share, even if it was, some people can't get to know about it because they don't have to, knowing that I haven't shared it with him willingly, I guess he has gotten to realize that the problem wasn't meant for him to know, instead, he showed me that I shouldn't worry too much, that he was here to give me a hand in solving it despite knowing nothing about it.
His support brought a smile to my face, fueling me up to take on with what today has in lock for me. There's always that moment when you believe that you have solved all your problems and nothing more is left to struggle with, that's when life shows you that you have more than a lot of them packaged for you to open, more like a present that offers you challenges than gifts.
Getting to school, everyone was looking at me, more like something I don't know is wrong, the students were glaring at me with hate rather than pity, was this Jack's doing?, No.... The Jack I grew with from the Orphanage can't stab me on the back like this, maybe it's something else, something I don't know about. Jack can be mad or angry, but looking from the way we were trained, he wouldn't mess me up this way, but he's the only one I have issues with right now and I am still looking for a way of solving it.
I went to my locker, to swap my books for the day, that's when Stella's friends and cheerleaders came to me, throwing me eggs and spraying water and colors on me, ruining my outfit and shouting angry words at me, they fled immediately they saw the principal coming there, I wasn't trying to dodge there attacks, I just stood there confused as they damaged my outfit and littered the floor and my locker with those around mine too.
“ Oh my God..... Are you okay Mr Williams?...”, he asked me, quite taken aback by the situation, his confusion really can't be compared to mine right now, I was just lost in thought like I never saw this coming.
Sitting in the principal's office, Jackie was sitting at the next seat, looking messed up just like me, though I have cleaned up and her too, the damages were still too visible to notice, the cheerleaders where standing behind us, all of them except Stella and my confusion is way above anyone of theres.
“ Why did you guys do this to your fellow students, are you all out of your minds or something?.... It's still morning and the day haven't even begun, yet here you're, causing commotion in the school!.....”, the principal was shouting at them, but they all looks less concerned about what he's saying, I never tried to look back though because I would see nothing but glaring eyes at me for something I know nothing of.
Jackie was just silent, looking absent minded from the office, more like she was thinking about the reason for this, why would they attack me and also attack her, what if they're also planning on going after Jack next?, Was I the cause of this or something?, Why would they come after me and them too, what may have gone wrong?.
“ You all are going into detention today, your whole day will be spent there for your cruel acts....”, The principal gave his decree and asked us to leave his office, all of us, they just glared at both of us and walked away, definitely heading to the detention center.
“ What happened Jackie?.... Why did they come after you?.... Are you okay?....”, I don't know whether that was the questions I should be asking, but that's the only thing that could come out from my head.
“ Leave me alone Jones, I need some space ”, she walked away, leaving me behind. What exactly is going on?.
