His own family and Celeste's family have been expecting them to get married in the future, have tons of children to continue with the Montserrat bloodline.
But he doesn't have plans to get married with Celeste. He is firm in his beliefs that he is only going to marry the woman that he loves and he will create his own family with love, kindness and gentleness.
And he will not let his future children grow in the world of organized crime.
Maybe this is the perfect time to talk to Celeste and get everything straight.
Michele took a deep breath before he spoke again.
"Celeste, we need to talk." he started.
"Oh? What do you want to talk about? Is it about our upcoming engagement and our future wedding? Well, I have many plans in mind---!" she stops at mid-sentence when Michele interrupted her.
"Yes, we need to talk about those things. But I'll go straight to the point, Celeste. I'm sincerely sorry, but I don't have plans to marry you." Michele thought that dropping the bomb rightaway is much easier than going in circles.
Celeste was taken back by Michele's statement, but after a few minutes, she regained het composure and she lets out a smile again.
"Maybe you're still sleepy, Michele. You don't know what you're saying. You know what, I'll leave you alone so that you can catch up on your sleep and we can talk again tomorrow." 
"No, Celeste. I'm in my right state of mind. I've already decided on this eversince we were in College. I might sound overly romantic and old-fashioned, but I want to marry the woman I love, and not for business purposes." relayed Michele.
"I'm not that blind to see that you don't love me. I've known it all along. But I still believe that you'll love me someday. Why don't you just give me a chance? Let's go ahead with the engagement, let's get married and let's give our marriage a try. Maybe you'll eventually fall inlove with me." Celeste pleaded, as she's getting teary-eyed.
"I don't want you to go through that torture. We need to break ourselves free from the marriage for convenience tradition between the La Famiglia. I truly believe that you will fall inlove with someone else and you will be happy." Michele sincerely stated.
 Celeste angrily wipes her tears and stared at Michele.
"You're making a lot if excuses, Celeste. Just tell me the truth, will you? Are you inlove with someone else? Is there another woman?" she interrogated.
Michele frowned as he didn't like the words "other woman."
"Let me clear one thing. First, we really don't have a relationship. We're family by affinity, nothing more, nothing else. And besides, I didn't say I like you, nor I love you and I never, ever lead you on. And another thing... Yes, I'm inlove with a very special woman and she's not just "other woman." Just remember that." he said, in a very serious tone.
Celeste wasn't able to speak for a few minutes because she was shocked by Michele's sudden coldness towards her. She feels like he's a totally different person because of that woman who came out of nowhere.
"I will not give up on you that easily, Michele! You know me very well. I'll make sure that you'll fall inlove with me. We'll get engage and get married in no time." she enunciated, while looking determined.
Afterwards, she grabbed her branded bag at the sofa and stormed off. 
Michele just watches Celeste walk away until she was out of sight. All he can do is to helplessy sigh.
Eventhough the outcome was not good, at least he was able to say the truth to her.
He suddenly thought of Clarissa. Since the very first day he saw her, he knows that she's the woman he wants to marry. And there's no turning back now.
He decided to stand up and made his way towards his walk-in closet. He pulls a blue velvet box from one of his closets and he opens it.
Michele smiles when he saw the pear-shape diamond engagement ring which sparkled against the light.
He bought this ring few weeks ago, and up until now he wasn't able to give it to Clarissa.
He's been thinking of different proposal scenarios but he just keeps on missing the perfect timing.
But he has to do it one of these days. The sooner, the better before his father, the Godfather, will try to stop him from his plans to marry Clarissa.

It has been days since her argument with Michele happened, but Celeste didn't receive any calls from him. It's making her feel frustrated, hurt and heartbroken.

She quickly got up from her bed when one idea suddenly came into her mind. She grabbed her mobile phone from her bedside table and started dialing a number. She knows someone from an Investigating Agency, and she will ask him to conduct a background check on Michele's mysterious woman...
And once Celeste knows everything about her rival, she will have to deal with her.
