Chapter Fourteen: Clarissa VS Celeste

After a few hours.
Clarissa is currently walking her way at the Angels Home Orphanage. After six days of working, she can finally relax and have a happy time with the children. She missed playing with them so much, and she's really excited to meet them all again.
"Wow! A new firetruck toy! Thank you very much!"
She thoughtfully frowned when she heard that excited voice coming from the auditorium of the orphanage. Did another philanthropist visited the children again? And who could it be?
She walks faster as she gets more and more curious. She can hear the sound of the children, and it's clear that they sounded happy and excited.
As soon as she reaches the entrance door of the auditorium room,  she saw the children who are currently standing in line. She saw a really pretty woman who screams of expensive items from head to toe, and she was the one who is giving gifts to the children.
She's happy to see that many people wants to help the children at the orphanage, and they will welcome them with open arms. The children's eyes are sparkling with so much excitement and she feels like she already won million of dollars just by looking at them.
But she's curious about the woman who is giving gifts to the children. Who is she? What kind of work does she do? And why did she choose to help their orphanage?
Her train of thoughts suddenly stops in a halt when she heard Sister Grace's voice.
"Clarissa, dear. Why are you standing there at the doorway? Why don't you come inside?" the old nun asked her.
"Oh, I just arrived her few seconds ago. By the way, who is the woman giving gifts to the children, sister?" Clarissa asked.
"She is Miss Celeste Vitale. She called the orphanage one day and she said she wanted to give back to the children and pledge her donation. She also told me that she knows you." Sister Grace replied.
Clarissa frowned thoughtfully as she tries to think. The name Celeste Vitale rings a bell to her, however, she can't remember meeting her somewhere. She swears that today is her first time to see her...
"Hi there, Clarissa!"
Clarissa snaps her head up when she heard someone calling her. It was none other than Celeste Vitale, who was smiling while waving at her.
She forces an airy smile towards her, and waved back so that she won't look weird infront of the children and other nuns.
She would really like to talk to her because she wants to know on when and where did they meet, and she also wants to show her appreciation for making the children at the orphanage happy.
===========================
A few moments later.
Clarissa and Celeste are currently having an afternoon coffee at the dining hall inside the orphanage.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for putting a smile on each of the children's faces. And thank you also for your generous donation for the orphanage. May you have thousand folds of blessings." Clarissa smilingly thanked Celeste.
"Well, to tell you the truth, I have another reason on why I went here. And that is you." Celeste mysteriously stated.
Clarissa curiously frowned after she heard the woman.
"Sister Grace said that you know me? I'm so sorry, but I can't remember meeting you. Can you tell me where and when did we meet?"
Celeste shook her head in return.
"No, we didn't have the chance to meet in the past. Technically, this is our first time meeting each other. But I know about you already because I asked someone to do a background check on you."
"What? You did a background check on me? Why would you do that?" Clarissa's curiosity grew even deeper.
"First, introductions are in order. My name is Celeste Vitale, and I am Michele Montserrat's fianceè." Celeste smilingly introduces herself.
Clarissa's eyes widened in utter shock after she heard Celeste's revelation. So that's why her name sounds like a bell to her. Michele already told her about Celeste. Her boyfriend told her that he was engaged to be married, not because he wants to, but it was their parents wish to establish a strong alliance.
"I'm sorry for giving you a shocking news, but that's the truth." Celestespoke again, in a casual manner.
"But Michele told me that getting married is against his will, and he told me that it was your parents' decision, not his." Clarissa tries to reason out.
"Yes, this marriage was originally for business and partnership. But I am confident to say that I can make Michele fall inlove with me. And besides, he was born greater things. He is bound to the Godfather of La Famiglia. He is destined to get married and have children with me. And he is fated to live a perfect life with a wife just like me..." Celeste said it all in one breath.
"But does Michele really like that kind of life? Did you already ask him about it?" Clarissa gently asked the woman.
Celeste held her head high and looked at Clarissa straight into her eyes.
"You don't have any choice, Clarissa. Stay away from Michele or else..."
"Are you trying to threaten me, Celeste?" Clarissa bravely asked her.
"No, I'm not threatening nor scaring you. I'm just giving you a friendly warning." Celeste said, and the tone of her voice became cold as ice.
Clarissa was about to say something but she wasn't able to do so because Celeste suddenly stood up.
"It was good to finally meet you, Clarissa. I hope we won't see each other again." Celeste finally said her goodbyes.
Afterwards, she started walking away, along with her three bodyguards.
Clarissa suddenly became anxious. She's not really worried about herself, but she's concerned about the people around her. She's thinking about the children at the orphanage, the Mother Superior and the nuns. She's also thinking about her co-workers and her other friends.
But what can she do in this situation?
