For the passed few days, Michele has been consistently protecting Clarissa after what happened to her. He's always showing up at work, driving her home, and he also visits the orphanage during the weekend, just to be by her side, and at the same time, he's starting to get closer to the children and everyone there.
It was another weekend at the orphanage, and Michele is helping out preparing lunch for the children. He is doing the barbecue grilling, while the others are cooking their own dish, and there are some few who are setting up the long table and the chairs as they are gearing up for an outdoor lunch party.
Michele's eyes roamed around to look for Clarissa, but she was nowhere to be found. He suddenly became anxious, thinking that something might have happened to her. Eventhough they are in a public, populated place, he's still up on his feet, and alert at all times. His father, the Godfather of the "La Famiglia"  will do anything and everything to get what he wants.
He immediately asked one of the staff at the orphanage to take over the task at the barbecue grill to search for Clarissa. He searches everywhere, from the children's numerous classrooms, playrooms and sleeping quarters. but she couldn't just find his girlfriend...
Michele is getting more and more anxious and nervous as minutes go by. There has been many images thoughts that is flashing on his mind. Maybe she was abducted by his father and she is being interrogated by him, and there are many other things that he's been thinking.
If something happens to Clarissa, he will never be able to forgive himself.
He is now making his way towards the botanical garden because it's the only place that he hasn't searched yet. He stops on his tracks when he heard one, familiar voice, coming from the botanical garden.
"So, have you thought about the thing that we talked about?"
Michele thoughtfully frowned, as he is surprised to know that Celeste and Clarissa had contact which each other. And since when did Celeste talk to Clarissa? And what did they talk about?
He decided to join in their conversation to know the answers to his questions.
"What are you doing here, Celeste?" he suddenly interrogated her.
Celeste's eyes widened in shock as she was caught by surprise by Michele's sudden appearance. She wasn't expecting him to catch him talking to Clarissa.
She never thought that Michele would also visit the orphanage at this time and her main goal is just to talk and convince Clarissa once again to leave Michele.
"W-Well... I was talking to Clarissa about you." she didn't have a choice but to tell the truth to Michele.
Michele's eyebrows met in a frown while looking at her.
"And what are you talking to Clarissa about me? How long have you been in contact with her?" he continues to bombard her with questions.
"Alright, fine! This is our second time talking to each other. I told her to break up with you because we're already engaged and we're going to get married soon!" Celeste finally spills the truth.
Michele took a deep breath, as he tries to calm himself. Afterwards, he stares at Clarissa right into her eyes.
"Let me clear one thing to you. Yes, we are engaged to be married, but it's not on my free will. You're very much aware that our supposed to be union is decided by our parents, for the benefit of our families. But if you're going to ask me if I am going to marry you, the answer is NO. It's not going to happen." he went straight to the point, without mincing on his words.
At the same time, Clarissa winced as she hear those words from Michele. As a woman, her heart went out to Celeste because it hurts to hear those words from the man that you love. She thought that he should have chosen his words carefully so that Celeste won't be hurt that much.
"Michele, that's too much. Celeste is not doing anything wrong." Clarissa tries to pacify him.
"I'm so sorry, Celeste, but I'm just telling the truth. You just have to accept the fact that I don't love you and we are not gong to get married. I love someone else, and I intend to marry her. And that is Clarissa." Michele sincerely stated.
Celeste wasn't able to say anything because she's still in shock after hearing the truth from Michele. All her life, she's been preparing on being his wife, and being the mother of his children.
But her life-long dream crumbles now, as she finally heard Michele.
"I have to ask you one thing, Celeste. And I hope you will tell me the truth." he suddenly spoke, while looking serious.
"What is it?" Celeste asked, in a shaky voice.
"Do you have anything to do with the bombing incident at Clarissa's workplace few days ago?" the man questions her.
Celeste's eyes widened in shock because she feels like Michele is suspecting him of that bombing incident. She actually watched that news on the television, but she swears that she doesn't have anything to do with it.
"I might be the daughter of one of the mafia head, and I might be a spoiled brat, but I would never, ever hurt other person just for my own benefit. I still have conscience."' she firmly stated, as she stares back at Michele without even blinking.
Michele stares back at her for a few seconds, then afterwards he nodded in return.
"I believe and trust in you, Celeste. I appreciate you being honest with me. And again, I apologize for hurting you, but it was not my intention. I just want to tell you the truth so that you can finally move on with your life. You're beautiful, smart and strong... I'm sure there's a better person for you." he genuinely relayed to his childhood friend.
Celeste forces an airy smile towards Michele.
