The day of the mango harvesting finally came. Dana woke up at 3:30 am, and she's all set and ready at four o'clock in the morning. She's getting used to waking up early in the morning, and she's starting to like it.
She went to the kitchen to make herself a cup of hot coffee. She's drinking her coffee while enjoying the coldness and peacefulness of this morning...
At exactly 4:30 in the morning, Marcus is finally at their doorsteps, waiting for her because they are going together to the mango farm.
Before she and Marcus can finally go to the farm, her Aunt Maggie gave them last-minute reminders.
"Please watch over my niece, Marcus." Aunt Margie reminded Marcus.
"I promise I will take care of her, Aunt Maggie." Marcus made a promise.
Dana almost rolled her eyes heavenward. Her Aunt is really an old-fashioned type of person, but she can't really blame her. She knows that she's just trying to protect her.
After a few more reminders, Marcus and Dana finally started walking towards the mango farm, which is only half-an-hour walk from their house...

Fifty Six Sweet
Dana lets out a gasp of admiration while her eyes continues to roam around the vast mango farm, abd everything in this place looks like a paradise!
Many workers are not starting to pick some mangoes, and the others are carefully putting them in numerous baskets... 
"Let's go and start picking mangoes, Dana." Paul suddenly informs her.
"Okay, so what should I do?" Dana curiously asks him.
"I will be the one who will pick the mangoes, and you're going to carefully put them in the basket." instructed Marcus.
"Okay, then. Let's do it!" Dana energetically stated.
Marcus started climbing at a certain mango tree, and he quickly picked some fruits.
"Here, catch it, Dana!" Marcus calls put for her attention. 
Dana lets out a triumphant smile when she was able to catch the mangoes, without letting them fall unto the ground.
They continued doing the same thing again, and again, until they are able to fill out few baskets...

Three hours have passed, and Dana's starting to get tired but she's actually enjoying everything.
Manuel, the leader of the group suddenly calls for a fifteen-minute break...

After the fifteen-minute break, Dana told Marcus that she's going to climb the tree and be the mango picker this time...
"Wait, are you sure you can do it?" Paul. asked, while looking hesitant.
"Don't worry about me too much, okay? I can handle this." Dana confidently reassures him.
Then without any other word, Dana started climbing the tree without any problems.
"See? I can do it, right?" Dana confidently said to Marcus.
"That's nice, but you have to be really careful!" Paul reminded her, and she can hear the worried tone on his voice.
Dana was about to say something but she wasn't able to do so because her foot suddenly slips from one of the tree's thick branches. She knows that she is quickly falling. She just closed her eyes and prepared for the worst thing to happen...
After a few seconds, she heard the people screaming around her.
"Are you okay, Dana?" she heard Marcus' worried voice again.
Dana slowly opens her eyes, and she heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Marcus' face.
"Oh, Marcus!" she exclaimed.
She then noticed in much shock and surprise that she's lying on top of Marcus, and they are both lying on the ground! Then her shock suddenly changes when she realized that Marcus is wincing because of pain.
Paul was trying to catch her fall, but she ended up hurting him in the end! 
Fifty Seven Sweet
"Oh my gosh! Are you alright, Marcus?" she worriedly asked him.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry about me." Marcus tries to reassure her with a smile.
At that exact moment, the leader of the group suddenly came their way along with two other people to check up on Marcus.
"Are you okay, Marcus?" Manuel suddenly asks him.
"It's a bit painful, but I'm still alive and kicking." Paul lets out a smile.
"We're going to drive you to the nearest hospital. You must have broken your arm, and you need to be checked by a doctor." Manuel immediately decided.
Everything went by so fast. Dana helplessly watches the three men carry Marcus towards the small trunk to drive him to the hospital. 
After a few minutes, they are now making their way to the nearest hospital. Marcus' head is resting on Dana's lap.
"I really am sorry, Marcus... This is all my fault!" Dana is now crying non-stop.
"Shh, don't cry, Dana. And no one is at fault. Please stop crying as if someone has passed away." Marcus can still joke around.
Dana must've looked like an idiot because she's crying and smiling at the same time.
But she's also glad a relieved because Marcus seems like he's doing well...

It's been three weeks since the accident at mango farm happened. Dana has been visiting Marcus at his Aunt's house, just to  take care of him, and to assist him with his daily routine while his right hand is still wearing a cast.
On that particular rainy day, Dana visited Marcus again, since his Aunt is not at home because she needs to go to the market to buy some stocks of food...
"Dana, can I ask you something?" Marcus suddenly asks her.
"Of course. What is it?" Dana smilingly inquired, while she's peeling some fruits for Marcus.
"Can I regularly drop by your house?" Marcus spoke again.
Dana curiously frowned after she heard him. 
"Why do you need to let me know about it? You can drop by the house at anytime!" she said.
"Well, this time, I have different reason on why I want to visit you in your house." Marcus mysteriously stated.
"You're talking in riddles, Marcus. Can't you just go straight to the point?" Dana's getting more and more curious.
Marcus lets out a deep, calming breath before he can speak again. Afterwards, he stared at Dana straight into her eyes. 
It was as if Marcus was restless as he sighed continuously... After that, he stared at Dana. 
"I would like to go to your house to romantically pursue you." he went straight to the point.
Dana stared back at Marcus in surprise. She was unable to say anything because of shock.
"I want to court you in an old-fashioned way, Dana. You deserve to be respected that's why I'm doing this. I'm going to do everything and anything that I can so that you can be my girlfriend, if I'm lucky." relayed Marcus.
Dana is still in shock, and she's still unable to speak.
Marcus and Dana stared at each other for a few minutes. No one dared to speak, as they continue to stare at each other's eyes.
Marcus' body automatically acted on its own. He slowly gets closer until their faces are just a few inches with each other. Then, Marcus planted a small and quick kiss on Dana's right cheek.
Dana held her own breath, and her heart started beating like crazy. 
After that kiss on the cheek, Dana blinked several times, as if she was under a trance. When she finally regained her composure, she suddenly raised her hand and slapped Marcus. 
"Wait, why did you suddenly slap me?" Marcus asked in obvious surprise. 
Dana's whole face started getting red like a steamed crab.
"You stole a kiss from me! How dare you do that!" she demanded. 
"I'm so sorry... I hope you can forgive me?" Marcus sincerely apologizes.
"Don't do it again not until you become my boyfriend!" Dana announced.
"Okay, I promise with all my heart and soul." Marcus made a promise, while raising his hand as if he's inside the court.
"Good. Now eat these fruits!" Dana strictly said.
Marcus ate the fruits with much gusto while Dana's watching him with a small smile on her lips... 
Well, it wouldn't be so bad if she will give him a chance to court him...
