Few days have passed.
Clarissa and her colleague, Angel, are having a 15-minute break at work. They are at the al fresco table outside the convenience store, while enjoying some pastries and having iced coffee. 
"The pastries and the iced coffee tastes good! Let's order at that coffee shop again." Angel smilingly said, while looking satisfied with their afternoon snack.
"I agree with you... Anyway, our 15-minute break is over, we should go back to work." Clarissa suggested.
"Yep, back to work..." Angel nodded in agreement.
Clarissa volunteered to put their trash on the garbage can. As she was about to throw the trash, she suddenly saw something inside. She frowned when she saw something squared, and there were some colorful wires attached into it. There was also a red counter on it and the numbers are changing.
And she's not stupid not to know what it was.
"Angel, run away!" she shouted at her co-worker.
Angel started running away, and Clarissa did the same thing too, however, the small device exploded, and it caused an explosion. 
"
The explosion was loud enough and as a result, Clarissa and Angel heard some ringing sounds on their ears...

At a nearby hospital.
"There.It's just a minor cut, but good thing we cleaned it up. And still seemed pretty shaken,dear.I suggest that you should go home, soak up in a warm bath and drink some warm cup of tea. It'll help you relax." the doctor suggested, after putting a small gauze on Clarissa's forehead.
"Thank you." Clarissa thanked the good doctor.
After the doctor gave her some more instructions, he left to make his rounds to the other patients.
"Are you alright, Clarissa? If you didn't give me a warning, we might be in a critical condition right now." Angel seriously stated. 
"Yeah. We're still very lucky. But for now, let's follow the doctor's advice. Let's go home and take a rest." decided Clarissa.
But much to Clarissa's surprise, Clarissa suddenly heard Michele's voice, calling her name.
As soon as she looks up, she saw Michele standing infront of her. Her boyfriend's face is so white like a clear paper sheet, and he is sweating and catching his breath.
It's obvious that he went to the hospital in a hurry to see her.
"Clarissa, are you alright? Are you hurt somewhere? What did the doctor say?" Michele bombarded her with questions.
"Just relax, Michele. The doctor said that I'm perfectly alright and I just need to take. rest." Clarissa reassures her boyfriend.
"---Okay lovebirds, I should be going now. I called my boyfriend and he's waiting for me outside. Michele, just drive your girlfriend home, okay?" Angel suddenly joined the conversation.
And once Angel finally made her exit, Michele loviny stared at Clarissa.
"I'll drive you home so that you can take a rest." he spoke again.
But much to Michele's surprise, Clarissa shook her head as an answer.
"I don't feel like going home yet. Iwant to breathe in some fresh air. Is it okay if we can take a stroll at the park?" Clarissa suggested.
"Are you sure?" asked Michele.
"Yes. And besides,I need someone to talk to." replied Clarissa.
"Okay. If that's what you want." Michele finally nodded.
"I'll get us some warm coffee along the way." said Michele.
They both made their way out from the hospital, while walking hand in hand...

At the nearby park.
"Sorry for making you wait." Michele said, while holding two cups of coffee that he bought from the nearby coffee shop. 
"Thank you, love." Clarissa smiled at her boyfriend. She took few sips of her coffee and it warmed her whole body.
Michele sat beside Clarissa and took a sip from his coffee cup.
"After I saw the news at the television, I went out to find you. You just don't know how glad and relieved I am when I saw you at the hospital. I thought I was going to die." 
"Everything happened in a blur. I was just about to throw some garbage at the trashcan, and the. I saw the small bomb and it quickly went off. Good thing we were able to run away on time." Clarissa relayed. 
Clarissa suddenly started trembling. This evening has been strangely cold to her, eventhough it's almost summertime.
Michele immediately took off his light jacket and wrapped it around his girlfriend. 
Clarissa's lips broke into a loving smile.
"I'm so glad you're here with me, my love." she whispered at Michele.
"I promise, I'll always be here for you." Michele promised to the woman he loves.
Clarissa feels tired all of a sudden.
"I think you're really tired. It's time to go home." Michele gently whispered at her. 
"That's a good idea. Let's go."  Clarissa nodded in agreement.
Michele gently escorted Clarissa as they make their way to the area where he parked his car. 
When Michele was able to help Clarissa go inside the passenger's seat, he quickly went to the driver's seat. He then noticed that Clarissa was already fast asleep.
"I'm so glad you're safe, my love. My heart almost stopped when I heard the news. I thought I was going to die." Michele gently whispered, while watching Clarissa sleeping. 
"Hmm..." murmured Clarissa, as she falls into a deep sleep. 
Michele started the engine and started driving to Clarissa's apartment.
But while he is driving, he can't himself but think more about the improvised bomb that was inside the trashcan, near the convenience store where Clarissa is working.
Michele needs to do his own investigation about what happened. He doesn't give a damn if he does it in a legal way or illegal way.
He would kill anyone who would try to hurt Clarissa. As long as he is alive, he will protect his beloved at any cost.
No one should dare hurt her, and he won't have any thoughts on becoming a killer.
He doesn't care about himself anymore. What matters to him right now is Clarissa, and he is willing to sacrifice his life for her.
