The following morning, Yun Xi woke up naturally. As soon as she woke up, her eyes met with Mo Shan's, who was already awake and staring at her. Yun Xi blanked out for a moment. When she returned to her senses, she felt Mo Shan's hand on her lips and chin.
At first, she was confused as to what he was doing. But then she realized that she was drooling, and he was helping her wipe it. Her face burned at the realization. She wanted to dig up a hole and burrow herself into it at that moment. She hastily went inside covers to hide her face.
Yun Xi heard Mo Shan laughing outside the covers. She practically slapped herself in the forehead and thought, "Yun Xi, why did you have to hide under the covers? You should have just face him directly. Great! Now you have thoroughly embarrassed yourself."
Just as she was thinking about what to do, Mo Shan took the cover off her face. Yun Xi hurriedly closed her eyes tightly as if he wouldn't see her. Mo Shan chuckled at ger tactics. "Come on now. Wake up. It was nothing. Moreover, it's time for Xiao Hui to wake up. He will be here in a while."
Yun Xi finally opened her eyes when he mentioned Xiao Hui. She looked at him awkwardly, "Hehe, then I will go and have a shower." She wanted to run with that intention but before she could get up properly, Mo Shan pushed her down. She looked at Mo Shan nervously waiting for him to talk.
But, she didn't expect his words to be like this- "Where is my morning kiss?"
Yun Xi was stupefied by his request. She blinked a few more times to check if she was dreaming, but she was not. How could a cool boss like him ask for a kiss so shamelessly? If his employees got to know about it, they would probably think that their boss has gone crazy.
She was thinking about how to get out of this situation when Mo Shan leaned closer to her. Before Yun Xi could react, Mo Shan's mouth covered hers. Yun Xi hastily closed her eyes, not knowing what to do, and how to react. Soon enough, she became lost in the kiss. Mo Shan felt happy when Yun Xi tried to reciprocate. He couldn’t control himself and deepened their kiss.
His tongue easily slipped into Yun Xi’s mouth, intertwining their tongues together. He just couldn’t get enough of her sweet lips. They spent nearly 10 minutes just in kissing. Mo Shan was the first who got control over himself and let her go. Yun Xi was still closing her eyes and anticipating more kisses when Mo Shan’s voice sounded in her ears. “What? You don’t want to get up? If not then, let’s continue.”
Yun Xi opened her eyes stunned and then ran to the bathroom for a shower with a red face. She closed the door with a bang and looked at herself in the mirror embarrassed. She grabbed her hot cheeks and chided herself, “Get a grip of yourself, Yun Xi. How can you so easily be infatuated by him?”
She had just managed to get control of herself when she remembered what conspired just a while ago. She turned red again. She slapped herself in the cheeks. “Are you pervert? How can you think about that like this? Stupid pregnancy hormones.” She just wanted some excuse to blame, and the pregnancy hormones were her best excuse.
She tried to not think about it anymore and hurriedly had a shower to meet Xiao Hui at the earliest.
As soon as she walked out of the bathroom, she saw Xiao Hui puffing his cheeks. He looked cute even when he was sulking. Yun Xi couldn’t bear his cute looks and walked to him. “Darling, you are already awake? Come, kiss mommy.”
As soon as the little guy heard his mommy's voice, he ran to her with a grieving look. He looked as if he was unhappy about something and was going to complain to his mommy.
Xiao Hui directly jumped into Yun Xi's arms and called out in a grieving tone, “Mommy".
Yun Xi became a bit flustered when she heard Xiao Hui's sad voice. “What happened? Who bullied you?”
Xiao Hui’s eyes lit up when she finally saw a chance to complain. He pointed his chubby fingers towards his father who was sitting on a rattan chair and reading the newspaper.
Mo Shan took her eyes back from the newspaper and looked at his son. He raised his eyes at his son as if asking why he was dragged in the middle. Even Yun Xi was confused. What had Mo Shan done to make Xiao Hui so sad?
She faced Xiao Hui and asked him, “Baby, what did your father do?”
Xiao Hui glared at his father and replied without any hesitation, “Father stole mommy from Xiao Hui.”
Yun Xi was speechless. She didn’t know what to say anymore and glared at Mo Shan. Xiao Hui also caught her glaring at Mo Shan. He thought that his mother was really angry and was going to scold Mo Shan. He became happy thinking like that and glanced at Mo Shan cheekily. His expression was clearly saying, “Hah! You stole mommy from Xiao Hui. Now get scolded.”
Mo Shan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when he got the glare from those two. His lips curled in helplessness, “You can sleep with both mommy and daddy from now on then.”
When Xiao Hui heard his words, he tightened his grip around Yun Xi's neck and glared at his father. Even now, he was trying to steal, hmph! Fine, let’s see who mommy will choose.
With this thought, he faced Yun Xi with teary eyes and said while choking in tears, “Mommy, Xiao Hui had a very bad dream this morning.”
Yun Xi's heart hurt even more after hearing that. She also started blaming herself to give in to Mo Shan yesterday. So this time, she decisively spoke, “Mommy is sorry. From today, Mommy will sleep with Xiao Hui. Mommy will sing lullabies and sing songs for Xiao Hui.”
Xiao Hui turned completely cheerful after he got what he wanted. “Mommy, Xiao Hui is hungry. Let’s go have to breakfast.”
Yun Xi nodded and walked out of the room with Xiao Hui in tow. She even forgot the presence of Mo Shan in there. Behind them, Mo Shan was sad but could not even complain about it. He could only follow them grudgingly.
Downstairs, Butler Li and other maids were busy preparing the guest lists, foods, and decorations for Xiao Hui's birthday. There was already some presents place on the table which were sent by faraway relatives. When Butler Li saw the pairs coming downstairs, he assigned someone to serve them breakfast.
Yun Xi was embarrassed to face everyone as she woke up late today. But she felt glad when everyone just continued to act normally.
She then fed Xiao Hui, gave him a few smooches, and finally left for office with Mo Shan. She was determined to finish the design, appraise the required stones today, and then start creating it into a real piece starting tomorrow.
