As soon as Yun Xi walked out of the bathroom, she could sense a change in the atmosphere in the room. She knew something was wrong in there.
She looked at the father-son duo who were looking away from each other. They weren't even glancing at each other, completely treating each other as air.
Yun Xi asked, "What's happening here?"
"Nothing," came the instantaneous reply from both of them.
Glaring at his father, Xiao Hui directly ran to Yun Xi. "Mommy, Xiao Hui wants to have a shower."
Yun Xi raised her eyebrow at her son's behavior. He has never asked her before to help him bathe. "Oh, okay. Let's go." She replied.
Behind them, Mo Shan grumbled to himself. "I shouldn't have showered first. That way, I could have acted like Xiao Hui too. Tsk, what a waste."
Imagining Yun Xi helping him bathe made Mo Shan's face turn deep red. He rubbed his nose to see if he was bleeding from feeling hot.

"Xiao Hui, what happened earlier?" Yun Xi asked Xiao Hui gently.
Xiao Hui avoided her eyes guiltily. "It's nothing, Mommy. Xiao Hui was just hungry, so I got angry at father." While he thought, "Sorry, Mommy. Xiao Hui lied to you."
"Okay, then. Let's finish bathing quickly. Mommy will serve you breakfast then."

When they came out after showering, they found that the room was empty. Mo Shan wasn't in there anymore. "He must have gone downstairs," thought Yun Xi.
Dressing Xiao Hui up, they walked out too. But just as she came out, Yun Xi felt someone's gaze on her. She looked around to see who was there. While looking around, her eyes met directly with Linda's. 
She saw Linda immediately smile upon meeting her gaze. But Yun Xi was sure that Linda was glaring at her just a few seconds ago. "That girl sure is weird," she thought to herself.
Not giving her any heed, Yun Xi took Xiao Hui's hand and walked away from there. "Come Xiao Hui. Let's go. Everyone must be waiting for us."
Just as she said, everyone was already downstairs at the main table. Maids were serving breakfast to everyone. Yun Xi helped Xiao Hui sit next to Mo Shan. Then, she helped maids serve breakfast to everyone.
Just then, Linda arrived there too. "Good morning, grandpa." Linda immediately greeted Old Master Mo enthusiastically.
"Oh, Linda. You are here. Come sit." Old Master Mo in turn greeted her back.
Linda took the seat next to Xiao Hui's. But before she could sit there, Xiao Hui chided her. "This is my mommy's seat. Sister Linda, why are you going to sit here?"
Hearing Xiao Hui's words, everyone's attention fell on Linda. Linda smiled awkwardly at being brought forward to everyone's gaze. "Oh, sorry. I forgot about Mrs. Mo. I used to sit here before, so I instinctively took the chair. Sorry." With that, she sat next to Mo Sheng, which turned out to be the opposite seat from Yun Xi's.
The rest of the family members got back to their own work, but Yun Xi was still looking at Linda. She could see Linda glaring at her seat. Yun Xi could not fathom why Linda was behaving like that.
Shaking her head, she went to sit next to Xiao Hui. Everyone began their breakfast.
"Oh, right. Father, isn't today the day for mother's check-up?" Mother Mo asked Old Master Mo.
Mo Shan spoke before Old Master Mo, "Yes, Wang Lei is coming to check up on Grandmother. You can rest assured."
Actually, on the 20th of each month, Wang Lei would visit Mo Residence to check up on Old Madam Mo. And today was 20.
Yun Xi didn't know about this before. But she noted it down in her brain after knowing about it.
After breakfast, it was time for them to leave for company. But since Wang Lei was coming to check up on Old Madam Mo, Yun Xi requested Mo Shan to leave only after her check-up is done. Helpless, Mo Shan could only agree to her request.
Around 10, Wang Lei arrived at Mo Residence with another person beside him. It was his assistant. 
Wang Lei greeted Old Master Mo first. After that, he headed directly to the room where Old Madam Mo was kept. He requested everyone to go out of the room. Everyone left in their own, knowing very well about the rules.
After a while, Wang Lei walked out. He straightly walked to Old Master Mo and spoke solemnly. "I can see some improvement in her health. But I cannot be sure when Grandma Mo will wake up. But I reckon it won't take very long from now. She has begun sensing her environment, which is a very good sign. In the meantime, we have to take care of her even more. Message her body almost regularly. This will enhance the blood flow in her body. And she also won't feel much stiff when she wakes up."
"Wang boy, are you telling the truth? Is my wife really recovering?" Old Master Mo asked with a shaky voice.
Only he knew how much he has prayed all these years for her to wake up. Only he knew how much he wanted to hear these words. But he only got a few pacifying words every time. But now, he was finally hearing the words he wanted to hear so badly. 
"Yes, Grandpa. Actually, Grandma had already started showing signs of recovery a few months ago but they were very faint. So my father didn't want to raise your hope. That's why he had hidden these from you. But today I can see a great level of recovery."
Old Master Mo nodded his head. If Wang Lei's father had said it, then it must be true. Everyone in the country knew how formidable Wang Lei's father Wang Shi was in the medical field. So, even he was no one to question his diagnosis.
Wang Lei soon returned to his casual demeanor and started teasing Old Master Mo. "Grandpa Mo, I think you should start exercising now. Otherwise, when Grandma Mo wakes up, she might like your weak self anymore."
"You brat! I am still stronger than you," Old Master Mo humphed.
Everyone laughed hearing his words. The tense atmosphere finally eased a little. Yun Xi could see tears in Mother Mo's eyes. Just looking at her face, she could tell how much Mother Mo cared about Old Madam Mo. 
As she was looking at everyone's expression, she also came across Linda's. She could tell Linda was not as happy as other family members. Even her smile was a reluctant one.
Yun Xi's eyes narrowed looking at her. As Old Madam Mo's caretaker, she should have been the happiest person. But why was she looking like that? The more she looked at Linda, the more she started feeling something off about that girl.
"I guess I should talk to Mo Shan again about this girl," Yun Xi decided in her heart.
After the check-up was done, Mo Shan and Yun Xi left for the company while Wang Lei had to stay in Mo Residence upon Old Master Mo's insistence. He wanted to treat him for something as he got the good news of his beloved wife waking up soon. His happiness knew no bounds.

On their way to the company, Mo Shan spoke up. "It's our company's anniversary soon. And the anniversary every year is very grand. Also on that day, we showcase some of our best works. There will also be a jewelry showcase. If you want, you can participate in it."
Yun Xi's eyes lit up at that. It was one of the best chances to get recognition for herself as a designer. 
Just then, Mo Shan spoke up again. "But I don't want you to take part in it."
Yun Xi's expression went off like a deflated balloon. "Why?" she asked.
"Because you are expecting a child. And I don't want you to be under any stress. You might have no idea, but the completion is really fierce."
Warmth coursed through her heart when she heard his words. "Don't worry about it. I won't stress too much about it. I promise. If you don't believe me, then you can keep checking on me."
Mo Shan smiled listening to her words. "Fine," he replied helplessly.
"En," Yun Xi gave him a smile.
