Getting to the hospital, I saw Steve sitting beside his Dad at the side of my mum, both of them looked towards my direction as I made an entrance into the room, my mum was fast asleep but Mr Peter and Steve continued sitting there, maybe they have no plans to leave yet or they're probably waiting for me to show up before they head for their exit.
     The package I was asked to bring back was already there before me, Steve surely decided to get my back, I still don't understand what changed, was he doing all this because he thought he was responsible for my mum ending up in the hospital bed or was there something else.
     I know Steve, he can be good when he thinks he ought to, that's one of the key reasons I wanted to be like him, but this, he is too good to be true.
     “ Thought you would be the one to bring the package but Steve here told me you had to take care of something first ”.
     I looked towards Steve's direction, he looks more like my friend right now with all he have done today, we have made a lot of encounters today, on different occasions.
     “ Yes Sir, had to go check up on something at home, so Steve decided to take care of the errand ”.
     I definitely owe no one any explanation for my actions, but Mr Peter definitely deserve one, he has sacrificed a lot towards my mother's health despite all of us knowing the possibility of her getting back on her feet is a 5 out of a 100, a lost cause.
     “ Here's what I want you to do Ben, and please I hope you accept my request ”.
     His hands were together as if he was praying to me, he's definitely pleading and I wonder what he's pleading for. 
“ What is that Sir?”, with a deep breath, he spoke out.
“ I want Steve to accompany you to your house, pick everything you find useful, you have to relocate today...... Please try to understand ”.
     I guess Mr Peter has been opportuned to understand me more and more, it's not always about money for me, no, he had to plead for me to oblige with his request because he is sure aware that there's a high chance of me over looking this offer, especially with the unexpected beef that continuously arose between me and Steve, he's definitely not thinking straight, I can say that he is blinded by love for the meantime, and the last decision lies in my palms because if anything is to happen to my mum, he might stop treating me the way he is doing right now, but in the other hand, my mum would love me to go live with him since I would be under no one's care and protection.
     “ No Sir, I won't be moving in just like that, I believe I need time to think this through, ...... and I hope you understand too ”.
     I went to the other side of the bed, my eyes getting wet, seeing my mum lying helplessly on the bed, my heroin whose health is far from saving.
     “ Mum, I know you can hear me ..... Try to stay with me much longer, please!”.
Is my mum getting better?, No, but at least, she should try and chip in some more days, she's the only one I got now, it's her responsibility to stay alive if she wish for my well being. Brian is no where to be found, Deborah has gone rogue, Rose is mad at me and Steve the only one who was a threat has now turned into an ally, my mum is at the point of death, all this happening all around my corner.
     I woke up around 02:30.a.m. Steve was awake, tears clothing his eyes, he was stareing at me, Mr Peter was not here but someone else was, Rose, she was sitting right beside me, head on my shoulder, I can hear the sound of her sob showing that she was also awake right beside me, thought she was extremely mad at me, how come she's here?.
     “ Hey Rose, when did you come here?, Why are you crying?, Did something happen?”.
I don't know what is wrong with her, but whatever it is, I want to console her, maybe she's thinking about Brian, I feel his absence too and I am still wondering where he might be. She didn't reply me, she doesn't even want to look at me.
     “ Steve what's wrong?, Why are you crying like a kid in the middle of the..........”.
     I became speechless immediately I saw the empty bed in front of me, oh sh*t.
