Walking into the hallway, Steve and me walking side by side, all eyes turned to us, most eyes actually, both of us were on a black attire but different outfit, I can notice the way my confidence keeps increasing as days pass by, Steve has been the one pushing me beyond my limit, and as of now, I have made it a hubby, My muscles keeps on increasing as the days pass, I am getting huge and muscular, giving both me and Steve similar physique but different faces and a small amount of heights separates us, just two inches taller than him I guess.
     “ Words of advice, don't react when you see it ”. Steve adviced me, what shouldn't I react about?, I haven't...... Oh, that is bad, this is really bad, how can I overlook this?, Something so triggering, I know the picture might not be bad for the moment, but it might get to it later. Rose was resting her back on the locker while Joe stands before her, right hand placed on the locker while both of them shares the same smile reaching to their eyes, I tightened my hand into a fist as pain rush through me, we kept getting closer and closer to them as we walk, having that thought of punching Joe by the side of his cheeks.
“ Losen up bro, remember what I told you before....... You are the prize here, act like one ”.
     Steve had this smile on his face as he speaks, definitely trying to hide the type of conversation we are having with many people around, his left hand was inside his pocket and the other one was hanging comfortably on the air, showing how confident he looks. I should copy his posture and confidence, it would help keep me reserved. Rose turned, seeing me as we made eye contact, ( don't look away Ben!, Don't look away ), I tried maintaining that eye contact and tried holding my expression on check while my heart burns, we got past them and my eyes are now way forward like she was never there, I am not just hiding this from her, I am hiding this from everyone, if I let my pain sip into my facial expression, then someone in here might definitely send words to Rose, I don't know the game she's playing, but whatever it is that made her want to do this, it's really hurting me, it's making me burn inside.
     “ Wow bro...... You don't know how impressed I am, like damn, you killed it bro, when I saw both of you stareing at each other, I prayed you never look down, I am impressed, really ".
“ I never knew you caught me stareing ”, I replied to him, face down, hands together while resting on my thighs, mind elsewhere but still listening.
“ I would have definitely blamed myself if you had looked away from her or looked down showing submission towards her, you impressed me ”.
I don't know how, but a smile creeped in into my lips, I looked up at him and saw the genuine smile on his face, he meant it, he really meant that. When it comes to impression, impressing someone like Steve or Mr Peter is a combo, a real jackpot, his confession right now has managed to lift my mood a bit. I trust his judgement when it comes to the situation between me and Rose right now, by the way Deborah is coming after him just to ask of his forgiveness, you can definitely tell that Steve here is a relationship guru, knows how to break down a girl's ego. I should listen to him, just stay calm, build myself, find my purpose, only then I can possibly get what belongs to me back.
     “ You are a gem Steve, I pity Deborah for losing in on someone like you, she really messed up ”.
I laid down my thoughts to Steve, he has to know that he justed lifted my spirit at this instant without him knowing all he has just done. I grabbed my backpack, put it on onto my back and was about to leave his presence.
“ Here's a heads-up Ben, you might thought Deborah lost me, just like you said...... But here's the thing bro, the moment you start upgrading your life, you are going to say many goodbyes to people around you, because you will realize you don't need any of them to get your happiness, Deborah did nothing wrong to me, but karma did something to her, she's a girl who left a great guy like you for me, and I know that she would still leave me one day for another guy whom she might think is better than me, so I had to act fast ”.
