Sushie, who was happily eating her popcorn, was also watching the silent exchange between the couple.
She could feel the love and strong bond between them.
And, through their interactions, she couldn't help but remember the storyline of one of the books she read.
The book was titled : The Better Place.
It's about two lovely couples who always dreamt of spending their whole life together but a test result shattered all their hopes.
They both carried the sickle cell gene which makes their union forbidden!
Despite this, they couldn't imagine their life apart as their lives revolved around each other.
They had given their all into the Three year long relationship and are not willing to be separated no matter the situation.
So despite the threatening consequences, they took that decision. They took that hard and difficult decision to be together despite the odds.
They became one after all the formalities had been completed.
And, when they thought they were both set for the consequences ahead.
They were wrong as when the consequences came to bite them in the back, where it stung.
Their worst fear came true... Their first born turned out to be a sickle cell!
There's no denying of the fact that their decision caused that to happen. It was a difficult thing to accept that their daughter was going to live a life of pain!
Nevertheless, they put themselves together and decided to face the challenges as they come and overcome them.
Their daughter was given the best treatment plan both in their home country and abroad.
Luckily for them, their other children were not born sickle cell.
This lessened their worries in a way.
But, years later, it seemed like fate was playing a dangerous game with them as their worst nightmare soon came true.
The worst nightmare of every parent...
When they thought they had it all, It was proven to them that money could purchase everything but, not life and good health.
The sad reality of how useless money was when it came to life and health was revealed to them.
At that moment, they Realized that as beings no matter how rich or wealthy we are, at some point we have to surrender all to a greater power.
Then, they had no choice but to rely on a miracle.
They cried, prayed and did all they could for a miracle.
But, it seemed like luck wasn't in their favor.
God's will about that particular case was different from theirs.
And when this happens, As humans we have nothing to do than to surrender to God's will...
The female lead and Male lead both suffered the worst nightmare of watching their own daughter breathe her last.
They watched her being laid to the ground... They watched their daughter being pronounced Dead and just had to accept it all...
It was a bitter portion to consume but, somehow they had to swallow it.
But, one thing that kept them going was that their lovely daughter was in a better place.
A place free from all the pain and hardship of this world.
A place of no sorrow or sadness.
A place of Everlasting happiness and joy.
This served as their comfort.
Accepting God's will for once' life can be very hard and tasking but sometimes in life we have no other alternative than to.
Just like, Adam and Lucy had to accept God's will for their lovely daughter despite how hard it was to.
Despite everything, Sushie still held on until she believed that everything happens for a reason.
Though as humans we might not see that at that moment but eventually we will.
Though some people might not be so Willing to accept it as they keep questioning why a particular thing was happening to them and why not someone else.
But one fact they have forgotten is that, if not you then who else?
Who else?
We find ourselves asking, " Why me? " On and on again.
But one thing we seem to have forgotten is that, Why can't it be us?
After asking, Why me?
We should also try asking, " Why can't it be me? " Too.
Asking ourselves this will go a long way in changing our perspective on things.

The first movie soon began playing and everyone present focused their attention on the large screen in front of them. As the movie continued playing, they all remained rooted to their seats as their eyes glued to the screen in front of them. It wasn't until the film ended did they finally adjust their position and speak. " Oh, what an emotional movie. " Kelvin said as he wiped out the imaginary tear that dropped from his eyes. " It was. We all know that, but you don't have to be so dramatic about it. " Sushie quipped. " The film was indeed an emotional one , I could feel the mother's emotions. " Naomi commented. " I, on the other hand, felt moved by the song being played. " Sushi said. " Oh... The song, oceans? " " Yeah... " " The movie is based on a real life story. " Danny who had been silent all the while said. " Really, Bro? " Sushie turned to him. " Yeah... " " It's no wonder it's very emotional and real. " Naomi sighed. " You made the right choice by choosing the movie, Danny. " Naomi's Husband said. " I guess so... " The movie they just finished viewing was a box breaking Christain movie which was titled, Breakthrough. It's about a guy who managed to escape death despite all hope being lost. He almost drowned in ice water while trying to save his mates who were trapped.. When help arrived. It was almost too late. His body was already dead cold from being soaked underwater for too long. There was also no pulse. In the operating room, he was lying lifelessly on the bed there. When, the doctors had given up on him. His family didn't. They just kept Praying. And with the song, Oceans. A miracle Happened. While they continued praying and singing the song, Oceans in a heartfelt way.... In a way that feels so emotional that one could break down in tears just by listened to them sing. A miracle happened. And, He who had no pulse came back to life. He won over death. He overcame death. He broke through! This breakthrough stunned the medical teams present. What happened cannot be explained by science as it had never happened before. For a person with no pulse to come back to life in the most supernatural way is unspoken off and can't be explained. The lyrics of the song, Oceans : Where feet may fail, explained all that needed to be. The lyrics went thus.... The song's lyrics carried lots of powerful messages. The song can be made use of in times of worry, anxiety and distress. It reminds us where our help was from and how we can rely on that source in times of worry and anxiety. *** Afterwards, they went ahead to watch the next movie. It was Titled, Remember the Goal.. The main message of the movie was taken from the book of 1cor 10:31. Which says. 1 Corinthians 10:31 : Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. The movie reminds us of the fact that Life is just like a race and during that race we should always be mindful of the goal we are aiming for. It also talks about the key things needed in our journey of life which are. 1. Patience. 2. Persistence. 3. Prayer 4. Perseverance 5. Courage. Etc. After the two movies, they all laid on the couch deep in thought as they processed all the information they had just learnt from the two Christain movies. Lesson learnt : Remember the goal! ....
