" I am so glad to hear that, Baby Sushie... " He smiled proudly like a mother hen.
" Err... Whatever. " I said with a shrug.
I yawned as I stared at the wall clock, seeing that it's currently five minutes to midnight. I closed my text books.
" It's already so late, I am going to bed. Bye. " I said and was about to stand up when I was stopped by Brother's voice.
" Wait... " He held my hand as he stopped me.
" What's wrong? " I stared at him groggily.
" You don't remember? " His question confused me.
What is he talking about? What have I forgotten?
" What do you mean? "
" So you don't remember? "
" I don't... Can you do me a favor by reminding me about what I have probably forgotten? " I said, staring at him.
He closed his eyes with a sigh before opening it up and looking back at me.
" What? " I asked, clearly confused.
I had already begun to wrack my brains for answers but I got none... But wait, I began to feel an ache in my heart as I kept on wracking my brain.
I really couldn't figure out what all of this was about.
What's going on?
I couldn't help but think.
" It's alright, Sushi... You don't need to wrack your brains for answers. " He said and I nodded simply.
" So can I go now? " I asked him sleepily.
" You can. " He said with a smile...
" Oh... " I was really surprised by his attitude, no goodnight greetings or goodnight pecks?
Can't blame me for being this way since I was already used to it... So..
" Um.. " I said before Preparing to stand up.
I noticed that the moment I stood up the lights went dim and before I couldn't comprehend what was going on, I heard the sound of the wall clock struck midnight and almost immediately the lights came back.
But this time it wasn't the usual white lights but multicolored lights.
Again before I could react, I felt some stuff pouring upon me from above like rain.
This followed the sounds of voices wishing.
" Happy birthday Sweet sixteen!!!! "
I was left astounded by that, Birthday?
Today's....

Don't tell me...
I was still engrossed in my thoughts when I felt myself being raised from the ground and being rolled around.
" Happy sweet sixteen, baby sister...! " Brother's voice rang in my ears as he rolled me around.
I was dazed for a while before I finally came to my senses, " Hey... Please put me down. " I said and he obliged.
The moment my feet touched the ground, I felt a little dizzy and almost fell backwards but was held in a warm embrace before I could.
I stayed in the embrace for minutes before I felt better, I no longer felt as sleepy as I was feeling earlier...
I was released from the embrace and before I knew it, happy birthday songs filled the room.
And soon, I was hugged from behind, " Happy birthday, Little Susie!!! '' Naomi embraced me.
" Thanks... "
Then, one of my favorite maids also came ahead to hug and wish me a happy birthday.
Assistant Kelvin and Naomi's husband also followed.
" I can't believe that you forgot about your own birthday, Sushie! '' Brother chuckled and everyone else laughed.
" Well... I didn't know that that's what you were referring to alright? "
" Uh.. trying to cover it all up. " He smirked...

" Come on you two! Naomi said before turning to me, " let's go Sushie... " I nodded as I simply followed her out of the study room without questions.
She led me to my room and there she made me change into an off shouldered purple ball gown...
In case you don't know, purple is actually my best and favorite color and the ball gown was what I'll call my dream dress.
It was designed so perfectly that I couldn't help swooning as I stared at the full body mirror.
It was too perfect!
Naomi made me sit in front of the mirror as she styled my hair up perfectly and powdered my face.
She also made me wear a collection of diamond jewelry.
The necklace had a pendant with a purple color beautifully drawn, sixteen on it..
The bracelets and the earrings also had the sixteen ( 1 and 6 ) attached to them both in the middle and at the end.
When she was done, I stared at my reflection in the mirror and was completely stunned...
I looked no less than a real princess!
To say that I was completely stunned by reflection in the mirror would probably be an understatement.
" You look so beautiful, Sweet Sixteen! " Naomi said and I blushed.
" Thank you... You are amazing, I must say! " I replied.
" Aw.. thanks... "
Then, she made me wear a matching set of wedged glass slippers.
As I wasn't a fan of heels, the slippers were only about two inches high, probably too low for a normal person, but were perfect for me, I must say.
When we were done with all the dressing up, we walked out of the room.
