Sushie sighed a little as she read the book to the end.
Indeed, she too had to agree that everything happens for a reason.
Just as she dropped her cell phone on the bed.
Her stomach grumbled.
Then she remembered that she hadn't had lunch and it was already 4pm.
' What should I do now? I'll starve to death if I don't hear downstairs to eat. But... '
She was too embarrassed to even think of going downstairs.
Though nothing much changed about her or her appearance, nevertheless, she still felt very different.
Perhaps it was all in her head.
But whatever it is, it still feels very real.
While she was still dwindling on what to do as she laid tiredly in bed, she heard a knock at the door..
As she thought the one knocking was, Naomi. She gave the permission for the knocker to come in.
And almost immediately the door opened and Danny's figure came into View.
Seeing him, Sushie was stunned.
' Not again! ' She screamed in her head as she covered her entire body with the duvet in embarrassment.
Seeing her reaction, Danny who was kind of expecting this Simply shook his head helplessly.
He simply placed the tray of food on the bedside table before settling down on the couch next to his bed and began checking his emails on his phone.
Though it looked like he was really checking his phone, the truth is, he was watching Sushie discreetly all the time.
Sushie who was unaware of this, removed the cover from her face when she thought he was gone but, immediately she did.
The scent of his unique perfume filled the air.
Then she realized that he was still in the room.
' Why is he still here? Can't he just leave? ' She grumbled inwardly.
She was about to cover her face when she heard his chuckle.
" I didn't know you could be this stubborn, Sushie... " He said..
His words made Sushie's ear stand in alertness, though she didn't reply to him.
" You better sit up and have your food if you really love your stomach. "
" I'll only do that if you leave the room. "
" Oh really? " He stared at her and when he saw her nod.
He grinned evilly as he spoke. " Fine then. You can stay hungry as I am not going to leave the room. In Fact I am planning to stay here for the night. Happy now? "
" You...! You can't do that! " Sushie retorted.
" Oh, and why can't I? " He questioned her teasingly.
" You...! " Sushie was completely speechless as his level of shamelessness.
Seeing this, Danny chucked once again before retracting his gaze back to his phone as he continued reading the emails.
Silence reigned between the two of them before, Sushi finally accepted defeat when her stomach grumbled again for the third time.
" I'll eat. But can you give me some privacy for a few minutes so I can eat peacefully? " She compromised.
" That's not happening. I kind of find myself enjoying the atmosphere of this room. " He replied, crossing his legs.
" You...! Why are you being so mean, brother? " She questioned.
" And why are you being so insecure? " He threw a question back at her.
Sushie went silent when she heard his words.
How could she tell him about her insecurities?
He won't understand it will it?
" You see, everything that's happening with you is normal... There's nothing weird about it and that's why I don't see why you are being this way. "
Still, Sushie was silent.
" If you can't be comfortable around me and the others, how then will you be comfortable around the others who you aren't familiar with? Or don't tell me that you are planning to lock yourself in your room every five days in a month? "
His words got her thinking.
In Fact she might have even planned to do that.
" If that's what you are thinking then you better snap out of it quickly! The world won't be more considerate of you just because you are female and need more privacy and so on. " He said this bluntly, raising his voice a little.
Though he was blunt, Sushie couldn't help agreeing with him.
" You can't be weak! You can let anything hold you back! You have to be strong! You have to stand up for yourself! You have to fight the insecurities and regain your self confidence! You owe it to yourself to do that! " He lectured.
As it was the first time he was raising his voice at her, Sushie couldn't help but cower in fear.
It was a reflex action actually as she didn't do it voluntarily.
Seeing this, Danny felt a little guilty and so softened his voice a little.
" I know that it must be hard for you. Having lived in a society where women are being uncared for. Nonetheless, you have to change your perspective about things and stand up for yourself. Only then will you be a true Princess, Kay? "
" Yeah... I'll try.." Sushie finally spoke after moments of thoughts.
" I Know you will... " He said as he smiled at her.
