Myla opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. Ares smirked as he moved away from her and placed his hand behind his back.
“Come along little slave, we have somewhere to be" Myla was about to nod when she caught sight of Luane and Noah. They waved her over and she couldn't help but smile.
“Why are you smiling? You're liking the idea of spending time with me?" She turned back to Ares and almost sighed out loud. Why was he so narcissistic?
“Erm.... I really need to pee" Ares stared at her for a while then nodded.
“You can pee behind those barrels" Myla gasped.
“I'm not a dog!" Ares raised an eyebrow at her with an amused smile on his face.
“Listen, this is the Werewolf Realm and the only reason no one has pounced on you yet is because you're by my side" Myla narrowed her eyes at him.
“Won't that save you the trouble of having a human besides you? I thought you hated humans?" Ares' eyes immediately darkened and Myla suddenly felt a bit scared.
“I hate them with every molecule in my blood but you little slave, you belong to me so I can mend you in the way I wish you should follow" Myla almost scoffed out loud. He was definitely going to be the one getting molded and thrown into hell.
“Let me just go pee in the bushes over there, I'll be quick" Ares stared at her for a while then turned around and walked away.
“Come look for me when you're done" He told her without turning back. Myla took a deep breath before running towards the bushes.
As soon as she saw Luane and Noah, she immediately ran to hug them.
“Oh you guys have no idea how it feels to see a familiar face. I missed you both" Noah pulled away for her and grabbed her face.
“Did he hurt you? What happened? tell us everything" Myla shook his head.
“He hasn't done anything to me.... Yet. Surprisingly, he has been really nice, a little full of himself but nice" Luane scoffed.
“He must be acting. We have heard a lot of rumors around town on how he kills people without thinking twice. He's actually a monster,Myla" Myla nodded. Just because he was kind to her on the first day didn't mean she had forgotten about what he did to her father.
“Don't worry, I will never forget my mission. I'll make him pay but for now, I have to gain his trust first" Noah furrowed his eyebrows.
“Why Do you have to do that? You can just kill him off now and we can finally leave this disgusting town" Noah grimaced as he looked around them.
“I've only been with him for one day but I've noticed something. He doesn't let his guard down to people he doesn't trust or isn't close with. If I try to take action now, I'll probably get killed so no,I need to get closer to him first and stab in the back when he least expects it" Noah glanced at Luane then sighed.
“I just hope you won't forget about the mission, Myla" Myla glared at him.
“My father was killed by him, there's no way I'm going to forget about that so don't worry about me, I've got this" Noah sighed then hugged her.
“I'm just worried about you, I don't want you getting hurt" Myla smiled as she pulled away from him.
“You seem to be forgetting who I am. I'm Myla hunter and I don't get hurt, I hurt others" They chuckled then she sighed.
“I have to go now, apparently it's very dangerous for a human to be walking around the streets without a wolf so I have to go find him. Goodbye" They both waved her goodbye and she walked away.
She could see that some of them were giving her odd stares but she tried not to mind it. She searched around for Ares and found him talking to a man who was wearing a cloak. She was about walking towards him when someone grabbed her hand.
She turned around and was met with a pair of golden eyes.
“What's a human doing around here?" He sneered in her face and she had to fight down the urge of punching him right in the teeth.
“I came with my....master" She said calmly and the men chuckled.
“I don't see any proof of ownership so maybe I'll just take you back with me till your owner comes looking for you" He smiled at her and she had never felt more disgusted in her life. She used all her strength to yank away her hand from his grip.
“Excuse me" She muttered but immediately gasped when the man's hand connected with her bottom. She turned around and was about to punch the stupid grin off his face when she felt a cold aura behind her. She turned around and it was like everything happened like a flash.
Ares grabbed the man by his neck and threw him to the ground then placed his leg just above his heart.
“How dare you touch what's mine?" He said slowly but his words carried a lot of authority.
“Spare me Alpha king, I... I didn't know she was yours" Ares rolled his eyes as he pressed his foot harder on the man's chest which made the man groan out in pain.
Myla glanced around and saw that a huge crowd had gathered around them then she turned back to Ares and gasped when she saw his red eyes.
“You should know by now that I don't do mercy" Ares removed his leg from the man's chest which surprised everyone including Myla but before the man could move, Ares used his foot to crush the man's skull.
Myla didn't know when a scream escaped her mouth. She had never seen such brutality before.
Ares gently removed his leg away from the man's shattered skull and brain then turned to her and Myla could have sworn she saw the devil.
