CHAPTER NINETEEN
Ares grabbed Cornelius by the neck and slender him across the wall.
“I thought I told you to be with her at all times?” Ares said it calmly but his eyes were filled with fury.
“I was but then she said she had to pee. I couldn’t go with her” Ares tightened his hand around Cornelius’ neck.
“I gave you an order that no matter what, you shouldn’t leave her side. Why did you disobey me?” Cornelius tried to talk but Ares’ fingers around his neck was making it difficult.
“Ares, why do you care so much? It’s just a slave” Ares threw Cornelius on the ground then turned to Isabel. The look in his eyes made her take a step back.
“Speak again and you are going to wish you were the one missing” Isabel gulped as she nodded.
“Gather the troops, Cornelius. Search the whole kingdom, leaving no stone untouched. Get me a horse, I’ll go look for her right now” Cornelius nodded and immediately carried on with his orders.
Minutes later, he came back with two horses and handed one to Ares.
“I’m coming with you, I was the one who lost her so I’ve got to find her” Ares nodded slightly at him before getting on his horse.
“Is the troop ready?” He questioned Cornelius as they rode into town.
“They are searching for her as we speak,” Ares nodded.
“Good. You better hope nothing has happened to her, Cornelius” Cornelius gulped. This human!

Myla opened up her eyes slowly and immediately groaned when she felt the throbbing pain at the back of her head. She reached out to touch it and when she saw the blood on her fingers, she suddenly remembered what had happened to her.
She tried getting up but her legs and hands were tied. Where the hell was she? Why was she tied up? These questions ran through her head as she glanced around.
The place was dark and it smelt like crap. She couldn’t hear anyone around her so she was the only one in the room.
“Hello!! Is anyone there?!!” She yelled. When she didn’t get a reply, she yelled again and the door suddenly opened with a groan
“Shut up, will you? Gosh, you are even more annoying then I remembered” Her eyes widened when she heard that voice. She knew that voice.
“Henry? Is that you?” Henry chuckled.
“Yes it’s me, did you miss me, feisty princess?” Myla frowned.
“What the heck am I doing here and why am I tied up here?” I heard his footsteps as he walked up to me.
“Someone paid us a hefty amount to get you out of this realm. So guess what? We are taking you to the Lycan territory” Myla gasped.
“Why the fuck am I going over there? Get me out of here, Henry or I swear, you’re going to regret it” Henry chuckled.
“What can you do, weak human? Just shut up and stay put. We’ll be leaving tomorrow” She wanted to say something else but he was already gone.
She screamed out of frustration. This was not part of the plan, she needed to get out of here, fast!!
•
Henry had a smile on his face as he walked up to a woman covered in a cloak.
“Don’t worry ma’am, everything is being taken care of. She’ll be out of here before you know it” The woman shook her head.
“She had to be out of here by tonight. Ares is searching for her all over town” Henry’s eyes widened.
“What… What? Why… why would he be searching for a slave” The woman scoffed.
“This is the reason why I want her gone! If you have to kill her then so be it!” Henry shook his head.
“If The Alpha king is searching for her then it’s better to return her. He obviously cares for her” The woman shook her head then brought out money from her cloak and handed it to him.
“Kill her and dump her somewhere. He doesn’t have to know and no matter what, this shouldn’t be traced back to me. Got it?” Henry nodded.
“Got it ma’am” Then she left.

Luane and Noah who had been listening in on their conversation shook their heads.
“Did he really think he could kill her that easily? If anything, she would be killing him. Should we go help her out?” Noah murmured. Liane shook her head.
“Didn’t you hear? Ares is looking for her” Noah scoffed.
“All the more reason to save her now” Lusne rolled her eyes.
“This is going to bring them closer and bring us closer to her mission too. All we have to do now is drop hints for him so he can be led here before Myla ends up killing the man” Noah sighed.
“I hate this,” Luane giggled.
“Get used to it”

Ares searched around the town but still Myla was nowhere to be found and he was slowly losing his cool.
“Hey! Isn’t that Myla’s hair clip?” Ares turned to Corneli as soon as he said that. He rode over to where the clip was, jumped down from his horse and picked it up. He nodded.
“It is” Just then, he caught a little bit of her scent. He turned towards the direction and slowly walked towards it. Cornelius jumped out of his horse and followed behind him.
“Well, it seems he didn’t need our help. Let’s head back” Luane muttered before leaving. Noah sighed before following behind her.

Myla squinted her eyes as soon as the lights were turned on. Seconds later, she opened her eyes and saw four buff men holding axes and swords while Henry stood in front of them.
“What do you think you’re doing, Henry?” She asked slowly. He smiled at her.
“I’m sorry this has to be the last time you’ll ever see my face. I’m not mad though, I never liked you” Her eyes widened as she suddenly understood his words. She looked at all the men as she shifted backwards. Why?! Why was she suddenly feeling so helpless? She was a hunter, A Warrior so why was she feeling this way?
She hated the feeling. She had none of her weapons on her so she had no way of getting out of this one. Where was Luane and Noah when she needed them?
“Why are you doing this?” Henry sighed as he moved closer to her and squatted in front of her.
“Because I don’t like you and because I was paid a hefty amount of money” She winced as he sliced her hand with the knife in his hand.
“I can’t kill, I’ve never killed before and that’s why these men are here to help me. That slice was for everything you have ever done to me” Then he stood up.
“Good bye, Myla” Myla pursed her lips. There was no way she was going to die like this, no way!
She was about to say something when the door bursted m open. They all turned to the door and their eyes widened when they saw the blackest wolf they have ever seen in their life and his red eyes were staring right at Myla.
Before she could blink, the wolf pounced on Henry and tore him up shreds in front of her. Another brown wolf ran into the room but her eyes were on the black wolf. It killed like it had been made to starve for years.
The throbbing in the back of her head became worse and no matter how much she tried to keep her eyes open, She lost consciousness with only one thing in mind. Ares came to find her…
