Myla stared back at Ares with wide eyes while he stared at her with a smirk. His eyes trailed down her body and she instantly sucked in her breath. She felt like he was undressing her with his eyes and for some reason, she didn't mind it and that infuriated her.
“I'm glad you would, Ares" That seemed to snapped Ares out of his thoughts. He turned to Cornelius with a nod.
“Leave us now, I have to be somewhere with my slave today" Cornelius glanced at them hesitantly then nodded.
“Alright, if that's what you desire. Make sure you watch over the Alpha king" Cornelius said to the guards before walking away.
“Let's go," Ares murmured, then walked away. Before Myla could take a step further, she heard someone yell Ares' name from behind them. They both turned around and Myla saw a boy her age running towards them with a smile on his face.
“Ares! I hardly see you these days, where have you been?" Myla noticed how hyper the guy was and she was kind of surprised at how freely he spoke to Ares. It seemed like everyone she had come across all seemed to fear Ares.
She glanced at the slave besides the hyper boy and she immediately gasped.
“Melody?!" She called out without giving it a second thought. Melody raised up her head and her eyes immediately widened when she saw Myla.
“Myla?!"
“Oh? I see you guys are friends. That's better for me, that means I can hang out with Ares more" Ares rolled his eyes.
“And what makes you think that, Lucas? Why are you yelling my name like a lunatic?" Myla thought that Ares's harsh words would hurt Lucas but he just laughed it off.
“I didn't expect you to turn to be honest" Then his eyes drifted towards Myla.
“You..... I was about buying you before my brother showed up but oh well, I still like the slave I bought. Don't you think she looks cute?" Myla frowned. She didn't like the way Lucas was talking about them. It was like they were a pet or something.
“Lucas, I have to be somewhere now so let's pick up this conversation some other time, okay?" Lucas nodded.
“When will you be free?" Ares shrugged then turned away from him.
“When I'm less busy, come on Myla" Myla waved goodbye at Melody before following behind Ares.
“Wait.... You are never not busy!" Lucas shouted from behind and Myla saw the corner of Ares' lips lift up a little and she almost gasped out loud. Oh my so the demon king had a heart? Who would have thought.
“Are you close to Lucas?" Her eyes widened as soon as those questioned came out of her mouth. She hadn't meant to say that out loud.
Ares stopped walking then turned to her with a smirk.
“You'd like to know?" Myla was taken aback by his question. She stared at him for a while then slowly nodded. Ares smirked then leaned closer to her ear.
“The less you know about me, the better. Never ask me about my family again" He said it calmly but Leah knew his threats weren't empty. She quickly nodded then turned away from him.
Ares straightened up then continued walking.
“Alpha king, should I get the carriage ready?" One of the guards said from behind them.
“No need and I want to be alone with my slave" They all halted then bowed down their to him.
“Alright Alpha King" Then they walked away.
“Where are we going all by ourselves?" She narrowed her eyes at him. She didn't trust him one bit and only God knew if he was taking her away to go kill her and eat up her flesh.
“Little slave, why do you ask so much questions?" Ares questioned without turning to her.
“Erm it's just because..."
“You are afraid of me, isn't it? Well don't worry little slave. I can't kill you yet because I haven't gotten a taste of you, did you think I wasted one million dollars for nothing?" He smirked at her and at this Moment, Myla wanted nothing more than to punch him in the face.
“I never said I was afraid of you" Ares' eyes suddenly widened in shock at her words.
“What?"
“Yes your presence is very intimidating but I'm not afraid of you so stop trying to scare me" She didn't know why she was talking to him like this but she just wanted him to know that she feared no now. If he did try to use her as a sex slave, he was going to loose his life on the spot.
Ares stared at her for a while then turned away.
“Hm" Was all he said. Silence overwhelmed them as they walked out of the castle grounds.
As they walked towards God knows where, Everyone kept glancing at them,well more specifically at Ares in Awe. They would just stop and stare and it affected Myla more than she thought it would but Ares didn't even seem to mind the stares. He still walked with his shoulders held up high like he owned the world and Myla found herself starting up at him in awe too. Was this the effect he had on people?
“Little slave, I don't think it's appropriate to stare at your master with such intense desire in your eyes" Myla's eyes widened.
“Wha.... what?! I'm not staring at you with desire!" Ares turned to her with a smirk.
“Oh so now I'm a liar, huh? Cornelius was right, maybe I do need to punish you but by the looks of it, it seems you're going to enjoy the kind of punishment I have in store for you" Myla furrowed her eyebrows at him. What was he talking about?
“I don't.... I don't understand what you're saying" Ares eyes trailed down her body then returned back to her face with a smirk on his.
“Things just became more interesting than I thought".....
