Myla stared at him for a while in utter shock. She was about to say something when Cornelius barged into the room with wide eyes. He turned to them.
“I heard what happened" He walked up to Ares and grabbed his hand.

“Are you okay?" Myla furrowed her eyebrows. Why was he asking Ares that when Ares was the one who murdered someone?
Ares rolled his eyes as he snatched his hand away from Cornelius' grip.
“Of course I am, when have I never been?" Cornelius heaved a sigh of relief then turned to Myla with a frown.
“What did you do this time?" Myla fought the urge to roll her eyes. She knew for a fact that he knew she was the victim here but he just wanted to put the blame on her.
“Why are you her, Cornelius?" Ares questioned as he walked over to the bed and sat down.
“Your uncles are requesting your presence. Everyone is already there so they are waiting for you now" Ares sighed. He could never get to rest around here.
He stood up from the bed.
“Come help me put out a lighter tunic" He muttered. Cornelius stepped forward and was about to help Ares out of the tunic he was currently wearing when Ares grabbed his hand.
“What do you think you're doing?" Cornelius frowned with confusion.
“You asked me to help you put on another tunic" Ares rolled his eyes then turned to Myla who was staring at them curiously.
“Little slave, I was talking to you" Myla turned to him with wide eyes.
“Me?"
She questioned as she pointed at herself. Ares rolled his eyes.
“Come here now, Myla. Leave us alone, Cornelius" Cornelius bowed his head. He turned around and gave Myla a dirty look before leaving the room.
“Come here, Myla. Don't make me say it again" Myla gulped.
“Why don't you take off your tunic while I look for another one for you?" Ares tilted his head at her.
“Come undress me" He said plainly which almost made Myla groan out loud. She has never undressed a guy before.
She took a deep breath before slowly walking towards him.

“Okay take a deep breath, you are just taking off his tunic, that's all" She thought to herself reassuringly as she stood in front of him. She raised up her head to stare at him and found him staring at her with an amused smile then he raised up his arms.
“Come on, we don't have all day" Myla nodded slowly then reached out for the tunic and pulled it off Ares. Her heart was racing so fast and she knew he could hear it. She was just taking off his tunic but why was there so much tension?
She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw he was wearing an undergarment under the tunic. She pulled off the tunic then took it over to Ares' closet. She searched around and saw a tunic that looked light but also regal so she pulled it out and turned to Ares who had a bored expression on his face. She placed the other tunic on the chair then walked over and helped him put on the other tunic.
“Why are you wearing an eye patch?" Her eyes widened when she heard herself say. She raised up her head and sure enough, his eye had turned cold.
“Be quick, I have to be somewhere" He said totally ignoring her question which only piqued her interest more. She nodded then quickly put on the tunic. As soon as she was done, he turned away from her and walked towards the door.
“Let's go, Myla" He muttered without turning to her. Myla sighed as she followed behind him.

The noise coming from the throne room immediately diminished as soon as Ares walked into the room with Myla behind him.
He walked towards his throne and sat down then turned to Myla.

“Stand beside me throne" Myla nodded then stood beside him, facing all the men in the throne room. One of them threw her a dirty look then scoffed.
“You took a long time getting here, Ares" Ares turned to the middle aged man with a raised eyebrow.
“Yeah, and?" The man cleared his throat at the power tone in Ares' voice.
“We are here to discuss something confidential, I don't think your slave should be here" The man muttered and the rest agreed with him.
“Yes Ares. What if our plan gets out?" Leo interjected. Ares stared at all of them for a while then turned to Myla who was just staring at all of them with a scowl and he almost laughed. One day, she was going to get herself killed because of how badly she hid her emotions.
“Little slave, are you going to tell anyone about whatever we are going to talk about in here?" Myla's eyes widened as soon as she heard him. She turned to him and stared at him for a while then shook her head.
“I have no one to tell" Ares nodded then turned to the men.
“There you have it. Now, let's get on with this meeting" He said with a yawn. The man who had spoken earlier stood up from his chair.
“Her words mean nothing to us. She could be lying for all we know. Just let her step outside for a while and… " Ares turned to him with a sharp gaze and the man choked on his words.
“She's staying here and that's final. Whoever speaks on this again will have to fight me to get her out. Control your father, Leo. You know I hate it when others challenge me" He said calmly but everyone could feel the power and the threat in his voice.
Leo looked at his father and silently asked him to take a seat. The man sighed then sat back down on his seat.
“Forgive me, Alpha king" Ares nodded.
“So what is this meeting about?" Leo stood up.
“My Intel found a small pack on the coast of an island. It's not very large but it has strong warriors. I've seen them battle first hand but there's a problem" Ares tilted his head at him.
“Which is?"
“They have a very old mindset and believe in cannibalism. It's going to be very hard to breach through their walls" Ares frowned. He didn't know cannibalism still existed.
“So what is the plan?" Leo looked over to the strategist who immediately stood up.

“I say we gather all the strong warriors we have and invade them" Myla scoffed.
“That's the dumbest plan I've ever heard" The minute those words left her mouth, she instantly regretted it….
