Chapter 18

"Yes, I am," Nisha said holding her sister's hand. "But not this early."
A faint smile appeared on Kailua's face as she touched her sister's face.
"Do you plan on getting rid of me?" Nisha asked.
Smiling, Kailua walked to take her to sit.
"Aren't you excited?" Nisha asked seeing her sister's mood.
"It's okay," Kailua said. "I am so happy that you will stay here with me a little."
Nisha nodded to the words her sister said.
"Moreover, it will be boring here when I am left alone," Kailua said and both sisters laughed.
"However," Nisha said taking her seat. "Our parents aren't going anywhere today so you will have a great time with them."
Kailua, who already knew, had to act like she didn't know.
"So, by what time will you be leaving?" She asked.
Nisha looked weirdly at her and sighed.
"Do you really want to send me out?" She asked but Kailua smiled.
"I really do not," Kailua replied. "I am just being concerned. "I do not want you to miss out on anything."
 "Alright," Nisha said.
Looking at her elder sister, she walked to another couch.
"Why do I sense blood?" She asked.
 "Blood?" Kailua asked.
"Yes, I do smell blood." She replied.
Kailua got up to her feet checking her clothes.
"Am I stained?" She asked Nisha who couldn't help but laugh.
"I was only pulling your legs," Nisha said laughing.
Kailua shook her head looking at Nisha. She walked to her and began tickling her.
"Easy! Easy!" Nisha said and her sister tickled her.
Taking in a deep breath, Kailua looked at her parents who walked out from their room smiling as they saw their daughter's play.
"Good morning, Dad and Mum," Kailua said likewise did her sister.
"Good morning, my daughters." Her mother said.
"I should go have my bath," Nisha said.
Left alone with Kailua, her parents sat down.
"Thank you for the gifts you brought yesterday." Her mother said. "Although, we should be telling you goodbye as from tomorrow."
"But I will still be here tomorrow," Kailua said, and her mother nodded.
"Yes, we know." Her father said.
"I remember when you were little." He continued, "You ran around with Nisha and Doula."
Doula was the name she didn't want to hear now. Her chest began to hurt immediately when her father called that name.
"She is probably thinking of me," Kailua said softly touching her chest.
"Is anything wrong with you?" Her mother asked and she shook her head.
"There is nothing wrong with me." She replied.
"Do you need a cup of water?" Her mother again asked.
 "No, I don't." She said.
Her father placed his hand around his wife's neck.
"She just said that she is okay and that's all that matters." He said and she nodded.
Thirty minutes later, Nisha walked out wearing her school dress and carrying a bag.
"I will be off now." She said giving them all a peck on the cheek.
They all waved at her as she walked out.
Kailua looked at her parents and shook her head.
"What is it, Kailua?" Her mother asked.
"Nothing, just hold on." She said and left to her room.
Checking where she had kept the knife in the room, she saw two pairs instead of the one that she kept.
"It's easier if you use the two."She heard and looked up.
 She smiled seeing Meni.
"Use one on your father and the other on your mother at the same time," Meni said.
Taking a deep breath, she took up the knives in both hands and then looked at the door.
"Father, mother, I am sorry." She said. "Our bond has ended since yesterday."
Waking out, she saw her parents watching the TV and then moved to their front.
Before any of them could say anything, she pierced into their heart with a knife.
Nisha, who wanted to speak a word or two to her parents, opened the door and was welcomed with this sight.
Kailua drove the knife into their skin and their bodies fell down.
She bent and began lapping their blood.
Nisha, who couldn't get any of this, fell to the ground, but on seeing her sister look at her, she got up from the floor and ran, panting.
Nevertheless, Kailua continued lapping their blood.
Hours later, she was done and heard the sound of cheering.
"You've done a great job." The queen mother who appeared said. "You need to clean your mouth and clean up this place."
"What about the bodies?" Kailua asked.
"Take them back to their room." The queen mother said. "You need to flee the house within an hour and come to us."
"Can't I stay a day here?" Kailua asked.
"You can't." The queen mother replied. "You haven't been given the power of invisibility."
"My sister wants to invite the officers on me?" She asked and the queen mother nodded.
Kailua took the two bodies with her back into their room, and then she went to clean her mouth.
Getting back into her room, she picked up her powder and her bag then left the house.
She walked as fast as she could to the cathedral and teleported back to the gate of their clan.
"Welcome our own Kailua." The mother said walking to her.
She giggled as she was happy to be back.
"You are now part of us." The mother said. "There is only one step for you to see the queen mother face to face."
"What is it, mother?" She asked.
"Come along with me." The mother said.
Kailua walked by the side of the mother and smiled seeing Meni.
"Meni!" She called and the both of them hugged.
"I am so glad you were able to perform the task," Meni said then left her. "You should go with Mother for your last task before you can meet with the Queen Mother."
"Alright, I am so eager to see her one-on-one," Kailua said with a giggle.
Walking away with their mother, she was taken to a room.
