Chapter 21

The next week, Kailua was excited that she was going to begin her mission.
"Kailua, I noticed that you are so happy," Meni said.
"Yes, I am so happy," Kailua said. "I will be beginning my task today."
Meni smiled touching her friend's cheek.
"I hope you find success in everything you do. I hope Doula gets to see you as you want." Meni said.
"She surely will see me and I promise that." She said assuredly.
Meni smiled holding Kailua's hand. She held out her hand and put a ring in it." What is this for?" Kailua asked.
"It's for your protection so that you don't come between water and fire." She said.
"Oh yes, I can remember what you told me about water and fire," Kailua said, wearing the ring on her finger. "Do you have more?"
"Yes, I have other of them. You should keep this very well." She said and Kailua nodded.
"Alright, we should get down to eat with our pairs," Kailua said.
The friends smiled walking to the first floor.
Immediately they got to the table, they were directed to another room.
"We do have our meal with Queen Mother sometimes," Meni said walking with Kailua.
"It will be good to have our meal with her sometimes," Kailua said then stopped when Meni's words sank into her. "Hold on, do you mean we would be having our meal with the queen mother?"
 Meni smiled nodding her head.
"Yes, that is what I mean." She said, seeing the surprised look on Kailua's face.
She only patted her back and they walked in.
"Claudia, lead on." They heard the queen mother say when they all had settled.
The mother got up and smiled.
"For the newbies in the house, I would like to welcome you to your first breakfast with the queen." She said and they all roared. "Today, I would like us all to cooperate, for the task ahead of us is great."
The mother smiled taking her sit while the queen mother told them to all eat.
Immediately, Kailua took a spoon in; she couldn't say a word again as it was delicious.
Meni looked at her friend, whose eyes widened and guessed it was the food as that had been the way she had also done when she first ate with the queen's mother.
"It's delicious, right?" She asked Kailua who looked at her and nodded.
They continued eating till they were done.
"Will you like some tea or water?" She asked as they finished eating.
"Tea," Kailua said, and a cup of tea appeared in her front. "Should I?"
 "Yes, you can." She answered.
Kailua took up the tea and drank it.
"This is tasty." She said, drinking it, and Meni smiled.
Immediately after the meal with the queen mother, they all went out and Kailua looked at Meni.
 "I need instructions." She said.
 "For what?" Meni asked.
"For my task." She said and Meni let out a small laugh.
"You don't need to be instructed," Meni said. "All you need is to know what you are doing and you are going to make your people especially Doula to hate you."
"Alright." She said. "Do I need to take anything along?"
"You do not need," Meni replied. "You only need to stay away from what I told you although you have the ring as your protection. It can only be seen by you and no one else."
With that said, they both arrived at the gate at the same time and waved at each other.
Kailua appeared at the cathedral in her community and smiled.
"Where do I start from?" She asked.
Her instinct told her to keep moving so she kept moving.
"Hello!" She called a man walking by the wayside.
The man walked to her asking for what she wanted.
She chanted some words to the man, who nodded, following her.
A young girl walked to the man calling her father, but he pushed her away, making her hit her head on a stone.
Kailua could not help but smile as the girl winked in pain.
She raised her head and walked to the girl who was bleeding and tasted the blood on the floor.
"Not so bad." She said looking at the girl who rolled.
"Do not worry, mistress. She can't do anything." The man said.
Angrily, Kailua slapped the man, making him fall to his feet.
"Father!" The girl called bringing out a knife to stab Kailua.
Kailua was quick enough to take the knife from the girl and stab her until she was about to die.
The young girl looked at her father and called him before breeding her last then she died.
Everyone who saw this fled for their dear life.
Kailua looked at the blood on the ground.
"Bad blood." She said and picked up the man throwing away the knife.
While moving, her eyes narrowed to some people along the way who were selling fruits.
She smiled as she remembered always buying fruit at Doula's house.
Moving to one of the women, she pointed to a fruit.
 "It's twenty." The woman said.
Kailua took the fruit and used the woman's knife to puncture the head. She drank the water in the fruit and left the fruit.
"Aren't you going to pay?" The woman asked.
"With him." She said softly looking at the man with her.
"You are a thief and deserve to be arrested." The woman said.
Before she could do anything, Kailua disappeared, leaving the man she had chanted on behind.
Getting to another part of the community, Kailua began to laugh.
A vision appeared to her and she saw Nisha telling Doula about what she did.
"I have no business with them." She said to herself.
Minutes later, her eyes were on a couple who were arguing.
She walked to them in a bid to settle their quarrel.
"I guess you both are couples."
"Yes, we are." The lady said looking down.
