“Natanie!” Her mother who was obviously eavesdropping on their conversation, called after her daughter as she hurriedly chased and followed behind, trying to catch up with her daughter's pace. Natanie stopped on her tracks and looked at her mother who rolled her eyes. “How did things go with you and Fred?” Her mother asked liked it wasn't obvious even from the look on her daughter's face. Natanie looked down at her feet. “Mum, Fredrick and I had a fall out.” She said with sadness in her voice. “Again!” Her mother exclaimed. “What on earth is wrong with the two of you?” Tears brimmed in Natanie's eyes as she brought her teary eyes to look at her mother. “I don't think our relationship will work at this point, since it always turns out to be a fight at the end of our every conversation.” Natanie said and bit her lip to stifle her sobs on her way out, leaving her mother hanging with no further explanations. Her mother stared wide-eyed after her daughter until she was out of sight. All she wanted was for Natanie to be happy, and her effort of bringing the two couples together was obviously not working and it seems to just go down the drain every time she tried to make it work for them. But she had to keep going, if more money and resources from Fredrick would make it possible, then so be it. Natanie’s heart was tearing apart from the constant drain she feels whenever Fredrick was involved in her business. When she got to the Dance Palace, she quickly wrapped her arms tightly around herself and struggled to carry her feet. She felt a faint quiver disturb her lower lip, threatening to unleash a torrent of tears. “Natanie _” Madina, a middle aged woman called out from a little distance at the sight of Natanie. Madina is a kind and supportive woman who works as an assisting staff at the Dance Palace. She is also quite supportive of Natanie, almost like a second parent. “Hello, Madina.” Natanie said sadly when she got closer to Madina, she didn't care to hide her teary eyes. “Oh Natanie, what is wrong? Why are you crying?” Madina asked worriedly trying to towel her hands dry with her apron. Natanie sniffled. “I'm not crying.” “How can you say that when it's so obvious? Those tears are even threading down those pretty cheeks of yours.” Madina said, even more convinced that something was wrong. Natanie sniffled again and lowered her face to the ground like a sad little child. “Fred and I had a fight this morning and it hurts that the same thing keeps repeating itself over and over again.” Natanie cried. It wasn't the morning encounter with him that has her knee deep in sadness, but the reoccurrence of their fights, disagreement and their unfortunate love tale. Her mother, Cathera had brought in Fredrick to be her fiance and even though she didn't like her choice for a suitor for her, she accepted and bottled her emotions, thinking her feelings for him would change if she gave him a chance. But it never did. Instead, being with Frederick felt like a suffocating trench. “Oh Natanie don't cry, you know I hate to see you like this.” Madina said softly trying to calm Natanie. “I'm sorry Madina but I can't help but feel scared that everything I do to make our relationship work and go as planned, always end up turning into shambles. Then again, I feel so choked up trying to do so.” Natanie muttered. “I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish I could do anything to help you right now.” Madina said. “It's okay Madina, you've actually helped me enough by being here and I know I'll be fine _ I just need take a couple minutes alone.” Natanie said and moved away from Madina. “Alright, go ahead.” Madina said as she watched her leave. Madina’s heart dipped for her favorite dancer. There was this unexplainable affection she's nurtured since the first time she saw Natanie. That's the reason why she cared for her ever since. “If only you will realize you love the wrong man, Natanie.” Madina whispered to herself as she sighed. Cathera paced from one end of the room to the other, anxiety obviously pricked her pores. “You had a fight with my daughter?” Cathera rolled her eyes. “How stupid can you be? Don't you realize we are trying to make this work for you both?” She shouted. “Well, you should also realize that your daughter is so stubborn! And damn, I hate it!” Fredrick shouted back trying to control his anger. Cathera sighed and continued pacing, the one and only decision on her mind being the marriage of her daughter and Fredrick. She was determined to make it work at all cost. Her eyes rested on Fredrick. “I think you should give her some time.” Cathera suggested and looked away from him as if, searching for more words to convince him to be patient. “Time you say? Well I most definitely don't have time for crap! I mean this is what I pay you for, right? To convince her, to manipulate her, just so she would marry me, to love me but just take a look, you always fail at every task!” Fredrick seethed, almost loosing his self control. “But she does love you Fredrick, what more do you want me to do for you?” She continued to pace round the room but this time, she nursed a nervous expression. Fredrick seemed to blink back something as he moved towards her and she momentarily stopped pacing. “Well, my dear Cathera, maybe she does love me but that alone is not enough. I want her to marry me sooner than later. I just want you to do that for me and I bet that'll be the last task you'll do for me _ and slowly, everything will go as planned without her knowledge and then after the marriage document is ready, we will only need her to sign and she's all mine, forever.” Fredrick grinned with clenched fists. Cathera recollected herself. “That task automatically means more money.” He nodded. “My secretary will contact you.” Fredrick left the house with a defined frown etched to his features.
